Midway through season 2, i felt the series was really slow and was considering to stop watching it for now, but i am so glad i finished the series. One of the greatest series. ABSOLUTE CINEMA
it was a father that created the loop for his son, a mother that kept it going for her son, and it was another mother that helped end it for her daughter. this whole series had a parenthood angle that was consistent throughout - parents in each cycle went to extreme lengths to (try to) save their children. it was the central point that led to their demise/success, depends on how you look at it. Ulrich/Katharina for Mikkel, Hanno/Noah for Charlotte, Martha/Eva for her son, Claudia for Regina and of course the one who started it all, Tannhaus, for Marek, Sonja and Charlotte 💔
I believe Hannah explained a bit how it might feel during the dinner scene. If I remember correctly, she explained it was relaxing and totally peaceful. You have no desires, no obligations, nothing. You just cease to exist and that's the last and most peaceful thing you'll ever feel.
When tears rolled down from Claudia's eyes, i felt utter Satisfaction and at the same time Shattered deep down, knowing that after all they did for each other, and finally they just got turned into invisible sparkle / dust and all their sufferings and joy ended ❤️🎶😌
Elizabeth and Noah are my favorite characters, so this one hits super hard! Noah finding her in shock after what has happened to her - it's a quick scene but so powerful. ❤️🔥
The sad part to me is that, the adult jonas die alone, without alt martha or even with magnus and franziska, working on the time machine or something, he just die alone.... But well Adam suffer a lot more than him, all his burns and had to kill his mother, his love of his life (two times) and kill his best friend (Noah). The strangers was begin to suffer the transformation in Adam and i think, must to be as minimum.... infernal.
As much as Eva wants to continue the loop to keep their son existing, I think deep down she's relieved that she doesn't have to continue reliving everything.
I don't know if there will ever be something like Dark again. But I'm thankful for being allowed to experience this rare masterpiece. However Baran Bo Odar and Jantje Friese (creators of the series) are currently working (writers room) on their next big project 1899 coming to Netflix hopefully late 2021. So looking forward to it. It'll be some kind of a inter-european project mainly in English. In the meantime I'll rebinge (is that even a word?) Dark at least a thousand times. 😊🐧
Potter Pinguin thanks for the heads up I’ll definitely look out for that. I’m currently watching Mr Robot which I heard is very good quality wise but I don’t think I’ll ever find anything quite like Dark ever again.
six feet under from hbo. it is an early 2000s series about dealing with death and how we deal it in life everyday; and living life to the fullest. It has the best ending I have ever seen and has been considered one of the greatest finales of all time. dark has the second best. is not sci fi by any means but it is amazing!
How would you guys describe Stranger Jonas' facial expression/reaction here? I've heard some people say he's confused while others think he looks happy.
He probably understood that the cycle was over somehow so my best guess is that he felt relieved but also "sad" because he knew he would cease to exist.
Many say that Dark should have been more recognised and popular like others in this genre, which is slightly true, but I say that it's good as it is. Let this show remain slightly in the "Dark" (pun intended) , coz this show isn't for everyone, and it doesn't need popularity for it to be a timeless masterpiece.
Tannhaus' love for his son saved him from death. He didn't even know what he did to make this happen... (He "did"or he "would"?!? Time is complicated.)
This series has so many hidden theories and concepts which is not revealed to us and they left those things for us to wonder. And that is why i love watching Mystery Thriller and Time Travel series / movies.
This is what happens when we die. Everything just fades out and nothing else matters. You just wonder what the hell is happening. We all are jokes to the universe.
I love this series. Don't get me wrong. The ending was great. But I really hoped it wouldn't of had a "happy" ending. My vision for the ending was that the loop was never broken and their torment perpetual. Claudia said to Adam "Every journey has a beginning. Yours has no end." That would have been fitting for my idea. Which I honestly thought it might end like that. With something like a recap of scenes with people trying to change things only for the outcome to continue the Neverending cycle. Ending with young, middle, old Jonas/Martha with a look of pain on their faces, wanting and ending to it all, but never getting that desire. Maybe it ended like that in an alternative reality.
