Mel, my kiddo has been home from school all day with strep throat. Shes rarely sick. She’s been watching your videos throughout the day. You’ve been a great comfort to her today. Thank you!
I don’t know where you have been all my life, but you are the type of person that I love. You are real and you embrace life and change. I especially love it when you recite scripture. What is the name of your church? I would like to check it out online. I live in Kentucky, so online would be the only way I could attend. Thank you for brightening my days. You honestly remind me of my mother and grandmother the way you cook. I have a feeling that your channel is going to soar. I have told my family and friends to check you out. With Christian Love, Missy
Happy Fall friends, hope you enjoy our family's favorite crescent roll recipes. Have a blessed week and thanks so much for spending some of your day with me. ❤️🥰🍁🍂
@@MrsAlmaTrumble hello Sweet Friend. I bet that Y'all are enjoying your sweet new Grandson. Grandchildren are such a Blessing. hope you have a wonderful night. Love you.
I just found your channel and have subscribed. After seeing that you are in east Tennessee, I wanted to enquire into the safety and well-being of you and your family. I lived in Nashville for twenty years, working as a commercial electrician. I was there when they had their previous really bad flood, in around 2007. That's not eastern Tennessee, but I have perhaps an inkling into what you all might be experiencing. You all are in my prayers. God bless.
During my college years at Auburn, I’d stay with a friend during break whose mother used to cook like this every evening. This brings back so many memories
Made your Million dollar chicken roll ups tonight. I had Swanson's canned chicken and some shredded cheese with taco seasoning built in. Splashed about a quarter cup of buttermilk ranch dressing in and stirred that all up. My buttered grand Pillsbury crescent rolls expired in June, but I used them anyway. Instead of doing the triangle pieces rolled up, I left 2 together and folded them over a pile of the shredded chicken and cheese and ranch. After 10 minutes I removed and added the cream of chicken soup mixed with a bit of milk. I meant to add some seasoning, but didn't. My 16 year old son said, "It's confusingly good." High praise from him, my wife liked it, too. And it was hot today, but they love something new. 😊
I’m watching your video. Thank you for it. During the million $ chicken roll ups, you mention adding, “1/4 c. Garlic powder & 1/4 c. Onion powder”. I’m thinking you mean 1/4 tsp of each, not 1/4 c. It does look yummy. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to make ours a little easier with your recipes.
I love the crescent sausage bake. I brown up hashbrowns and throw in the bottom of the pan, then add my sausage mixture, then bake it. Pour over some white gravy and you have an awesome meal.
So many channels are too perfect. Big kitchens with all the right tools. Watching this video it felt like a real person was cooking & I can't wait to try these. We are all about the Pillsbury dough & I thank u for giving us more to create.
Remedy, you are so right, but here you get easy to make common sense, down home cooking. I'm not a cook, but even i can understand this and follow the recipe. I definitely will be making these recipes soon. I join everyone else in prayer, for your grandson's complete healing and recovery.
❤️🥰 thank you so much, that is exactly what my videos are, and exactly how I want you to feel when you watch. So thank you so much for this comment, I love that you feel at home here ❤️
I use to make the apple dumplings for my daddy all the time. He loved them. I honestly haven’t made them since he passed, but I think I might need to make them for his birthday.
I was gifted an 8 pack of crescent rolls from Costco and didn't have the foggiest idea what to do with them. Then I found this video. I can't wait to give these a try.
Your recipes look amazing easy and fast and I had tons of cream of soups and just tons of it and of course cheese I need to quit buying canned food so now I can use up my canned food and not have to worry about it thank you and God bless our King is coming back soon his name is Jesus Northern California
All these look great.all things my husband would eat. I enjoy all of your videos. It always feels like I am visiting with family as I watch. See you next week. God Bless.
When I was young, back in the dark ages, we would have plum dumplings. I bet plums (prune plums) would be great in your crescent roll dumplings! Also, for your chicken roll ups, I'd use Alfredo pasta sauce in place of the chicken soup sauce sometimes, just as another option.
Hey Momma Mel! i was just prepping some pizza ingredients and realize you dont use MUSHROOMS! not everybody likes them and the way you understand yor families tastes is admirable! so full of love and respect 😊 keep 'em coming!!
👩🏻💻I have been a Mountain Dew drinker for 55 years. When I was 12 my big brother gave me a sip and I was hooked. It has to be the real sugar original dew; I am glad they brought it back. These recipes can be easily doubled for seconds on dinner and lunch for 2 people the next day. Your recipes are really helping our food budget. Thank you so much, I am grateful your kind service in sharing your time, knowledge, and talents.🙋♀️🇺🇲🇬🇧
I can’t tolerate sugar substitutes in commercial products. I can add stevia to coffee without a problem or other sugar substitutes but once they are processed in commercial products they make me very sick. So I have to alter any recipe that calls for a diet product. (I also have to watch cold medicines, etc since they now use sugar substitutes without labeling the product sugar free or diet. I absolutely have to read the ingredients. I am actually going to first try this recipe without the soda as I usually just drink all natural sodas. The recipe looks delicious. If it needs something more I will add the Mountain Dew the next time.) Mountain Dew is great for my migraines!
