I honestly think Elden Beast would've been better received if it was like the Moon Presence where it's a hidden boss where you have to go out of your way to fight it
100% same. idk if I mentioned it in this video but I know in at least one I did say something about how Elden Beast would be a great secret ending boss
Small but fast weapons like dagger, claws, fists, etc... Were designed to be buffed using grease. The fact is most weapons do ewual dmg to a boss during an attack opportunity. If your greatsword deals 270dmg a hit and you can hit once in an opportunity and a dagger does only 90 dmg a hit but can hit 3 times then the overall dmg per window of opportunity is the same. However, the fact that dagger hits 3 times means when buffer it lands the extra dmg 3 times instead of just once like a greatsword. Grease buffs gove a flat dmg bonus do no matter your AR or weapon size the best way to benefit from them is by using fast weapons. Claws and fists are especially great at this because not only do they attack fast but you can 2 hand and use only 1 grease to buff both hands. Daggers are also good because they are likely to hit many times in a given attack window. And of course dual medium weapons such as duel simitars are also good. Fighting a boss with a small weapon like a dagger without grease buff is not what you usually do. Check what the boss is weak against, get that grease and rip the boss to shreds with a simple dagger.
Looking forward to this as I've just finished a daggers only run of DS 1-3 and Elden Ring is next on the list. Though I'll definitely be doing dagger class not just a dagger as that sounds a lot harder... Except in DS2 where the dagger carried me through like 80% of the game as that game has no good daggers till you kill the giant lord for some reason.
this might be a know it all thing, but ive figured out a way to consistently dodge the hold attacks. especially the morgott and margit ones. so he holds it up and you dont dodge til his arm goes back. cause just before most enemies swing their hold attacks they shift their bodies back

@@DoomWolfOfficial no the bridge below stomgate with the (at night knights cavalry) but I forgot it's you can't kill them because you didn't have a dagger
blue dancer charm would have probably helped a little, and maybe adding quality to it for solid strength and dexterity boosts, then the potion to boost those, and then either crit boost talisman or the 2 talismans to further boost your stats, then godricks great rune, and determination/royal knights resolve for even more damage, screw health, just dodge :D
I wish I had built for the dagger, i was still trying to make it challenging so I feel like I didn't play to its strengths at all (where as in the twin blade video I did)
If you need Millicent’s prosthesis you can kill her in windmill village and it gives the hand to you, and it’s the exact same one as at the end of the quest line.
My thought process was that it would be weaker, and therefore a bigger challenge, but in hindsight two handing might have slowed the attack speed down and therefore been more challenging, not sure lol

agreed, I was so surprised by how strong daggers (or in my case, dagger lol) are. I loved the speed, normally I just unga bunga my way through these games so it was a very nice change of pace haha
This is literally "Death By A Thousand Cuts."
and it was a glorious death! lol
ur so good at this game thats mad impressive!
Thanks! I just spend way too much time playing it lol
I honestly think Elden Beast would've been better received if it was like the Moon Presence where it's a hidden boss where you have to go out of your way to fight it
100% same. idk if I mentioned it in this video but I know in at least one I did say something about how Elden Beast would be a great secret ending boss
found this by accident and honestly had a blast :D
I'm glad you liked it :)
You remind me a lot of The Backlogs, one of my favorite Souls Tubers.
Hey thanks! The Backlogs is one of the channels that inspired me to make content so this is a huge compliment to me :)
Your commentary is pure gold lol
Glad you enjoyed it my friend :)
alternate title:
"Can you beat Elden ring as a brit?"
I grow increasingly worried about British people the more people comment like this lol
Literally fell the pain through screen
haha thanks for understanding
Good stuff! You gained a new sub.
Thanks Mr. Clean, glad I could entertain :)
Love your content its really nice keep the good stuff
Thanks! I'll do my best to keep improving with every video :)
That Moongrum clip was oh so satisfying
RIGHT! sometimes all the stars align lol
You should try including one of the astel fights in your challenge runs! I'd love to see it
I actually have recently started doing all remembrances, so you will see him in the newer videos :)
Check what the boss is weak against, get that grease and rip the boss to shreds with a simple dagger.
or...get a simple dagger, and lose all your sanity and rip the boss to shreds! lol
but great summery!
At the 0:05 I legit thought he was going to say hello everyone this is YOUR daily dose of internet
why does this sound familiar but I can't place it? lol
I am pretty sure that the birds in farum azula are harder then gidion
The definitely feel like that sometimes lol
The answer is always yes but I love watching the creativity behind how
lol, glad you enjoy the creativity :P
doom wolf is my one and only true love
haha, thanks
Nice Video !:)
Thanks! Glad you liked it :)
Looking forward to this as I've just finished a daggers only run of DS 1-3 and Elden Ring is next on the list. Though I'll definitely be doing dagger class not just a dagger as that sounds a lot harder... Except in DS2 where the dagger carried me through like 80% of the game as that game has no good daggers till you kill the giant lord for some reason.
no good daggers until giant lord you say, I smell a challenge run... jk lol
2:18 perfect Oblivion pain noise
time to start my voice actor career lmao
I think a beastial incantations run would be fun.
