I pray that Kim finds her way to real happiness, self belief and peace. Both Kim and her loved ones have had it rough, to lose so many of her close family whilst her coping strategies are so harmful must be devastating. It is nice to hear that Em supported her and made sure she has a home, it shows what kind of a guy he really is behind the glitz of stardom.

I just discovered that he also adopted Kim's daughter from another man because he too was addicted to drugs and couldn't parent her. I've never been a fan of Ems music but I greatly respect him for what he's done in the lives of two children who are not biologically his. I agree with you that it doesn't speak to his demonstrated behavior that he wouldn't also help his sister-in-law if she were truly doing everything possible on her end to come off drugs. Sadly, what many addicts describe as financial "help" is family members supporting their comfortable lifestyle while making it easier for them to purchase drugs. Throwing millions at her in that case would have surely led to her death more rapidly. 💔

My aunt developed psychosis from years of drugs.. unfortunately she died of kidney failure. Her demanor reminds me of my aunt. She was very polite but she would do drugs and turn into a demon. People didn’t want her in their house.. super sad.
Sorry about that experience for you. I have a cousin who has gone through drug induced mental illness. It's difficult, sad, and scary to watch.
I'll never understand parents who choose drugs over their kids. I was a heroin, fentanyl and crack addict for many years until 2019 when I went to jail. I found out I was pregnant when I got there and today is actually my son's 4th birthday!! (12/13/23) and I have 4.5 years sober ❤
How can you say you were an addict and then not understand how addicts choose drugs over their kids? I know many addicts and was one ( alcohol ) before I had kids. I understand completely what addiction is and how far people will go to get their fix. I dont understand how you dont understand, unless you are not speaking the truth.

She’s saying now that she has seen BOTH sides of the coin, she can’t comprehend it. How is that mind boggling for you? Pretty straight forward….
I think many people forget Kim came from a broken childhood, being turned out by her parents it’s easy to see why she felt turned out by Marshall even if that wasn’t Eminem’s intention, she was psychologically damaged by the trauma she’d faced in her upbringing.

Absolutely. I'm in recovery myself and a substance abuse counselor. The sister blaming Eminem and Kim was just her being stuck in her addiction and not wanting to take accountability and wanting Eminem to dish out money.

It seems like Em and Kim have always been drawn to each other and will always have some form of love for each other, but just never could be in sync. They never really were in a good place emotionally/psychologically at the same time - they both struggled to cope with the effects of his overnight rise to fame and took actions that made each other feel insecure, both have been overwhelmed with grief at the loss of friends/family, both have dealt addiction and substance abuse issues and legal troubles, etc.
A major difference , IMO, was that Em had his passion for rap/hip-hop that gave him a creative therapeutic outlet. And he had a network of friends/colleagues around him who had truly cared for him for years and years, and wanted to support him in staying sober after his overdose. In turn, as he thrived more and more in his sobriety, he inspired and supported others around him in becoming sober (Royce, Mr. Porter).
Admittedly, I’m a bit of a Stan. But part of what got me there was admiration of Em’s growth as a person - admitting to his f-ups and how he was a bad husband, trying to be a good father figure despite never having a good parental figure, financially supporting Kim, etc. He looks really healthy and happy these days. Hopefully that continues on for many years to come, and hopefully Kim can achieve the same.

I watched a heartbreaking documentary about eminem’s life & it hit me hard. It stayed with me for days because the amount of trauma, hard upbringing, very lil resources.. it’s a miracle he is what he is today. Their relationship was very volatile, but he did love her.

Childhood trauma can affect adulthood like this...stunted emotional growth, leaving the adult unable to function with the maze of natural emotions.
I feel as fans we grew up with Em and Kim. You get to a certain point in your life where you get older and you accept your mistakes and flaws, and take accountability. It's nice to hear Em still cares for Kim, and they can still coexist for the sake of their children.
Man, it’s hard looking into their lives. I’d imagine if I was their kid I’d be depressed for a long part of my life because I’m just there. In between drama, born into it. Both Eminem and Kim messed up badly. But you know what? That’s the past now and I really do hope that Kim is alright and dropped the drugs. She gotta live for herself and her kids, and if she has God, then especially God too.