I know Takis it must be so difficult to be in the care of so many animals but what a rewarding life you live. We are so thankful for all your hard work,
Thanks, and you for sure can't eat these kinda of dishes everyday but they are yummy, quick and easy meals for busy days . Thanks so much for watching 😊
Today is the 1st time I've seen your video. It came up, so I watched it and I loved it. It's easy to listen to your voice. I am very familiar with some of these receipts because I used to sale Pampered Chef. But it was nice to bring back to my memory. That will be good to used the left over turkey after Thanksgiving 👍 looking forward to more of your videos.
I love that your recipes are simple, with no frills. So many videos put all kinds of extra ingredients such as onions or peppers, etc... which I don't like. It's nice to see some simplicity...
I just made your chicken and corn bread with the soup cream of chicken soup and I loved it it was the most delicious casserole I can't wait to see all of your recipes you are amazing that's what we're having for dinner tonight I love it
Omg!! I made the million dollar chicken roll ups! They have to be one of my favorite roll up dishes. Mel,my husband sends you a hug!! I was concerned that they would be gummy from the soup, but I was so wrong! The filling was creamy, and the biscuits stayed a little crisp. I spaced mine apart and the sides of the crescent rolls cooked up nicely. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
The version i learned with the sausage called for one cup of grated sharp cheddar and 2 eggs. And prebake the bottom for 10 mins. It is our family's favorite for Christmas morning. I thinl i will try the cream cheese. Sounds yummy.
My favorite thing to do with crescent dough is to use the sheet, for pizza. I bake it for about 10 min. add the sauce and toppings, then bake for another 7 to 10 minutes
I'm from SC originally, now living in FL, and I loved this video. I don't know how it showed up on my stream, I think it was because I watched a video about Appalachia. This reminds me of sitting on my daddy's old drafting stool watching my mama cook. I was never taught to cook, I just sort of absorbed it. I love those apple dumplings and I'm going to make me some of those tomorrow.
Glad you enjoyed it! And so glad that RUclips served me up to you, thanks for clicking on my video. I hope you enjoy lots of fun and good food here. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment
I just found your channel and I subscribed in the first chicken casserole! I used to hist Pampered Chef. They had a Ham and Broccoli Rolls. It was my Daddy's favorite meal. Thank you SO MUCH for mentioning to par bake the crescent rolls! Daddy loved rolls to be really dome, so it was tough in the middle. If anyone else is interested, I do the crescents in the rectangle like the first recipe. Then I pulled it over to meet in the middle. Then it cooked more evenly. But I love the braided one that you did. When I make these recipes, I'm going to try that! Your channel is so wonderful my 91 y.o. Mom sat and watched them, snd she never does that. I agree with one of the commenter below. These inexpensive, delicious, one-pot meals are perfect for this season in our lives! I need to try all of them before Jesus comes back.!
You can also use pie crust. I don’t use all that sugar, I only us 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, I also put cinnamon and sprinkle sugar on the inside of the crescent rolls. ( the Mountain Dew has plenty of sugar in it). You can do this with any fruit or even berries in summer for tarts!
Hi Mel. I've made that taco ring for years. I sold Pampered Chef briefly years ago. That's where I first learned of that recipe. And my son loves the sausage, cream cheese crescents. I've made them in the sheet pan and also individually. AND, I grew up in Blount County and never knew that Mountain Dew was invented in Knoxville! Makes sense though! Lots of products made in Tennessee! GO VOLS. Lol.
Wow! That first recipe could be used for so many occasions. I would easily serve it at a brunch along with a salad. Maybe even at a women’s gathering like a baby shower. It is beautiful & looks yummy! Just needs the perfect side item to tailor it to the event: chips for a football party, salad for a baby shower, etc. Can’t wait to make this one.
Dang these recipes look gooood! Can’t wait to get to the store to stock up on the crescent rolls and ingredients, ESPECIALLY the various cheeses. In my book, cheese is also a major food group🤪‼️ THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for these yummy recipes. Also, your demonstrations and presentations are awesome since you explained everything step-by-step, and you don’t get stressed out. You have a calming voice which is very helpful when trying a new recipe that pleases everyone but doesn’t have to be perfect‼️
I just found your videos and I love them!!! With prices the way they are it’s hard to spend less then 150 a week for groceries to feed 4 people! Your videos have helped me stretch my meals! Thank you so much! May God bless you and your family. I have one request, can you please help with sides when you post also? If not I understand. Thank you again! I can’t wait to see your next video!
