This drink reminds me of a Brunswick Sour. It's an old drink I found in a Trader Vic's bartender book. It was 3 oz of white rum, 1 oz of lime juice, and a bit of simple syrup. Add a few ozs of club soda then top with a sweet red wine 🍷.
Hello my favorite bar keep that looks like a day cocktail 😅even with the tequila luv the combination of the ingredients it fits quite well together.. really enjoyed this video David another masterpiece indeed my friend... have a great week.... smiles
Reminded me of a cable car, but probably just because of the cinnamon syrup. Cable car is a riff on the side car. Side car: 3 shots brandy, 2 shots Contreau, 1 shot lemon juice, 1 shot simple. Cable car:3 shots spiced rum, 2 shots Contreau, 1 shot lemon juice, 1 shot cinnamon syrup.
@@boozeontherocks fancy way to do a side car is chilled low-ball glass, sugar the rim instead of using simple syrup, garnish with thin lemon slice or dehydrated citrus and always serve on a big chunk of ice. Both are good but I get a lot of good feed back on the cable car. Suggest trying the side car first a couple times as I wasn't impressed by my first try until I was finished and found it quite moorish.
@@ay99 That is not really surprising that the juice sank based on natural sugar content. Did you find it sweet or did the pomegranate juice give it that little bit of tartness?
equal parts sugar and water 4 oz/120 ml Water 4 oz/120 g Sugar 2 Cinnamon sticks Heat the all of the ingredients until the sugar is dissolved and then let simmer over minimal heat for 2 min. Then let sit for 10 -20 minutes. Remove the cinnamon sticks and pour syrup into a bottle.

Can't wait to try this, very close to a Devil's Margarita!

Sounds like would good a Halloween cocktail cause of the name!
😂
I can understand that for sure.
Ooooh! Very nice! Have a great week.
You too, have a great week.
Could be seen as a riff on the New York Sour as well
That is a good possiblity
I like a lime that is a fighter makes the drink better
IKR🤣
That it does,
I wanted to try it out but just ran out of red wine. 🍷
I'll try it with pomegranate juice until I get more.
Let me know how it turns out.
@boozeontherocks It was really good! The downside is that the pomegranate juice sank to the bottom.
@@ay99 That is not really surprising that the juice sank based on natural sugar content. Did you find it sweet or did the pomegranate juice give it that little bit of tartness?
@boozeontherocks it's sweeter due to it's sugar levels.
how to make the cinnamon syrup??????
equal parts sugar and water
4 oz/120 ml Water
4 oz/120 g Sugar
2 Cinnamon sticks
Heat the all of the ingredients until the sugar is dissolved and then let simmer over minimal heat for 2 min. Then let sit for 10 -20 minutes. Remove the cinnamon sticks and pour syrup into a bottle.
@@boozeontherocks thanks!!!
That was one tough lime! The addition of Cinammon syrup was surprising (and novel)
That lime had it going on!
Blood & sand plus NY sour
That is a good combination.
🍹
Thank you.
En mí opinión, la inspiración viene del New York Sour. Se ve bien para probarlo. Cheers 🥂
Probablemente tengas razón, pero fui directamente a Brambles.
So many things wrong with the prep of this but 👌🏻
I works really well.
Hi, today I’m going to show you a drink that’s not even close to the original. 😅
For Sure :)
Non-uniform crushed ice? Civilian ice?
You got that right Joe :)
Too much ice.
That's fair, would you have used regular ice instead?
You simply left some of the drink in the tin. That means you started with too much ice in the glass.
First!!
Awesome.
Dude, I would have thought this clip be perfect to edit into your video. ruclips.net/user/clipUgkxU4bHuajFtJbVsCEBMXbGSyiHoqF8nXZd?si=yMFW4OD0OjJ2wPmn
You know Matt, That would have been perfect, I did not think about it.