I don't see a lot of people talking about Eminem being at fault. Sure he got famous and made money because he cared about his family, but he also became a person whose actions affected Kim. He lacked self-control and his ego was through the roof like already stated that it ruined their relationship. It's easy to say you always cared about someone and love them when you have everything and not talk about everything else, and people buy it. Just an observation.

Valid points. The relationship was clearly toxic on both ends. I'm just overjoyed in learning that Em felt a parenting responsibility towards all the children, even those who were not biologically his. That is likely because of his own dysfunctional childhood. I give him much respect for that. Still, Em seems to have contributed mutually to the dysfunction in the relationship, which in turn influenced many of Kim's self-destructive choices. I hope she is OK and able to stay off drugs permanently.

I love Em, he's a great father but I have to admit, he was not a great husband. I'm glad you mentioned Bad Husband, which is honestly one of my favourite songs on Revival. They really were probably never meant to be and they certainly should never have got married the second time.
There's a difference between helping and enabling someone. For Kim to have cut her off, I'm sure help was given many times prior to that. Sometimes for your own health, you have to let people go and hope they will help themselves one day. Kim and Marshall were together very young and many relationships from youth don't work out. Especially with the turmoil they have been through. You can still someone without being in love with them.
Kim is always was an incredibly strong and beautiful girl. Marshall put her through absolute hell- abusing her and publicly humiliating her to the point of suicide attempts.
She never wanted to be famous and hated the attention. All she wanted was a secure family life.
I really respect her for her resilience and fortitude.

Ems a great man for supporting her through rehab he’s been sober 15 years now & raising not just Hailie but adopting kims kid with another man Stevie, adopting Kims sisters kid Alaina & adopting his lil bro Nathan they’ve done a good job the kids all turned out really well should look up Hailied podcast.

She was a low class girl with mental health and addiction issues... Eminem was the same but eventually got his shit together... but he had millions of dollars to help him do it.

Kim is a reflection of all of us who have struggled with addiction or depression I myself took pills after losing my mother and thought of suicide however it was the love of my children that stopped my selfishness and the music of Eminem recovery helped me through the darkness. Toxic relationships happen everyday I'm a domestic violence survivor and stronger for it . I don't think she gets enough credit for how much she's influenced not just Marshall but her daughters and other women as for Em I believe there are women who would love him for himself not his money I could be wrong but I am not a materialistic person I've never had money and don't want to it seems to make everyone who has it miserable

You sound crazy. Eminem is the way he is because of who he is as a person. He’s never been able to have a stable relationship with anyone and it’s not Kim’s fault. They both had a rough life and he was awful to her their entire relationship due to his self loathing and lack of accountability for his own issues. He needs to get help for himself, he made a career of blaming everyone else for his problems. As an adult I listen to his music and I don’t feel bad for him. He’s not a victim as much as he saw himself as one. He hurt people as much as he was hurt. I wish them both peace.

She has admitted to abusing Em herself already so you don’t need to lie & their family & friends have confirmed she used to beat him & spit in his face. Cause he’s a man you don’t acknowledge he’s a DV victim too. Parental abuse makes can make you vulnerable to abusive relationships which he know he went through. He broke the cycle of abusive leaving Kim over a decade ago, he’s been clean 15 years now & was great dad raising Hailie & adopted Kim’s child Whitney she had cheating with another man & adopted Kim’s sisters kid Alaina after she died from an overdose & adopted his lil bro Nathan when social care took him from their abusive mum Debbie. They’ve all turned out really well you should see how much respect & love they have for their mum & dad on hailies podcast.
