The only possible way Jonas and Noah had to travel back, was the God particle. The time machine died, the passage died. Passage first opens in June 21, 1986, at the same time that Tanhauss from the Origin world activated his machine, then Adult Jonas closes it in November 1986, so later on Jonas can open it with Claudia’s time machine in June 1987, and the passage was completely dead after the apocalypse, so it can reopen again once the circle was complete, and the people in 1954 became the 1986 people, the Unknown trio reappears, makes the accident in June 21 1986, and then the cycle repeats.
Every Time the cycle repeats means a win for Eva since thats her goal. But with the break of both Adam and Eva worlds, means that Adam finally won in the end.
Have a curiosity related to that: Adam's goal is represented in the reality where Martha saves Jonas, and Eva's goal when Bartosz stops Martha when going to save Jonas. Adam sent Martha to save Jonas. If she saves Jonas, both will die, Jonas by a fourth Martha in Eva's World, and Martha by Adam in Adam's world. Both dying represent the goal of both worlds being destroyed. Eva sent Bartosz to stop Martha. If she stops, Jonas hides in the basement, and Martha starts his change to Erit Lux. He didn't win, at least not in the sense that she lost. Claudia found a 3rd option that is different from what either Adam's or Eva's original goals were. There is still life, just not them.
So if i understand this right, everything after 20:33 only happens to the final iteration of Jonas that becomes Adam, as only in this cycle does Claudia know how to end the cycle. All other iterations instead went and killed Eva, but what they did after that, we don't know.
I think Eva mention that after Adam killed Eva, the adult Eva (I guess we can say she's still Martha) walk into the room, sees Adam killed older Eva, got mad, than killed Adam. Seeing Adam killing her older self solidifies her stance that their side is the Light side, ultimately fully transformed her into Eva

I think the most important point is when Jonas stays alive after the apocalypse, goes 32 years in which he tries to activate the portal and succeeds, then he goes through the portal and becomes the Stranger who tries to help himself everything to happen as it happens to him. We all know that then everyone travels until 1888. Then at that time somewhere Jonas (Adam) realizes that he can not help loved ones, can not change anything to happen again and again. As we see he despairs. For 32 years we have not seen what is happening, he cannot return home to his relatives or start the portal. I guess somewhere at this point he becomes Adam and starts to feud with time.
Interesting..Adam was partially right..he was a trigger..he underestimated his love for Martha tho..and her being trigger/loop too for knot..imagine killing love of your life convinced that finally things will change and they don't. Also, Tannhaus was there all along literally telling us he too had been affected by regrets etc...the way they weave the truths, half truths in this show..just amazing
One question, Stranger Jonas is clearly aware that Young Noah is Adam's pawn, he's seen signs of it again and again, in 1921, during the time of Apocalypse etc. All those time he's been with Noah, Jonas knows that all of his actions are on Adam's instructions, then why did he let Noah manipulate him and hand him the letter? He knows that Adam just wants everything to happen again, so in doing what Noah told him to do, i.e. Take Bartosz, Magnus, Franziska with him and take in Agnes and Noah, that would just send him on the path of becoming Adam. Same with reading the letter, why didn't he realize that letter might just be there to manipulate him further. What if Stranger Jonas had just shot Noah and gone in the basement to be safe or somehow get Younger Jonas and Martha somewhere else other than the Kanhwald house, so Adam doesn't kill Martha?
"I always was naiive" -Adam. Also i think Stranger Jonas still considered Noah to be his friend and didn't want to kill him. Only when he became Adam and lost his humanity did he start to killing his old friends and family members.

Not really. One version of Adam actually kills Eva. It is most likely that Claudia passed on to her previous self every new info she had on every cycle which made possible for the last version of old Claudia to gave a loophole to Adam

But the catch is only this is the one and only real loop that happens after tanahaus switches on the time machine. All the previous loops were virtual ( or theoretical) that exist only in the memories of charecters who time travel.
I think that if Jonas' existence is prevented, it results in the Alt-World. But I think it would also result in the switch point scenario where both options happen at once anyway

i think she was afraid of oblivion. Maybe keeping her child alive was the hook at first. But as the imlications of the knot set in her mind, she came to see him as just another pawn in her quest to preserve the knot. Just as Adam came to see his once beloved friends and family as pawns in his quest to destroy the knot.

the children doesnt have healthy relationship with katerina and ulrich. Martha generally argued with her mom. We didnt even see her with her father. So, martha doesnt care them. From Martha's PoV, it's to best option to save her son. It's the only thing that she could live for
Cus the loop existence means you can go back and back and everyone dies if apocalypse yet you go back and there they are again. The loop continues their existence infinitely. Hence erit lux purpose of life. Even if its suffering. Not having a loop means time becomes linear, whats gone is gone. And adam wants everything to finish cus he tried but failed and now believes nothing can change the events and save time anymore. Everyone should die once and for all rather than loop suffering.

