Squirrel, trust me when I say that AP will carry you down to that rwy, even though from far back you can see that your off on the localizer (left-to-right guidance). Try doing a true IMC landing, vis conditions max 150-200 meters at the destination airport. That way you get close to approaching minimums, or just ride AP till minimums, then disconnect AP, after confirming you can see the airport before minimums. Do the final part of the approach manually (unless your fancy with the auto landing, idk bout that). Give it a try g!!! Good vids though, keep up the awesome content 🤙

Be interesting to see how the sim represents the famous gibraltan turbulence as the plane comes out from behind the rock's protective shade. EDIT: Imagine turning the taxi lights on and then there's this yellow and black checkered light on top of the plane with 'T A X I' printed down the side, and people started running up to the sides of the runways and sticking their arms out and shouting "TAXI!!", calling you names as you zoom past them on your takeoff roll.
Another thing is that they needed to add simulating passenger boarding and de-boarding. This is where most of the sims lack immersion on 😕. That way you can get the complete package of you actually “completing” something on your flights... it’s something so small that would add so much 🙁

MrCatalysis101 he was playing the beta...
@@azurealpaca the final product doesn't look better. look at the ratings.

Paul Brennan works for me. Sometimes I can’t use the switches though so then I have to restart but otherwise that’s really the only bug I’ve noticed. It’s a new game and this is an open beta so you have to expect bugs.
Good flight, great landing. I did like the taxi to gate visuals. 👍
I live in Mallorca and have been waiting for someone to upload a route to/from Palma. It's really nice to see! Can't speak too much to the accuracy of the airport but the scenery on approach looked amazing and very accurate, at least at a glance! Can't wait to try it out myself!
Man, all these avionics issues really have me worried for release. Wonder how much of that they will be able to fix til then.
4 days from release. They have a lot of work for that little window.... Im not going to expect much there tbh
@@Deep_field me neither, yet here's to hoping
I'm not terribly concerned at the moment. We have no idea how old these prerelease builds are that all these videos are playing on. Haven't seen any content creator mention receiving updated builds since footage embargo was lifted.
If you watch the chat video Microsoft had with Asobo of the flight simulator channel, one of the questions was about all the autopilot bugs and oscillation of aircraft... they said that the autopilot team was aware of the problems and that some have already been addressed... but they have not updated the pre release version... they solve about 50 bugs a day... safe to say there will still be some issues... but it will keep getting better and better
@@readyforpushbackjet thats good to hear! :)
Great video.......Really nice to see Gibraltar modelled in glorious detail, as about a year ago I was there getting married! We flew in and out in an airbus as well! Just a few more days to go before I get my hands on the sim.....already have a new computer to run it well! Another great demo of a wonderful new Flight Simulator...Thanks....
It is amazing how much better engines work with fuel pumps! Even in a game ;)
Great flight. Can't believe the nerve of that ground marshal. Must've taken a long lunch break. LOL. Thanks for the video.
29:10 I can see my house, or at least where it is supposed to be
christianbro2 must be a big house if you can see it from there mate 😂
Beautiful work they have done with Gibraltar.
I would know It's my home.
Another great video, Squirrel
Thanks
I don't know if eclipses are simulated but flying through one would be cool
glupor is the moon visible in game during the day?
@@Tface1572 yeah it should be the moon position is programmed into the game aswell as the real night sky. I hope the moon can cast a shadow on the earth when passing the sun
Lovely smooth landing that one!
Starting to think most serious simmers are pilots in real life
The phrase "checks and flows" sprang to mind.
that constant rocking left and right with the wings seems to be a bug with the plane or the simulator. This bothers me allot.
Thanks for this tutorial! This was my first flight in MSFS since the 4.0 version. Still so much to learn but I gained some confidence thanks to this video.
Was anyone else going through this and saying "uh mate the pumps arent on" 😂
yep I was
And this is exactly why you should use checklists.
Clean config to land with gear down... Nice!
I find the side-to-side rocking during cruise highly irritating
Indeed, constant wobble gives an unstable impression.
I agree. It's very annoying and not very realistic.
Gibraltar looks gorgeous.
Isn't it "Mallorca"?
In Germany we write "Mallorca"
Not in English. We say 'Mayorka' . I guess it similar to how Americans pronounce Ibiza 'Eyebeeza' instead of the British way of 'Ibeetha'.
two "l's" together in Spanish is pronounced like a "y". And to MightyBrows regarding the pronunciation of Ibiza, the "z" has a "th" sound because in Spain their accent sounds almost similar to a lisp. E.G. Barcelona is pronounced "Barthelona".
@@mightybrows8809 How the different countries pronounce the name is not important, the only and correct name of the balearic island is and remains, as indicated on many international maps, MALLORCA!
@@YouOnlyIiveTwice actually because it's Catalan, they say 'barsalona' instead of barthelona, every local pointed that out to me last year 🤭
MightyBrows cool, same in German. Its still wrong. Writing and pronounciation are two different things. The island is called Mallorca, not Majorca.
i must say, yours are the only full flights i watch ... never disappointed with your lands. Good job.
Gibraltar! Love my home town!
Another thing is that they needed to add simulating passenger boarding and de-boarding. This is where most of the sims lack immersion on 😕. That way you can get the complete package of you actually “completing” something on your flights... it’s something so small that would add so much 🙁
This! There is a strange sense of satisfaction watching digital passengers board and disembark. Like you've done something right today.
In the above video, they should just jump out the door at the end .... "Stuff this - I've got a meeting to get to - can't wait for the stairs!!!!"
Don Choo exactly .. like it’s not really hard to implement either 🙏🏻
Very nice video! Just a tip, when you vacate the runway, let your whole aircraft go beyond the holding point before stopping and doing after landing checklist :)
Mallorca*, please. Thank you.
Not the English spelling.
@@glennmaxfield6618 Mallorca is not an English island/city.

The over the mountain approach in the 747 to Kai Tak, the old Hong Kong airport, would make an interesting video, that is if its still modelled in FS2020. I have flown it dozens of times from the new airport in FSX. Its great fun and challenging.
That pushback control was on point
Beautiful graphics can’t wait for the 18th! Also here I am screaming fuel at the screen when you were starting the engines with all the fuel pumps off lol.
Great video.
One thing I noticed is that you enabled the Expedite mode before taking off. This makes the aircraft climb at a steeper angle with a high climb rate and you quickly lose airspeed.
It’s generally not used at all
5 days cannot wait!
