This movie should be the textbook example of how you do a religious movie without pandering or patronizing. It’s incredible how well this movie works for such a wide audience.
sucks if you believe in egyptian gods though
@@Harmonica821 lol yeah
I agree. On both counts 😊
I couldn’t care less about religion, but this movie? I will preach its words and greatness till the day I die ❤
😊😊this movie is very awesome 😊 to again and again the music is very good 😊
This song has such a powerful message that people today NEED to be reminded of.
In addition, more Bible movies with this style and quality animation as well as storytelling.
I agree. It doesn't matter if people see that you're worth it on earth, but how heavenly father, or whoever, sees you
😊😊😊😊
Yes. Don’t follow the world, follow God
@@memecliparchives2254Speaking of which, I wish DreamWorks would try their hand at more 2-D animated movies. Not hating on movies like Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, or How to Train Your Dragon, but I do appreciate 2-D animation; especially when it's top-notch quality like this.
I understand that almost all animated movies that aren't based on TV shows are 3-D now, but I wish they would try to bring back more 2-D films.
When I first saw Jethro, I was like he looks like Santa. He is a good leader and father! This my favorite Dreamworks movie ever!
Santa LOL 😆
lol
And grandfather
To me, he more resembles king Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule from botw.
0:45 me too.
Jethro: Everyone, no matter what, plays a very important part
Seti: ONE WEAK LINK CAN BREAK THE CHAIN OF A MIGHTY DYNASTY
*Aggressive saying*
it’s no wonder why Zipporah and Rameses turned out how they did. They each experienced a very different fatherly relationship.
@@Quinna5537Yep.
They're actually saying the same thing in a different way
Rameses needs to listen to Jethro instead of his father at that point
Truly one of my most favorite song from Prince Of Egypt, it's about one act of kindness can mean a world of difference like Moses help Tzipporah escape Egypt.
My favorite for the whole movie
All of Prince of Egypt's soundtrack is beautifully done! 😍
All of us are so thankful to Stephen Schwartz for writing the songs we've loved from Prince Of Egypt.
@@TheImaginator972 yes he did such a fantastic job 👏
@@XcuddleXbearX11 Yeah, thank goodness he didn't work with Mulan back in 1998 since he left Disney to do DreamWorks for this animated masterpiece. 😁
@@TheImaginator972 oh that's right! 😄
Best soundtrack ever.
This movie was a masterpiece the animation, the voice acting, the music, the art design.
I agree to that.
This is actually my favorite DreamWorks movie, believe it or not. I mean, I like the Shrek movies, (at least 3 out of 4 of them) I like Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, and others, but I do wish DreamWorks would try more 2-D films like this. 1998, and it still holds up.
Dreamworks did such a great job with this movie and with Joseph, King of Dreams; it makes me wish they would create more movies like this. The Bible is filled with so many more stories, and even if you're not religious, they can still be told in an entertaining and engaging way. Beautifully done, wishing and hoping and praying for more masterpieces like this in my lifetime.
they really did, as someone that had to learn the bible since a young age, i was surprised by how well they did them, and actually Joseph was a very pleasent surprise for me, since i didn't know until a year or two this movie existed
As an atheist this movie is in my top 5 favorite movies
Honestly, a Dreamworks version of Noah’s Ark could have worked
bruh every song in this movie makes me burst into tears
SAME
RIGHT
I'm a 53 year old woman and I agree
All of this song is great, but my favorite part is has to be 2:36.
How I think the conversation went between Moses, Zipporah, and Jethro:
Moses, to Jethro: I would take great care of your daughter, give her everything she'd need-
Zipporah, also to Jethro: Moses is probably the only man that will ever offer me his hand, and you know it.
Jethro: ...Works for me! Welcome to the family!!
Thank you for that--that's a good way to imagine it...I thought it was funny watching it in the film because Zipporah's body language looks like she's almost indignant about something in that scene--so your way of imagining it makes it make sense. :)
Now that I'm thinking about it, there's a couple fun options to imagine. Another fun one is that she could be saying, "Listen up, Dad--I'm not marrying anyone else and you can't make me!"
I don’t care if you are Jewish, Christian or Muslim, we are all people of the book, and these words touched my soul as a child, I try to love my fellow man and accept we are all fallible but have the capability to help more than harm
We have nothing if we don't have love1 Corinthians 13 1
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing
They touch the hearts of those that do not live by the book, but by spirit and God as well. They unite us all in the dance of life.
I listened to this song and cried for over 5 mins... Why? I'm sickle celled and it damaged my legs and made me semi-handicapped. I've always thought I was worthless...but then I remembered everything I did for the kids in the school I was teaching @ when I just graduated and was still fine... I put a lot of them on the right path in life trained and coached them in personal lessons even young girls and I never molested or sexually assaulted them... Till tomorrow they talk about how I helped them become what they are today... And then I realised Ive been looking @ my worth through man's eyes when I am worth gold to allot of young people in heaven' eyes 👁️... Thank you God for giving me this life and opportunity... I'm forever grateful!!!
God bless you❤❤ I pray for healing on your body and for God’s love to remind you of how worthy and loved you are!
@@madeinhisimage9277 Thank you so much for your kind words. God bless you as well!!
this song always makes me feel worthy and needed 🥰
Yeah
Whether u r a stone at the mountain top or a stone that formed the base. Still equally worthy
You are!
@@b-chu9747 definitely
Because YOU ARE ❤
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ AMENNN!!!
Ngl this whole song made me rethink life
Same here, it’s so powerful
I’m not religious, but this will always be one of the most magnificent animated films in my 21 years of existence. Despite my lack of belief in the Bible, I love how the prince of Egypt displays the story of Moses in such an accessible and fun way to show its morals. Religious or not, I think it’s an excellent movie for all to watch that showcases human kindness and love.
Yes, as a Christian, I also love the way this movie has been done because it truly shows how it should be regarded. It is not about religion, it is more. Because what Christianity actually means is the fact that God wants a personal relationship with us, to seek Him, get to know Him so that He can show us and teach us about what we couldn't see before. Jesus made a way, in fact He is the way, the truth and the life. Through Him we are saved, by grace through faith. It is not about a perfect performance, because we have a perfect God, the Creator of love Himself. God bless you!
"Learn to join the dance
Look at your life through heaven's eye"
So wise.

