So legitimately Astels grab is as close to an instant kill move as can be in this game. I think you need 99 vig and morgotts rune to survive with like 100 health or something
I remember someone once telling me it was a one hit kill, but I have survived it before, not at 99 vigor (never went that high lol), so I don't know. maybe it got changed at some point
Placidusax is the only enemy in the game capable of dealing more damage than Astel's grab. Of course, as always, the armor you're wearing usually matters more than your vigor stat. Within reason. you're not surviving much with 10 vigor.
Interesting video idea. Some weapons/weapon classes get ignored by players since better alternatives exist, and by challenge runners since it might be too easy. Its an to see the perspective of the forgotten weapons.

The antspur rapier is one of my favorite in game weapons, would be cool doing a count dooku or musketeer type build with it. In fact I might make a dooku build myself because it sounds fun haha. Use the blood blade to make the antspur rapiers blade red lol
Dual rapiers are nonsensically overpowered. You can get the stats for antspur and frozen needle at like, level 11. And never need to put a single point into anything but vigor and endurance from there. That's just how much damage they do. Things don't usually live long enough for the debuffs to proc. It's insanity.
Here's a tip for bell bearing hunters/elemer of the briar: All you have to do is get behind them and trigger their incredibly easy to dodge shield slam attack, dodge through it to get back behind them, attack once or twice and wait. If you do it right you can kinda get them stuck in a loop where they just keep doing the shield slam or backslash combo, which is also easy to avoid and pretty much none of their telekinetic attacks.
I’ve seen a lot of people do this, but I always get unlucky and he does the shield explosion. I still haven’t figured out what I’m doing differently that triggers that
@@refinedorc2870 That IS weird, in my experience it happens maybe once every 20 times. Do you dodge attack after dodging the slam? cause if you do the AI might be animation reading you and following up, i always dodge, take a few steps to reposition, then neutral r1 and it usually works.
Fun Fact: I mained the TwinBlade(i love them all) in my first run and only learned waaaay afterwards when watching a challenge run that Rennala can summon spirits because like this run-it never happened and she died either too fast or got into a loop, I am unsure

Your skills are marvelous. Let's try this for a run. Defeat at least 100 bosses with 100 different weapons. I think there is more than 250 weapons but am not sure. Better than my no heal suggestion though.
tbf that's why I tried to rebrand this series as the 'ordinary weapon' because they aren't a challenge in the traditional since but it's fun to take a basic weapon and try to make it op haha
Are you limiting yourself to no stat boosting gear? Using both dex talismans or using radagon scarseal and the dex talisman Millicent gives you at the beginning would give you enough to wield this twinblade
@@Mayortortimer420 yeah RL1 is pretty limited if you don’t stat boost, but it’s crazy what you can use without even leveling up. GamersWeekend RL1 run used Rivers of Blood a lot Pre-Nerf
I completely forgot about that one, I wonder if that's better though because I'd have to lose one of the other talismans (with that in mind though NG+ I could also grab the rotten winged sword insignia, which can be put over the normal one so, even more!)
I found it useless for twinblades. They have 7 hits in combo, and there is only a few enemies that you can free hit 7 times just to get 20% more dmg from a last hit.
I beat Loretta with my mage last week on my very first try. And I thought all those ppl who tell me how easy she is were just joking. But to be fair, I was around lv 150 because I explored almost every nook and cranny on the entire map before heading towards the Halligtree. Moonveil almost cut her in half

Yeah, I didn't want it to be a cosplay runs instead just a showcase of the actual weapon. Had I went cosplay that would have been the play and it would have been insane haha
Can you do a video using the knight's greatsword since it has a cool moveset when two handed. I believe the inseperable and the banished gs also has that moveset. You could perhaps cosplay as Joachim Meyer, as the guard transitions along with a cut-centric focus could go along well :D
not that it really matters, but the 1 handed running and backstep, 2-handed backstep and duel-weild running attacks are all pokes, which is why it has piercing damage type listed. the m ore you know, am I right? great run!

The problem is they play against bosses that are over level without realizing. I started playing Elden Ring last week and I'm almost passing the game (that won't happen yet, so much to discover tho) I'm in level 117 Knight Build.
By "almost passing the game" do you mean finishing it? I think my first character finished the game around 140, all of my challenge run characters (except one) have been sub 100 because I jsut ignore everything. It the bosses lol

The normal Twinblades are always good fun, but personaly I prefer the look of the Godskin Peeler or the Gargoyle Twinblade.
I also like the godskin peeler but I was just trying to keep to the basic twinblade :)

Yeah, I didn't want it to be a cosplay runs instead just a showcase of the actual weapon. Had I went cosplay that would have been the play and it would have been insane haha
Can you do a video using the knight's greatsword since it has a cool moveset when two handed. I believe the inseperable and the banished gs also has that moveset. You could perhaps cosplay as Joachim Meyer, as the guard transitions along with a cut-centric focus could go along well :D

not that it really matters, but the 1 handed running and backstep, 2-handed backstep and duel-weild running attacks are all pokes, which is why it has piercing damage type listed. the m ore you know, am I right?

i only found the normal twinblades on ng+5, I just never looked over where you find it lol

Well...yeah, if it was a themed Darth Maul run, but I just wanted to showcase the basic twinblade and not change it's damage type haha (I just couldn't think of any other famous twinblade users in popular media)
I am trying out eleonora's poleblade, and what I found is that it either deletes health bars really fast, or you die from some bs combo.
Tbf I feel like most weapons have the "or you die from some BS combo" part attached to them lol, but yes Eleonoras poleblade deletes enemies, it's great!

Only death birb has been an exception, that guy is annoying (and seemed immune to bleed)
The problem is they play against bosses that are over level without realizing. I started playing Elden Ring last week and I'm almost passing the game (that won't happen yet, so much to discover tho) I'm in level 117 Knight Build.
By "almost passing the game" do you mean finishing it? I think my first character finished the game around 140, all of my challenge run characters (except one) have been sub 100 because I jsut ignore everything. It the bosses lol

imagine doing the run a few days later so the weapon got buffed
