What are some of your tricks when shooting basketball?
great tips. I shoot a lot of basketball and I wouldn't go under 640th shutter speed. Prefer 1000+ but not many gyms can handle that. Another tip would be to follow the playmakers after the basket or after the play to get reaction shots of them celebrating etc.
I put 2000 and more today . I don't know if there is a difference above 1500. It seemed like
Awesome video packed with a lot of good information. Its awesome to see you again brother and keep them coming.
Thanks for sharing. I've always been disappointed with my shots in basketball venues. I'll try your tips!!
I've been shooting outdoor motocross, and am now venturing into basketball. I came across this video and now have a plan. I appreciate you taking time to put together the tips and lessons that you have. I think the 70-200 and the 1dx2 will handle the task well. Looks like its on me now. Thank You
Appreciate these 💎. First time shooting sports this weekend 😤
Great tips bro. Just starting up with sport photography and this is a great video to help understand positioning etc. Thank you

Thanks for the info. I haven't shot a game as a photographer. I know that some venues require a press pass to get that close. I am still honing my craft, but I would love to shoot different sports.
I do high school sports and have been practicing with that. Have yet to do the big leagues or college games

Awesome video
Saw your video on beyond the game.
What do you do with White Balance? I shot a game recently where all the stands are wood and the lighting wasn’t great so. Images came out orange.
realized that’s braden river and southeast ur at😂 i live right here. what mm lenses you use?
Which lenses/focal length do you recommend for basketball? electronic or mechanical shutter ? and which shutter speed do you prefer?
a 70-200 is enough to get close shoots of the opposite side without croping?
Shooting some shots with a 70-200 and a 1.4 teleconverter might be a way to get more focal lenght with more light than a longer lense
I shot bball today and yes, this is the kind of things that still make full frame camera superior(being able to go higher in iso without obtaining grain)
It depends on whether it's boys or girls. Usually I can get as low as 1/640 for girls and 1/800 for boys on the High School Level. College or Pro I'm at 1/800 at the lowest using Shutter Priority in some situations.
Is that Southeast team in Bradenton, Florida? Think they were just at a tournament I shot.
Hey! I saw that your Instagram link wasn't working on your about page. I wanted to ask your experiences at a combat photographer. I am a senior in highschool, and it's hard to find ex combat photographers out there since there aren't that many. 🙏
What lens do you use?
Great tips! I foud you in #BeyondtheGame!
Hello! I’m a beginner and i’m trying to find a nice lens to begin and I don’t have a big budget. I saw 2 lens that were pretty interesting one was a 45-150mm and the other was a 25mm another was a 14-42mm but I don’t really know wich is better !
i prefer the 45-150... because u can get detail zoom....
How do you fix grain
are you shooting in DC ?
Dude, where you at? Waiting on some new content! 🙂
Working on it!