Young Noah travelled to 2020 to stay during the apocalypse and gave the letter to strange Jonas there. Strange Jonas read the letter and then he brought it with himself to 1888 where he finally burnt it... then, two years later he received that letter by adult alt Martha.... and repeats again forever...
I still do not fully understand how the Stranger became Adam, since he tried so hard not to become him. Sure, its his destiny, but i do not fully understand his motivations.
He went through so much physical pain his appearance got destroyed when he was trying to make the god's particle to work his whole face got burned due to shocks from the time machine when he was stuck in 1888 so he became kinda merciless and became adam
I think he came up with a plan to end it all (i.e. destroy the origin) but in order to accomplish that he needed to maintain everything else that had happened in the loop in order for him to exist to get the opportunity to destroy the origin.
Alex____ he went throught so much pain he compeltely lost a sense of self. He just wnated to end it all. You can see multiple times throughtout the show that he tries to kill himself. Well that what he is trying to do as Adam. Erasing his own existence therfore killing himself. But his goal wasnt selfish. Hr still wanted to save everyone. By making sure no one who suffers ever existed. But he realized the only way he could achieve that was to maintain the loop so he can kill a version of alt martha in 2053 which of course did not work but he didnt know that.
I think the whole thing for him is just a big suicide mission, he knows he can't kill himself so he perpetuates the loop to be able to make everything disappear ( including himself)
No, it's never explicity explained, so you have to create your own idea. But I think it's because he thought the only way to destroy the knot, was killing martha and their baby in the future, but everything had to be in its position for that to happen, so he started playing chess with everybody using Noah and shit.

the children doesnt have healthy relationship with katerina and ulrich. Martha generally argued with her mom. We didnt even see her with her father. So, martha doesnt care them. Only mikkel is disappeared, she is little bit sad for him but not problem at all if you compare with Martha's only child( from Jonas who loved intensely). From Martha's PoV, it's to best option to save her son. It's the only thing that she could live for
Cus the loop existence means you can go back and back and everyone dies if apocalypse yet you go back and there they are again. The loop continues their existence infinitely. Hence erit lux purpose of life. Even if its suffering.
Not having a loop means time becomes linear, whats gone is gone. And adam wants everything to finish cus he tried but failed and now believes nothing can change the events and save time anymore. Everyone should die once and for all rather than loop suffering.

Why did jonas had to take alt martha with him to origin world? Like he could have just gone there himself and prevent tanhaus’s son’s death bcz martha actually did nothing there tbh she just followed jonas.
My guess is that if he didnt take her, her cycle wouldnt have been broken. She would have had the same fate as the Young Martha with the origin who gets killed by Adam before he is confronted by old Claudia. They both had to be there so that both could have a third alternate ending with a new timeline.

Of ciurse Adam did something, he did a lot of things - manipulate Alt Martha to do his bidding, he made her rescue Jonas who would impregnate her, made her go to 1888 to give his younger self a proto-God Particle and ditch him there so he could become Adam, and then put her he killed her and her unborn child, which is what his wholw plan was, how to destroy everything. Except it didn't work because he misunderstood a huge thing - he didn't realize there were also 2 Alr Marthas created by the same switch point. So then in earlier iterations, he kills Eva, which obviously doesn't do anything as she had already given birth to Unknown when she was young, then a younger (middle) version off Eva kills him, and the cycle repeats. Except when Claudia instead comes to tell him about the Origin World.

Young Noah travelled to 2020 to stay during the apocalypse and gave the letter to strange Jonas there. Strange Jonas read the letter and then he brought it with himself to 1888 where he finally burnt it... then, two years later he received that letter by adult alt Martha.... and repeats again forever...

I still do not fully understand how the Stranger became Adam, since he tried so hard not to become him. Sure, its his destiny, but i do not fully understand his motivations.

He went through so much physical pain his appearance got destroyed when he was trying to make the god's particle to work his whole face got burned due to shocks from the time machine when he was stuck in 1888 so he became kinda merciless and became adam
I think he came up with a plan to end it all (i.e. destroy the origin) but in order to accomplish that he needed to maintain everything else that had happened in the loop in order for him to exist to get the opportunity to destroy the origin.
Alex____ he went throught so much pain he compeltely lost a sense of self. He just wnated to end it all. You can see multiple times throughtout the show that he tries to kill himself. Well that what he is trying to do as Adam. Erasing his own existence therfore killing himself. But his goal wasnt selfish. Hr still wanted to save everyone. By making sure no one who suffers ever existed. But he realized the only way he could achieve that was to maintain the loop so he can kill a version of alt martha in 2053 which of course did not work but he didnt know that.
I think the whole thing for him is just a big suicide mission, he knows he can't kill himself so he perpetuates the loop to be able to make everything disappear ( including himself)

But I think it's because he thought the only way to destroy the knot, was killing martha and their baby in the future, but everything had to be in its position for that to happen, so he started playing chess with everybody using Noah and shit.