Really love these recipes! I work weekends about once a month in a residential home for adults. It really helps staff feel better about working the weekend when they have a tasty lunch. These are some great inexpensive ideas!
I have just recently started watching your videos. I get tired of cooking the same old. I love the cressant roll recipes. I was also very happy to here you are from Knoxville. I was born there and have my Aunt and Cousins there.
Ive watched this video a few times but you just gave me an idea for the breakfast sandwiches i make to do them with crescents like your crescent sandwiches but with eggs i bake in a cookie sheet as well. Thank you!
Wow, what a treat!! Have shared to my laptop. But a question - are these recipes available in writing? I must say. Your beautiful southern accent is music to my ears. I left Alabama with my children and pastor husband to Hawaii in the late 70’s. Oh, I just heard Tennessee, the place of my birth. He pastored a church for years, but is in heaven now. I stayed here as my children married wonderful local people. And have their roots planted deep in Hawaii. Mahalo for your scrumptious recipes. Do hope they are available in writing to print.
Master Casserole chef Mamma Mel , Your casseroles are a Wonderful way to share your love ! Thanks again for sharing these Fabulous Flavorful Casseroles ! Your friend Johnny
Thank you for showing us some simple fun ways to make dinner. My husband would love everything you prepared. I’m making these, they are as easy as running by some fast food place to pickup dinner, except we can have a good fast meal at home.❤️
I am so glad that you shared those recipes my little heads just a swimming with ideas thank you very much for your time your consideration and your fabulous dinners and your Mountain Dew dumplings cheers Florida
All of those recipes looked so delicious and my Family will love them. Thank you for sharing these with us and I will definitely be making them. Great video and we'll see you next time.
Yummy, yummy, yummy! Will definitely keep this video around and try out a couple of these for either potluck get togethers or football game days! Thank you so much Mel. I really do appreciate you sharing all of your cooking expertise and experience with us in your wonderful videos.
Hello Sweet Friend. I absolutely love all these recipes. My Family loves the sausage cream cheese crescent rolls. I make them 2 or 3 times a month. I'm so excited to make your apple crescent rolls. they look so Delicious. Thank you for sharing. God Bless Y'all. I hope that your upcoming week is wonderful. Much Love From your longtime Indiana Friend.
Oh we love that sausage one so much too, breakfast or just a snack meal idea. Thanks so much for watching and always supporting and encouraging me. Have a blessed week friend 💖
I’m so thankful RUclips recommended your channel!! I’m excited to try these!! It seems like for some reason the prices of the canned biscuits and crescent rolls have gone up 😢 but these look amazing, my kids will love them!! The Mountain Dew is such an interesting ingredient!! ❤️
Oh my goodness I live in Crossville Tennessee. We're neighbors lol. I love the Smokey's, absolutely beautiful. I hope you and your family are doing well. God bless y'all.
This was a really great video, Mel! I hope to try some of these soon. It's still a little hot here, but starting to cool down a bit. I hope it's beginning to cool down for you too. And also, I did not know that history about Mountain Dew...learned something new tonight 😊🍂🍁.
I might add a small can of mushrooms & a chopped green or red pepper to the shredded chicken or the sausage recipe. I often sneak some frozen peas or chopped broccoli into a casserole sometimes, too.
I make the “braid” one but with a spinach dip, and I cross the ends criss cross wise to appear as if it was braided. I just bought the Dew to make the dessert one you just shared. I can’t wait to try it!!
These all look so good! Those million dollar chicken roll ups are something I’m curious to try with leftover Thanksgiving turkey. I bet it would be delicious. (Not even October and my mind is on Thanksgiving 🤣)
Do u remember that apple/potato peeler that pampered chef used to carry that had the de corer in it? I had one of those that I got as a gift for hosting a party and I NEVER USED IT. But after watching this video I had my husband go out to the garage and check a box I had taken out when I decluttered awhile ago and it was in there. Yeah. But guess what ? I don’t have any idea when I will ever use it! Lol. Have a blessed day. 😊
You made crescent rolls so much better and made my cooking experience, more enjoyable and easier to plan and not feeling like everything is so hard and complicated. Thank you I was just thinking of using some stovetop dressing with the chicken and vegetables with the cream of chicken soup on top, maybe that might be good. Thank you again.
I continue to love your channel Mel! Yesterday I made the crescent ham and turkey sandwich. It was easy and oh so good! Keep 'em coming! I enjoy watching you so much!
I have to tell you what your video just did to me...I have been wanting to get a bit anxious thinking & debating about some new ideas & recipes I want to make for my family for the upcoming holidays! Honey, you are a answer to my prayers! Seriously , you are! I have been wanting to try some new dishes to have throughout the holidays, and praying I could find some that were easy peasy & so tasty delish! Awh, this blesses my heart, I'm so happy that this has helped you out! I should have all the recipes pinned for you, but just FYI I did say 1/4 cup of garlic and onion powder in one of these recipes but of course I meant 1/4 teaspoon 🤣 I've got lots of fun new appetizers and Christmas goodies coming up soon. Thanks so much for watching 😊