I do too! It's in my notes haha
@@DoomWolfOfficial all the spells do physical damage too
Godrick when you normally win - dead
Godrick in this fight - “Fuck, shit, FINE! JUST TAKE THE FUCKING GREAT RUNE ALREADY”
Lmao, imagine being the king of a castle and a demigod, and just being annoyed to death
this might be a know it all thing, but ive figured out a way to consistently dodge the hold attacks. especially the morgott and margit ones. so he holds it up and you dont dodge til his arm goes back. cause just before most enemies swing their hold attacks they shift their bodies back
nice, good tip! I've just fought them so many times at this point I'm better with the timing and do it off that haha
Finally a new video
lmao I'm sorry! These videos take a while to make, but this one was right on my every two week schedule! :)
Nah it’s okay I meant it like: wohooo finally a new video!:) but please don’t stop making videos it’s so cozy to lay down in bed and watch your challenge runs with some snacks!
i would have to say i personally enjoyed fist build over dagger build but if you do a very light weapon run you should get blue dancer talisman
I also enjoyed fist weapons! Would like to revisit them in the future, as for the blue dancer, i thought about it especially because I was already running practically no armor, but I just decided not to for not real reason, maybe thought it would make the run too easy ;) lol
The predator theme got me, lol
AMAZING MAN LIKE ALWAYS 😍😍❤❤❤❤👌👌👍👍👍👍
Thanks, i'm glad you liked it!
How about the D&D challange run. Whats that you ask?....well, instead of all the shard bearers you go for ALL the Dungeons & Dragons in the game ^^
ya know, this is actually a nifty idea, I'm sure there is a wealth of jokes to be made in such a run!
@@DoomWolfOfficial Why do paladins wear chainmail?
Because it’s holey armor.....what do you call a mountain top guarded by thiefs? a sneak peak
Excuse me while is steal these ABSOLUTE GOLD jokes lol
3:07 Dude you have no idea how much pure JOY this gave me, nothing could make me feel better than seeing that bastard play himself like this LMFAO
tell me about it, he does it practically everytime I don't fight him and run by, and it feels good everytime lol
I have 70 hours in this game with a full build and everything and I still haven’t beat it and you’re over here with a poky boi beating it :,)
haha hope you're enjoying the game though! The dagger is actually a pretty strong weapon all things considered!
Doom has taught us that is is not size that matters but how you use it
this is true, words to live by lol
"Sorry, but this is the smallest knife I've got." - Dracule Mihawk
I'm going to mod the knife to be the size of like...a needle, just to make this joke next time
Elden Ring: London edition
Is London okay D:
@@DoomWolfOfficial it's not guns so I'd say it's fine
dual wield dagger moveset feels so satisfying
I never did try it but I imagine it is amazing! I kept to just one because I was hoping it would be more of a challenge haha
Before the bridge with the horse dude on it just before there's 2 (I call them husks)with daggers you can get to drop and it only just occurred to me you cant kill them lol
Are you talking about the long bridge in Caelid that has bloodhound step?
@@DoomWolfOfficial no the bridge below stomgate with the (at night knights cavalry) but I forgot it's you can't kill them because you didn't have a dagger
Bichus cutus lmao I can hear you saying that everytime you do a slash or stab lmao
Everyone knows the spell is more powerful if you scream it every time you cast ;)
[watches first few seconds]
I see you've played knifey blade before!
My first response to that was just: *roberto noises* lol
Knife crime in the Lands Between is out of control because of this mad lad.
Only if you have many runes...wait that doesn't help the situation lol
blue dancer charm would have probably helped a little, and maybe adding quality to it for solid strength and dexterity boosts, then the potion to boost those, and then either crit boost talisman or the 2 talismans to further boost your stats, then godricks great rune, and determination/royal knights resolve for even more damage, screw health, just dodge :D
I wish I had built for the dagger, i was still trying to make it challenging so I feel like I didn't play to its strengths at all (where as in the twin blade video I did)
Another banger 🫡🤣
Thanks, glad you liked it :)
If you need Millicent’s prosthesis you can kill her in windmill village and it gives the hand to you, and it’s the exact same one as at the end of the quest line.
True...but that would mean killing Millicent and I can't do that D:
@@DoomWolfOfficial yeah, I didn’t do it either because I didn’t want to commit two cardinal sins. I just wanted to make sure you knew.
Doom Wolf: "Not a word."
Me: "Word."
well, ya got me there lol
"Don't you dare go hollow."
Well, after seing how easily you handled Malenia's waterfowl dance, it might be too late for me.
tbf, assuming it was successful (this is a long time ago idr if I died to her waterfowl here or not lol), I usually just run away from it
you didn't 2 hand it in the whole run... amazing
My thought process was that it would be weaker, and therefore a bigger challenge, but in hindsight two handing might have slowed the attack speed down and therefore been more challenging, not sure lol
intro made me immediately like
My favorite part of making the videos is coming up with the intro gag lol
Great content keep up the hard work
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it :)
You had me at the Futurama reference.
Bender voice: "shut up baby I know it"
dude i can never tell when ur being sarcastic and i love it
that's my secret hug, I'm always sarcastic lol
You can get both the rotten winged sword insignia and Milicent's prosthesis by completing the aid sign and then killing her before she gives you the needle.
That is true! ...but that involves killing Millicent D:
@@DoomWolfOfficial True, don't wanna kill best girl.
