Yeah, it doesn't mean Yen and Geralt were literally in Cyberpunk's world or something (it could, but that's not the point). I feel like years ago, mainly when I watched Batman: Arkham's easter eggs, people were generally more accepting of the fact that an easter egg is sometimes just an easter egg, someting put in the game by the devs for the players to notice and think "O, a reference, nice". But nowadays I see that people tend to overanalyse every detail, reach for unimaginable conclusions just because they want something more to be true, and are unable to enjoy a neat little easter egg.

I don't think there is a very deep meaning behind it. In the Witcher there is also a cyberpunk reference. Where ciri mentions she traveled to a place where the people have metal in their head (or something like that, it's been a while since I've played) kind of vague but just enough to get the reference, and I think this is just the same but for the Witcher. But if you really want to speculate about how the ashes got there; I would rather think that Yen died somehow and left Gerald that letter. Since they live in a kind of medieval period and Gerald of course is aware of Ciri's powers, maybe he asked her to travel trough space and time to find a way to bring yen's ashes to the moon, since he couldn't do it himself?

I loved those little references in TW3 and a nice touch to see some of them in CP2077 as well. I think theorizing about things is fine especially given Ciri can jump through time and space, but at the end of the day its probably only a refference. Or maybe Ciri went to the universe of harry potter and took the goblet of fire from there. Who knows :D

For clarity, you do not have to get detained in order to reach this room. I found this last night w/o getting detained by exploring the first large room down the path to the Tycho Terminal. I think I had to pass a Tech Ability check of 20 to enter a door that lead to this hallway/room

A potential crossover could go like this: Decades after the events of the Witcher Games Yennefer has become old and ill. Gerald still being reasonably fit but still being pretty old asks her now famous witcher daughter ciri to help save Yennefer. She remembers this world and they set out to find a cure for Yen. Whether ot not they succeed with intially doesn't really matter because eventually Yen dies of old age. V, even with our knowledge, would never be able to identify Gerald because this world has full body prosthetic technology. For all we know the Gerald of Night City could be looking like anyone. If this were to become canon it would need the blessing of the creators of both worlds! Which is unlikely. Also CDPR didn't even do a quests just with ciri which would not be that impactful on both canons like this would be. So it seems unlikely that there will ever be more than just this little easter egg.
Technically the Sorceress' immortality is achieved through the regular consumption of a specific potion that stops the ageing process ? It would make sense that should they have somehow found themselves in Night City, Yennefer would've been unable to acquire the ingredients and thus she would've eventually died of natural causes, albeit, at a much slower rate than a normal human probably.
That's a great catch. I was never captured so I didn't come across that. I wouldn't read too much into it, it's just CDPR paying a small homage to the book franchise that made a huge name for themselves. The how/why is irrelevant, they really both died at the end of the series, were on a different world, etc. It's just a fun easter egg that if you found it, you found it. Why Yennefer would even want her ashes spread on the moon, why that box would be there, etc, just part of the easter egg.
I do think it is more likely that it was Ciri that took the urn there as she is the only one that can travel through dimensions. Also wondering whether the flowers on the urn were lilacs...
On the subject of secrets, I just found one that idk if you’ve mentioned before. In White Orchard, there’s a place of power North-East of the Sawmill marker. If you go there (I’m assuming AFTER you do Isle of Mists) you can find four of the dwarfs from that mission, including Gaspard, standing around it and checking it out. Idk why they’re here, but it’s a weird little Easter egg. Might also be dependant on getting the Witcheress ending and not ratting the dwarves out to the soldiers.

Dude just imagine geralt being in cyberpunk i mean the guy has actual magic, mutated body and all no chrome needed he could kill anyone i feel like, but then again if blood and wine dlc is anything to relate to then i think even if this is actually him not just easter egg, then he would have hung up the mantle long ago, and since the only monster like things in this universe are people with cyberpsychosis then i think his code or simply his morals wouldnt allow to raise a sword, or i guess meddle in such affairs
it would be a nice place to retire to though. plumbing. good food. hot and cold houses with the push of a button. clothes washers and dryers. cheap booze even more potent than pepper vodka. just have Ciri lug a ton of gold bars along for the ride and Geralt would be set for life.

A witcher sword found in a high end condo in a display case or sth would have been way cooler
It's a nice but bittersweet reference.
A potential crossover could go like this:
Decades after the events of the Witcher Games Yennefer has become old and ill. Gerald still being reasonably fit but still being pretty old asks her now famous witcher daughter ciri to help save Yennefer. She remembers this world and they set out to find a cure for Yen. Whether ot not they succeed with intially doesn't really matter because eventually Yen dies of old age.
V, even with our knowledge, would never be able to identify Gerald because this world has full body prosthetic technology. For all we know the Gerald of Night City could be looking like anyone.
If this were to become canon it would need the blessing of the creators of both worlds! Which is unlikely. Also CDPR didn't even do a quests just with ciri which would not be that impactful on both canons like this would be. So it seems unlikely that there will ever be more than just this little easter egg.

It would make sense that should they have somehow found themselves in Night City, Yennefer would've been unable to acquire the ingredients and thus she would've eventually died of natural causes, albeit, at a much slower rate than a normal human probably.
That's a great catch. I was never captured so I didn't come across that. I wouldn't read too much into it, it's just CDPR paying a small homage to the book franchise that made a huge name for themselves. The how/why is irrelevant, they really both died at the end of the series, were on a different world, etc. It's just a fun easter egg that if you found it, you found it. Why Yennefer would even want her ashes spread on the moon, why that box would be there, etc, just part of the easter egg.
I do think it is more likely that it was Ciri that took the urn there as she is the only one that can travel through dimensions. Also wondering whether the flowers on the urn were lilacs...

On the subject of secrets, I just found one that idk if you’ve mentioned before. In White Orchard, there’s a place of power North-East of the Sawmill marker. If you go there (I’m assuming AFTER you do Isle of Mists) you can find four of the dwarfs from that mission, including Gaspard, standing around it and checking it out. Idk why they’re here, but it’s a weird little Easter egg. Might also be dependant on getting the Witcheress ending and not ratting the dwarves out to the soldiers.
IIRC there's an interaction with them in one of the endings, so maybe they just spawn there too early.

next cyberpund dlc: geralt as a playable character or an npc. It would be fantastic either way
