    Fantastic to see the legend Brian Jacks
    from my childhood when watching Superstars

    @pantalisyianni8393 Год назад +13

    Amazing. Brian Jacks was (and still is) one of my heros from the 1960s. I got into judo late in life and read everything I could about it. I came across Brian and the things that he did to get on in judo. I related to everything about him: his background; his accent and the way he spoke; and his character. I am so pleased to see him on your video and glad that he is enjoying life. Good luck to you Brian.

    I just rented a nice room in Pratamnak it is 40 meters and it is on the 6th floor with a much better view for, 5,000B. It is equipped with an elevator and has a nice pool. I pay the government rate for electricity which is about half of what most apartments charge. View Dee looks very clean and they supply WIFI too, I have to get my own internet (640B). It isn't what I would call a great deal but it looks like good value. If you are on a budget and want to meet up with other expats it would be a good place to start. If I was brand new to Thailand would consider this place as a spring board.

    For those on a limited budget, this place is ideal and the price is reasonable. What I like about them is they are larger rooms that you can make your own and for myself, there are ground-floor or 1st-floor Thai style. No stairs. If I was coming for a limited time at these prices I don't think you can go wrong. You are only a hop, skip and jump from Pattaya. It even has a pool at this price. No brainer if you ask me.

I’m sure he has been an inspiration and hero to so many Judo-ka (practitioners) so meeting him in person would be a great honour. I noticed in this or your other two videos on View Dee that there were a few restaurants somewhere close. Thanks for sharing Heath, place looks ok, swimming pool looks fine and dandy, and reasonably priced too, I heard Brian say the rooms start from 5500 baht, but I didn't catch what they went up to or what's extra, and the chap you visited had 2 bedrooms, what would the price be for a 1 bedroom with balcony please, kind regards from England 🍺🍺👍

      Hi. There's a bit of a mixed bag when people talk about expats health insurance. Most people I know have a basic cover for accidents (which you get mandatory when opening a Bangkok Bank account.), and then keep a sum n reserve for emergencies. This is down to personal choice of course. Health insurance can be expensive, but everyone has different healthcare requirements. If you stay at View Dee, you can speak with the guys there. Hope this helps.
