how do you change the recipient ? Do you put a brand new one instead of the full one ? Or you empty the used (full of liquid) one and then place it back ?
Hello - You will want to change the canister of your ActiV.A.C unit when it is full. For further assistance please reach out to your local Solventum representative. Here are the instructions: The 3M™ V.A.C.° Canister should be changed when full (the alarm will sound) or at least once a week to control odor: 1. Follow standard precautions as the system may contain body fluids. 2. Close the clamps on both the V.A.C.° Canister and SensaT.R.A.C. Pad tubing. 3. Disconnect the V.A.C.® Canister tubing from the SensaT.R.A.C. Pad tubing. 4. Remove the V.A.C.® Canister from the unit. 5. Dispose of the V.A.C.® Canister according to specified institution protocol or state and local regulations. 6. Install a new V.A.C.® Canister as described in therapy unit's labeling and instructional materials. 7. Connect the new V.A.C.® Canister to the SensaT.R.A.C. Pad tubing and initiate therapy as ordered.
Hi Max, if you get a blockage alarm on the 3M™ ActiV.A.C.® Therapy System, please perform the following blockage alarm resolution actions: 1. Check tubing for closed clamps, kinks, crimps or blockages. Open clamps and fix any kinks or crimps. 2. Inspect to ensure a Quarter-sized (2.5cm) hole has been cut in the drape. 3. A smaller hole, an “x” or a slit may cause blockage, pressure fluctuations and other functionality issues. 4. Ensure dressing and drape have not shifted and blocked 3M™ SensaT.R.A.C.™ Pad outer lumens. 5. Ensure SensaT.R.A.C. Pad is located in a flat area of the body, avoiding a skin fold. 6. Avoid the additional use and application of adhesive tape on or over SensaT.R.A.C. Pad. Please let us know if you have any additional questions!
Hello - thank you for your question. We recommend contacting your provider or care center that is managing the V.A.C.® Therapy Unit, and they can have the unit serviced. If that is unsuccessful, please call 3M technical support at 1-800-275-4524, and select option 3.

@@jonathanvdberg8325 I don't have anything to complain about the treatment, only thing is living with the machine is very annoying, can't sleep because the machine makes noise, takes away mobility because I need to carry it everywhere, had to go to the hospital in the middle of the night because of a leak. Also can't really sit on anything with my butt because of the tube.