This entire movie should be the textbook example to making a film.
One of the best soundtracks out there! Such rich wholesome voices! Still gives me chills
This scene always helps me see my worth as a child of God.
“When all you have is nothing there’s a lot to go around” me and my other 5 roommates working minimum wage jobs to be able to afford a 3 room apartment
Lmao
Nah that’s facts lol. As a college student I can relate 💀
Brian Stokes Mitchell's voice is actual heaven.
Praise Jesus! One flock and one shepherd! My sheep know my voice!
I wish, more than anything, i wish there were more animated movies like this!
Could you imagine if dreamworld made a series? All the way from Genesis to Jesus. Unfortunately this movie only did moderately well at the time, so they decided to only do a direct ti VHS spin off with a lower budget.
@viridianacortes9642 ok, that'd B awesome. I wish they did do that. However, i do love Joseph: King of Dreams. I think it captures the spirit of The Prince of Egypt in terms of character designs, story, and songs.
This song is what I would be jamming to Saturday mornings while eating coco pops. My childhood was splendiferous 🥰
When I first saw the Prince of Egypt I would rewind my vhs back to watch that over and over
Such an underrated movie and this soundtrack in my top 3 🥰
It’s not underrated. It won awards and big hit in the box office
@@dibsports unfortunately it didn’t win the academy award for best score which was absolutely criminal.
@@dibsports At the time of release it was underrated. It was only years after people starting praising it.
I have seen the movie on my birthday when i turned 16 5 years ago absolutely love this movie it tells the story of moses how he delivered the people of isreal from slavery
This movie is very accurate, it's really made from the heart
This is a animated masterpiece
Magnificent songs
Excellent characters
Cool voice cast
Stunning story
This is like a Rocky training montage, except he’s training his personality & self belief.
This is my 2nd favorite song in the Prince of Egypt, and it still holds up.
What's no.1 then mine is when you believe when there set free and begin the journey to the red sea
@@caseykelly6309 yeah. When You Believe is my #1 song of the film.
@@isaackinne1971 it's amazing the just seeing them walk to freedom is so satisfying after all they went through
@@caseykelly6309 agreed
Me too.
"Through Heaven's Eyes" was such a better name than its original name: "Lai lai lai lai lai lai lai lai lai"
Seeing this when I was younger I liked the music. Now as an adult the lyrics really hit you especially if you suffer from depression.
I watched this movie recently yes some things aren’t biblically accurate, but the plagues, and the parting of the Red Sea seen just gives me so much joy and is like yeah that’s the God I serve
this version has its charm, but to me NOTHING can beat the Hebrew version of any song in this movie
That scene where they're talking to Jethro, you see nothing, but the body language is more than enough to convey situation and humor... when they actually made an effort with movies
The stone that sits on the very top of a mountain's mighty face, does it think it's more important than the stones that form the base? That's powerful.
This song is so powerful! Plus Moses with the Gypsy girl are so cute together! ❤😊
I agree that they are cute together, but Zipporah is Madianite. Also "g*psy" is considered a slur, the correct term would be Romani. Be more careful in the future
I can't believe people thought Disney was better than DreamWorks until quite recently when this was the second movie DreamWorks made
Still my favorite movie and one of my favorite songs from this motion picture ❤
I feel like every person should watch this movie even if they don’t believe in god
I am an atheist and this is one of my favorite movies ever it’s so FREAKING GOOD 😭😭😭😭

