It obvious box will do heck lot worse when AoE have nothing to hit and minion target spells have only your minions as target (and there are way more minion target damage/removal spell then buff spell)

If you're playing a mage x mage match and during the match not only one but TWO Clear the Way quests are completed, you know that was a unique match.

Blizzard is a small indie dev company, so they don't have the resources to implement turn time extension based on animation length.
They were an even smaller indie dev company when they made Hearthstone, so it's unsurprising that they missed such a small detail like the timer ticking down while not being able to properly play the game due to all the pretty animations.
People should stop blaming them for all of that.

16:50 - To answer the question of what if he played it on the right side minion: since the excess damage doesn't go back into the Rolling Fireball's total, and the doubling effect isn't factored in to how the spell _attempts_ to deal its damage, the distribution would have been: 2 damage to the 3/1 (doubled from 1), 12 damage to the 3/6 (doubled from 6), and 2 damage to the 4/8 (doubled from 1, which was all that the spell had left).

@@grandcrusader2952 If you dont have broad and opp have (meanning you are behind) then those spell could at least clear the opp broad and not your's even if it could heal opp face

1:24 What was the opponent thinking this turn? Did he not read the card? It almost like he played INTO the board clear that he knew was coming. 🤔 Also the fact that in a mage vs. mage game, not only did both get THE SAME hunter sidequest, but both were able to finish it too! This expac is crazy!
I laughed when Trump went "Look at how good the Observer is" after that. The opponent could've just played the Sidekick on the 2 health Thrasher and passed or played a 3+ health minion, and the Observer would have been underwhelming. But no, his opponent played into it as much as humanly possible, so Trump gets to believe the card is super good.
I was thinking, of all the great imprissoned cards, the mage one looked the weakest. By turn 3, the opponent can play around it so hard that it effectively does nothing, and nobody can afford to let the 3/2 hit their face for 3 turns.
The hunter sidequest party could've happened last expansion as well, it involved no new cards.

7:14 - That effect makes minions more vulnerable to spells ( it does not make spells more powerful ). It's like punching a grown up vs punching a baby - same strenght , but different damage.

I'm really skeptical whether dormant minions are any good. It seems they have the same weaknesses as secrets only with dormant cards the opponent knows what he should play around. They also seem exceptionally bad if you don't draw them in the early game

For the low low price of 6 mana, 2 cards, 8/13 of your own minions and healing the opponent for seven you can get a secret and a useless side quest. Always play box when you're ahead
Not picking the rolling fireball just hurts me. You don't need 2 boxes. filling a gap in your mana curve on the other hand, RIGHT before reno--now that you do need.

I might be alone in this but I don't see the appeal in Clown Fiesta games like the last one. It's fun to watch one or two times but play this is much like rolling Dice and watch them.
Ok an idea, what about freeze mage with Kael’thas and Incantor’s Flow.
I wanted to punch the screen when instead of ordering attacks of locusts he just waited for all the animations THEN said "rip my timing" and immediately got punished with conjurers calling lucentbark revival. Shit he really lost the game just because of being distracted and amused by "random XD". What a madman, never change

How does Mo’arg Artificer interact with explosive trap? Like if an explosive runes is in play and you play a minion with mo’arg in the board, would the excess damage hit face? Such as a 2/1 takes 12, then would the damage you take be 5 or 11?
The damage is dealt first then doubled.
So explosive trap deals 1 damage to the 2/1, and 5 damage to the face.
With Mo'arg, now it deals 2 damage to the 2/1 and 5 damage to face. (Since Mo'arg only doubles damage to minions)
highlander mage is stupid good right now, I havn't played since witchwood was fresh off the presses came back for the free deck got highlander mage and made like 4 changes. I'm not playing ladder or anything, but I'm like 13-1 with the deck right now. Most games end the same way where I have a full hand with way too many good plays or ways to end it. I will say 12-2 is maybe a more accurate count as I won one game against a hunter by topdecking alexstraza in order to heal for 14, but i drew shittily for the entire first half of the game so I think variance cancels out

But aren't you supposed to play Yogg/Box from behind? When pre-nerf Yogg was played in Championship, I've never seen anyone play it for tempo or when ahead, almost always as a last ditch Hail Mary.
@@ziggyzaggy8840 They're both best as panic buttons when behind but in certain matchups yogg for tempo on an empty board or puzzle box for tempo when ahead are valid plays imo. With better knowledge of his opponents deck he likely would have realized it was wrong here but the reason it's wrong isn't that it destroyed his board.

I stand by saying that Puzzle Box is a terrible card. You want consistency in Hearthstone, because of the heavy amount of rng that impacts the game. The upsides of Puzzle Box are not worth the horrific downsides. You want to win a majority of the time, and it's why you play specific decks. When you put a card in that may actually negatively impact your win rate, then you are actively worsening your deck. It's why rng cards are almost never played in any top tier deck.
For rng cards to be good, they must only have average to good variance such as the lackeys. The only lackey that negatively impacts your win rate is the "summon a 2 drop" one that might summon doomsayer, or mana wraith. As well as the evolve lackey which may transform a minion into minions similar to prior mentions. There are instances where these are actually good for you even still. Most cards do not innately cause your win rate to go down by playing them, except for rng cards that have the capability of targeting your minions, or your hero with damage spells. Even if there's a consistent upside from playing it, there's always the possibility that it is nothing but a detriment. There is no such way that playing a Yeti can cause detriment to you. Puzzle Box of Yogg'Saron is one of the few cards that can, and because of this, it stands as one of the worst cards that you can put into your deck. A good outcome from this card is not always a net positive to your winrate from this card. It is also too long of a spell that you may not be able to finish out your turn properly.
Regardless of the averages, and whether or not the card is viable to play, it is still a horribly designed card and is in no way healthy for the state of the game. It is thoroughly uninteractive.

Got punished so hard for not clearing the 3/1 even if he couldn't see it he at least knew he had ping and 1 mana spell. You can still hover the minions to see which can die from it.