Sanchari Chakrabarty yea I understand what you mean, but the world we see her disintegrate in is the parallel world. In the Original world however, she exists ! ☺️

What if dark really happened and the directors Baran bo odar is marek tanhaus because he was the only one who saw Martha and jonas before they ceased to exist
But... Jonas and Martha cannot stop existing, ever. In order to save Tannhaus's family Jonas and Martha must exist because without them, they will always die. If their purpose is to stop Tannhaus's family from dying; they will always exist in order to do that. Maybe they thought they stopped the cycle, but THIS is their cycle, the beginnin of their cycle: trying to prevent their own existence is what makes them come into existence in the first place. If they do not exist, Tannhaus will ALWAYS build the time machine. They do not end the cycle by saving Tannhaus's family, they CREATE IT again because, without them, there will always be a world in which Tannhaus's family dies. THIS is their begining. By preventing their own existence, Jonas and Martha create a world in which they do not stop Tannhaus's family from dying, and thus a world in which their existence is NECESSARY to save them. They are bound to exist, they are bound to try to stop the cycle for it will create a world in which they are born again. They are living in a constant lie in which they think they are finally free, only to be born again in the world Tannhaus's family dies BECAUSE they do not exist. Their story ends in this timeline, but Jonas and Martha are innevitable. And maybe their story will always be the same, like this, in other worlds too. Maybe they will always exist, and maybe they will never be free. Just a theory tho Man this show is deep.
That's true, maybe they created another loop, but it's no big deal if it isn't horrible like the one they were living, and that's what they wanted: no more deaths and pain. All the bad things that happened in the worlds were a cause of the time machine (Charlotte/Elizabeth, Ulrich, Mikkel...), therefore now their worlds still exist but they're normal and are probably no longer different that the original, except for the fact that Jonas and the people "created" by time travel don't exist in the original.
When you realise this whole series is just for Tannhaus to save his family.

Midway through season 2, i felt the series was really slow and was considering to stop watching it for now, but i am so glad i finished the series. One of the greatest series. ABSOLUTE CINEMA
I watched the whole dark series again and I cried at this scene to my heart's content. It broke me or should I say shattered me
After episodes of mind-boggling complexities, this is indeed the best way to end it. I doubt I’d find an amazing tv series like this soon. 😢💔
it was a father that created the loop for his son, a mother that kept it going for her son, and it was another mother that helped end it for her daughter. this whole series had a parenthood angle that was consistent throughout - parents in each cycle went to extreme lengths to (try to) save their children. it was the central point that led to their demise/success, depends on how you look at it. Ulrich/Katharina for Mikkel, Hanno/Noah for Charlotte, Martha/Eva for her son, Claudia for Regina and of course the one who started it all, Tannhaus, for Marek, Sonja and Charlotte 💔
You shouldn't cut the Jonas' last line!
It's such good bettersweet ending!
I wonder, what does disappearing like this feel like
Better than dying.
Nothing
Probably feels like becoming lighter
It’s probably feeling lighter like dosing into a sleep o
I believe Hannah explained a bit how it might feel during the dinner scene. If I remember correctly, she explained it was relaxing and totally peaceful. You have no desires, no obligations, nothing. You just cease to exist and that's the last and most peaceful thing you'll ever feel.
How is it that there's several parts of each season that make me weep in retrospect
I can’t emphasize how much i was touched by this scene, just amazing
Damn it, I cried like a baby when I watched this scene. And I still do, everytime I see it again.
Dark is easily one of the best series in recent times. It is so well written, so beautifully shot and with the most brilliant casting.
The Stranger is the best Jonas ♡
I wish they showed Ulrich in the hospital disappearing. Probably with a sense of relief that he is finally free.
Why am i crying? 🖤
I will never get over this masterpiece... ♾️
If anyone knows any show that comes even close to the quality of Dark please tell me 😭
I don't know if there will ever be something like Dark again.
It has the best ending I have ever seen and has been considered one of the greatest finales of all time. dark has the second best. is not sci fi by any means but it is amazing!
gorilla foot Wow I’ll definitely check that out thanks!
@@LizzaRob160 you're welcome! I hope you like it and tell us how you liked/ or did not like it! :)
When they attain salvation from all this bad fate
I cried in this scene 😭😭
How would you guys describe Stranger Jonas' facial expression/reaction here? I've heard some people say he's confused while others think he looks happy.
He probably understood that the cycle was over somehow so my best guess is that he felt relieved but also "sad" because he knew he would cease to exist.
