The cup ramen actually is a little concerning, since it means homeless people have possibly been squatting there. Nothing inherently dangerous about that, but you never know how people will react.

To me the scarier thing about abandoned places like this isn't the idea of ghosts or something supernatural. It's the building falling on me, or a wild animal, or secretly uncovering criminal activity and being held captive.

I love how much my eyes get opened to how common abandoned buildings are in Japan. Joey went to an abandoned school in like mint condition and it was so sad to see. Like so many people just moved to the cities and left rural areas

If anything, this shows how much Chris trusts Connor. Whether that be because Connor is way more willing to try new things the other boys won't, or that Connor is very naïve and trusts Chris will take him somewhere nice, and Chris (the devilish sadist wolf in sheep's clothing he is,) takes advantage of it. Either way, this is why they are the best duo.
Doubt Connor is naive,They're best buds basically they just trust each other to have each other's back wherever they be it a good or a shitty place, it's funny even as of the moment I'm writing Chris just uploaded a small clip of them going again together filming at new places.
Joey and Chris flew over an active volcano, which erupted a week later. It wa Chris' Idea but he was more scared in the end, I guess he wants someone who is as scared as him

@@ZebraGER Not sure how it's handled in japan, but taking things from an abandoned building, at least in places like the US and Canada generally leads to theft charges if you're caught. Plus there are the charges for breaking and entering, although it seems Japan is a bit more lax on letting people explore ruins, so who knows.

What I'm most amazed with those abandoned locales is that they haven't been completely robbed and scrapped through all those years. Guess Japan doesn't have a "recycler" profession.

I like how while Connor and Chris are arguing about regret, deceit and ruined friendships along the mushy terrain, Natsuki is almost inside the hotel.
Natsuki casually sitting in the back of the car with a wrench on his head was what finally did me in. I lost my breath after laughing so hard.

Honestly, this is some of the most cool foreign things, that you don't instantly think of, when you think "Japan".
The whole fact that this stuff is so prevalent, that haikyo is an actual term for it, is so interesting. Where I grew up there were plenty of businesses that had gone out of business, old factories that closed up and all that, but you'd never have a big structure like this, just up and empty. There'd always be someone owning the property who tore all that stuff down or used it in other ways, but in Japan it just looks like they were legit abandoned and no one is around.

The footprints in the first room looked very fresh. But the music for the abandoned hotel was very on-point especially at the end with the drums, very unsettling.
