Some of the dogs we have under our care will never find a forever home. There are not small size ,white and fluffy. They are not healthy enough or young enough...
They are gonna stay with us for the rest of their life and we are trying to give them all the necessary and lots of love ...
We just wish we could do better...

I always rescued pets no one wanted due to age or (dis)abilities, they deserve a home just as much as any other pet.
The pain of losing a pet after a shorter time is more bearable to me than seeing pets who don't have the home and love they deserve.

Her mission to rescue sick and abandoned Dog's is exemplary. Her love, compassion and devotion is unsurpassed. She works relentlessly to give hope for a better life to so many Dogs and Cats. She truly is an amazing Woman. In Greece, like many of the Mediterranean Countries in Europe, Animal welfare is virtually non existent. Ermioni is a Woman of substance in a predominately Male orientated Country, where Women 50 years ago, where Women had no voice or status. Ermioni has proved that Woman have the power to do what they believe in. Animal abuse, is always the Men giving the abuse and she fights this abuse of Animals, which is her calling, bringing much needed awareness to the next generation, that Dogs are amazing Animals and should be treated with love, kindness and respect. We get such a small glimpse into her life weekly, I can only imagine what it was like to really spend a day with her and what she deals with daily. I'm not sure my heart could take it and yet I'd love to come to Greece and volunteer to help her even if it was only for a day. Some of these dogs look like they may be very expensive breeds of dogs. Wish I could adopt them all.

Mine eat the food and leave the pill !!!!!!
Trick is to make 4 treats.
Maybe a bit of fried bacon or bacon fat, melt a bit of cheese, when it is soft, and malleable, mould it around the pill.
Make 4 balls up.
Tease your dog with the first two. Make sure they smell it, drool over it, even pretend you are eating them..
Give the first one with no pill. Give second, after a bit of a tease. Normally, they are gulping it down, in excitement. 3rd ball has pill in it, and should be grabbed and swallowed without any hesitation, 4th ball just as a bonus. So they just assume they are treats.
Slowly, you can cut down on number of balls you make.
Hope it works for you. Believe me, cats are MUCH harder!

These dogs are so happy to have human attention and most were probably abandoned by non caring humans....so sad!!! in a sad world!!
