I wished American High School Gyms had lighting like this! I'm currently running a Canon 7d mkii and Canon 75-300 f/4-5.6🤮 and I'm forced to shoot around 4000 ISO; still comes out rough and dark.
@@pickle7637 I try to keep my ISO around 2000-6400 and shutter speed high as well. I then denoise the photos with lightroom. With slower moving action like free throws, I lower the shutter speed and ISO to get really crisp photos.
This may be a dumb question, but how do u take so many pictures at once, where it like makes the shutter sound a bunch, and then a lot of photos in the moment come out? Is that a higher shutter speed, do you hold down the button to shoot a picture?
Usually I have the Eye/face detection off and set the focus are to wide with continues AF. Sometimes I set the area to center just to make sure the focus does not jump on to another player and keep the main target in the center of the frame! For WB I use a app called KEV WB - to see exactly what white balance it is or then just on auto 🤌🏻
Hi. I watch this video a lot because I have a Sony A7III R with a Tamron 70-200mm. I recently had my first shoot with this combo and it failed miserably. The auto focus didn't work at all, it was a constant battle. What gives? Please advise.
Hey i have question for the lens. I use Sony A6400 are tamron 28-75mm is good enough for indoor sport with not very good enough bright light? Or i shoulr buy prime lens with f 1.8?
Please , please tell me what focus settings did you use ? Zone , flexible spot ? I would greatly appreciate an answer. Also, you dont go wide open ? Why is that ?
I swich between them but mostly Center Zone! this way i can assure with autofocus that it stays where i want to 😊 Usually would go wide open, but when you just run and gun sometimes it stays at something else then wide open and then it's easier to fix the light with something else 🤌🏻
@@KimiElias thank you so much ! I worked a bit on my "technique" with focusing and i think i like flexible spot L and expand flexible spot. It is more difficult, but the results are better if you nail the focus. It all depends on how much the subject occupies from the screen...
Raw usually, but noticed on my Sony A7sIII that the pictureprofile from videos stays on.. So the ones shot whit that has the same pp-settings as my videos. But highly suggest shooting pure raw
I have a Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III for the Sony A7 III and I've tried shooting football with it, it's not too bad when the light is good but it's unusable indoors so I'm looking for a 70-180 2.8 lens.
i’m getting my tax return and i’m doing this. i’m GOING to do this. and your video is gonna be a huge help. it makes me so excited man. i’m nervous, iffy, but so excited because i know i can do this.

oh my 🤯
I jsut started doing High School basketball and my god, it's so diffuclt. I never realized how dim the lights were in a high school gym. Great shots.
what do you do about it or what would you recommend I do?

Right!? 😮💨 Lightrooms Denoise has evolved so much latley!! Such a saviour🤝

Yeah by choosing highest amount of frames per second, combined eith high shutter speed you can with holding down the shutter button just blast!
what lens and what focal length would you recommend for soccer photography and for the sony A7iv
I would not go for anything smaller than a 70-200. That and above is needed for soccer 🙏🏻 maybe some wide for artistic shots and venue shots
Awesome! Great shots 🔥🔥🔥
Do you feel the 70-180 tamron was good for basketball or did you need that extra 20 mm. Trying to decide between 70-180 or 70-200 thanks
I've seen that the 180 is enough, now when I do mostly videos I allmost all the time use 28-75mm !
Thank you 🫶🏽
Love your video man, one of my biggest dream (sports photography).
Im curious to know about the focus area, white balance and metering mode you use!?

So underrated
Cheers bro
I have the a7iii, how do you turn on the green focus/tracking boxes?
It comes when you put ob the Continues AF and the focus spot to Wide, then you should see them!
Fire content
cheers!
dope vid man, still in love with my a7iii
Thanks! Yeah it's actually still one of the best cameras out there!

That's a bummer to hear! 🤯 not sure what it could be about.. I still use the same combo to this day and it works fine :o

I think Sony's ISO handleing is good enough so just push the ISO up if needed 🤝
dope shot man
How do you make the blur background
Shooting at F2.8. Lower the apeture for blurrier bg!
I just shot my first Basketball game, did you shoot in manual, appature priority or sutter priority?
Full manual :)

Hi Kimi just wondering are you shooting on manual or Aperture priority and are you on auto ISO? Thanks from Australia
Hey bro! I'm 98% of the time on full manual everything. The scenes changes so much so need to be able to change the settings quickly to how I like it🫡
Do you leave steady shot on? Especially like you to post the settings on each shot!
yepp always on 😁
Dude I’m buying an A7Iv IM SOO HYPED
Nice!!
This is so helpful! I just got the A7IV and my pics were blurry 😅 My Tamron lense is coming in so I know that will help! Thanks!
cant wait to get my a6400 and get started
It's a great camera! 🔥
How are you shooting 1/320 without getting motion blur?..
magic!
This tamron is the g1 or g2? What is the difference between both?
It's the first one, the newer one has some custom buttons etc. ☺️
Do u use Lightroom or photoshop? Which do you recommend, got my first shoot next week😳
Lightroom bro! So much quicker for bulk editing 🤌🏻 Good luck on your first shoot, it's gonna go great!! Let me know how you did 😎💪🏼
@@KimiElias thank you bro!
@@Agetcashhh so how did it go. I know I’m probably a little late
I enjoyed this video. Not sure how much promotion you did on this but I needed to see this I’m shooting a game today
How did it go?
Do you shoot with a picture profile or just straight raw ?
Raw usually, but noticed on my Sony A7sIII that the pictureprofile from videos stays on.. So the ones shot whit that has the same pp-settings as my videos. But highly suggest shooting pure raw
Does the sony a7lll have 70-300 mm lens
I dont think there is anything like a 70-300mm lens 🤔

I’m curious to know why your iso was at 4,000. I understand your shutter speed needed to be increased but why so much? I’m still learning
It's actually surprisingly dark and often bad lighting inside!
thank you
In theese photo there is also the postproduction?
Yeah the ones you see are not raw pictures :)

Nice man!! Just go for it!! 🙏🏻 Good luck!!
For such an indoor, i was wondering if 70-200 is not too tight .
naa it's not because you colud get some cool shots from the otherside of the court!
i want to use this on wedding candids
kliini!
Jesus love you all✝️❤️