@@achaidez1547 i think you're right, thanks
I eventually grew up as an adult with no interest in religion but looking this when I was 7 make me think that if you live trying to be a good person for yourself and others is a good thing. I ended up in healthcare 😂
As Moses started getting older I always thought he was looking more like Jesus
Beautiful ❤ I Love it 🙌
This should be made live action
Same score though!!!!
There already is a Live action version: The 10 Commandments.
the last 45-50 seconds are just wow
I want to be buried to this song❤

If you got a problem with the Prince of Egypt, you got a problem with me, an’ I suggest you let that one marinate.
Amazing message in this song.
I love the prince of Egypt movie.
Anyone catch the ring in Moses’ hand when Ziporeah tosses him the staff? Looks like Jethro accepted him as a son and gave him a little authority.
I think that's the ring his brother gave him. He threw away the rest of his bling so to speak, but couldn't bring himself to throw away that.
Yeah, that's the ring his brother gave him. When he's in the desert he gets rid of all his other bling, but can't bring himself to get rid of the ring.
The lyrics to this song 👌
Way better than Exodus: Gods and Kings.
Since they share the same voice actor, now I see ElkTaur (Centaurworld) as Sephora's father 🤣🤣
They should do a sequel for the desert
They did a prequel for Joseph. Though I am afraid that those days of filmmaking are long gone.
My God, i have a crush on zipporah
Amazing movie.
Amen !
I love this movie :3
All I want is this to be added on Apple Music 😩😩😩

Matthew 13:18-23 18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. 19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. 22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. 23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
I feel like this song is very multi layered I believe that Jethro is also saying that it doesn't matter what skin type you are or what tribe etc everyone matters and in Moses's case I feel like this song was Jethro's way of saying that Moses is family now 😅 I don't know if I'm right or not I guess that the only way to know is if the composer's of the song tells us the full meaning and all the hidden messages that are there or if it is actually just a song to remind you that we all have a part to play in our lives even if we don't know what on earth it is... God has a plan and a purpose for all of us😅
Praise be to God 😂
Awesome
so lovey man
Im so glad egypt and isreal are allies today
What ever he says happens in the movie
I love this movie Disney or whoever made this movie missed a great opportunity for continuing movies in this style yes they did the technicolor dream coat it was good but lacked that je ne sais quoi
That prince of Egypt has😅
i want to have a prophet in my life
One of the most important songs in the movie. Psh maybe at all

Have you checked Netflix?

2:42 a wedding
Moses is a lucky guy to have a wife as beautiful as Zipporah
Who are they? Someone please explain
It’s based off of the Biblical story of Moses leading the Isrealites (that’s what they called Israelis back then) from their slavery in Egypt to the promised land. If you wanna look more into it, the story is found in the book of Exodus in the Bible.
They were the Midianites, i forgot who were they ancestor, if you want to know you can read the Holy Bible