I’m pretty close to you. I’m just outside of Lexington Kentucky in Nicholasville. Knoxville is a beautiful area. I said if I ever left Kentucky I would move to Tennessee. I will definitely make every one of these recipes. I’m thinking extra sour cream and salsa on the breakfast sausage one you made. My husband will love that one. It all looks so yummy. 🙏🏻🇺🇸
These recipes are also helpful for do- nothing weekends also deli sliced turkey, is a best economical alternative to a regular turkey for making Thanksgiving dinner

I am in Indiana. But Knoxville is my home away from home ❤
I make something similar to this but I add spinach , onion, mozzarella and provolone cheese! Soooo good
Yum, which one do you add this to? It sounds great on any of them 👍

Everything looks good.great fall foods thanks for sharing.have a blessed night.😍
Thanks fries and I hope you have a blessed week too 🥰
Wow, what a treat!!

Not a soda drinker, but the apple dumplings also work great with apple cider/juice in place of the Mountain Dew. :)

I’m so thankful RUclips recommended your channel!! I’m excited to try these!! It seems like for some reason the prices of the canned biscuits and crescent rolls have gone up 😢 but these look amazing, my kids will love them!! The Mountain Dew is such an interesting ingredient!! ❤️
They are cheaper at Aldi😉

You and i cook a like, lots of butter, sugars and especially LOVE!!! everything looks delicious and I will try them. Thanx for sharing
Omg !!! All those recipes look amazing can’t wait to try them all. Thank you so much for sharing them.😘😘😘❤❤❤❤🤩🤩🤩
These all look so good! Those million dollar chicken roll ups are something I’m curious to try with leftover Thanksgiving turkey. I bet it would be delicious. (Not even October and my mind is on Thanksgiving 🤣)
You saved me for now! I think this is a great idea!
O’.
Love watching you, it's like we are there.love your sense of humor 😊
I made the first recipe for my family a couple of months ago
They LOVED it. I'll be making it again tomorrow night. Your recipes are great
Do u remember that apple/potato peeler that pampered chef used to carry that had the de corer in it?
I watch your videos and enjoy your meals. I am in Newport Tennessee just 50 miles east of Knoxville. Thank you for sharing these recipes.
The apple dumplins are going to be at my xmas table on Sunday.Thank you and Merry Christmas!!
I continue to love your channel Mel! Yesterday I made the crescent ham and turkey sandwich. It was easy and oh so good! Keep 'em coming! I enjoy watching you so much!

@@InTheKitchenWithMommaMel I will be following you Momma Mel! ❤ I love everything I've seen thus far & I want to try all of them! I actually will the majority of them & would all if I can. Your my kind of cook! Love it! Thanks a million honey! Blessings! 💗❤🤗🙏❣
Adding a ½ can of rotel to the chicken roll-ups is really good too
I’m pretty close to you. 🙏🏻🇺🇸
Peaches in this recipe also sound delicious !
These recipes are also helpful for do- nothing weekends also deli sliced turkey, is a best economical alternative to a regular turkey for making Thanksgiving dinner
Look up Pillsbury Chicken Crescent squares!!! My mom made them for us when I was young. Im 59 now. Trust me, you’ll love them!
Can’t wait to try these yummy ideas, especially the apple one at the end. I will add some chopped pecans as the last ingredient.
Sounds great!