Agree, relieved, a bit surprised maybe, and a little bit sad of course. But mostly relieved
He looks relieved in my opinion
I dont think there is a correct answer. Its up to interpretation
first astonished, trying to grasp and then happy
I like how they chose this song. Kind of like a nod the movie 12 Monkey's. Brilliant show.
The relief of let everything go
Many say that Dark should have been more recognised and popular like others in this genre, which is slightly true, but I say that it's good as it is. Let this show remain slightly in the "Dark" (pun intended) , coz this show isn't for everyone, and it doesn't need popularity for it to be a timeless masterpiece.
the ending of Dark was really giving off massive Stone Ocean vibes, and even referenced this same song
There will never be a TV show like DARK ever again. Nothing will top this storytelling and ending. It's up there, alone.
I would be very happy if it had more than 5 or 6 seasons .The best series i have ever watched.
But then we couldnt have gotten this ending and the show would have been stretched tooooooo thin..
It’s a triquetra
this deserves more views
The intro told you. "I was just a bad dream" masterpiece in storytelling from this couple.
That line is only in the full song, not the edit the show uses for its intro
This video has no dislikes. It still leaves everyone in awe..
The best series ive ever seen.
This is so beautiful, i have no words
best series ever made with the best ending and i cried a lot
Tannhaus' love for his son saved him from death. He didn't even know what he did to make this happen... (He "did"or he "would"?!? Time is complicated.)
Omg this scene ....a world without winden.
So every teenager in the show ceases to exist
Bartosz,magnus, Franziska,Mikkel,Martha,Jonas,elizabeth
Yeah, pretty much.
And also Silja, Noah, Agnes, Tronte, Ulrich and Charlotte.
Claudia el mejor personaje de una de las mejores series que he visto. Claudia the best character in one of the best series I've ever seen.
Dark is the best show ever.Never believe anything else
What an ending😭
Thank you Adam for ending the cycle of pain.
Phenomenal series..such a bitter sweet ending.
Such a masterpiece
Wonderful combination of a wonderful song and a wonderful series.
what a wonderful show
Am I the only one who remember this moment every time any version of “What a wonderful world” plays?
Words simply cannot describe the greatness of this show. Truly a peace of art.
I love this series.
Don't get me wrong. The ending was great. But I really hoped it wouldn't of had a "happy" ending.
My vision for the ending was that the loop was never broken and their torment perpetual.
Claudia said to Adam "Every journey has a beginning. Yours has no end."
That would have been fitting for my idea.
By the way, every actor's performance was phenomenal. Everyone gave it their all and they all did terrific.
But Claudia would exist in the origin world right?... since we see Regina in the origin world
she does as she is not part of the knot, there is a family picture of her, regina and bernd doppler after this very scene :)
Lyfoks I was confused since they show Claudia disintegrating
Sanchari Chakrabarty yea I understand what you mean, but the world we see her disintegrate in is the parallel world. In the Original world however, she exists ! ☺️
@@liaaldrin7851 they could have done without her disintegration and only shown us adam and eva and their younger selves
@@sancharichakrabarty579 but it is the disintegrating claudia who figured it out and ultimately it is she who was responsible for destroying the "knot" and sufferings due to time travel. her face rightly should be the last one in montage.
all the little details in the show you only get later.. like the burned
picture of adam and eve in the background is foreshadowing their
disappearance.
Finally redemption for Jonas.
I'm not crying, you are crying.
The Unknown spilt screen please :)) on Apocalypse scene.
Yeah. What a scene!
Mr Stark, I don't feel so good
So at the end tannhaus did get what he wanted, so he was the most powerful
All for Regina 💕
I want this song to play when i am dyingggg
Just a theory tho
Man this show is deep.
WRONG. They stopped to exist and the loop is closed now and there is no need to save anyone cause the LOOP IS CLOSED, over.
You are both wrong... and you are both right at the same time
There are no other worlds anymore!
No time travel = no loop = time is linear
That's true, maybe they created another loop, but it's no big deal if it isn't horrible like the one they were living, and that's what they wanted: no more deaths and pain. All the bad things that happened in the worlds were a cause of the time machine (Charlotte/Elizabeth, Ulrich, Mikkel...), therefore now their worlds still exist but they're normal and are probably no longer different that the original, except for the fact that Jonas and the people "created" by time travel don't exist in the original.
