Excellent tutorial. I have one of these. I actually just received it and I came here looking for instructions on freezing it. By the way, on my clear plastic dome lid, there is a rubber cap that fits into the hole on the dome lid covering it up so nothing can spill out. It looks like you didn't get that part. If you look next to the hole in the dome lid you might see a much smaller hole, about 1/8th inch wide. That's where the rubber cap anchors into. Anyway, great video. Thanks for posting it.

@@KeriPratt this doesn’t work for mine. Mine doesn’t work at all. I don’t know if it’s mine or what’s wrong with it because I took everything off like you did and nothing will go back on and if it doesn’t go back on it all just falls off and the liquid goes everywhere.

Bought one of these but with a diffrent brand and tried it alot of times, question.
Does it need to be all the way to the top and do i have to squeeze only on the bottom?
I squeeze it in the middle part as it's the softest area to squeeze, but it dont not need to be filled all the way to the top.

Straw is available without detachment of the spoon end. Just leave the spoon attached to the straw and put into the slush matter and slurp from the straw.

Should the liquid inside the cup freeze into solid ice? The one I bought for my sister does and it did some tears on the thing because of it, causing the fluid to spill and now it’s useless.
The liquid in the walls, should freeze solid, but still squeezable. The liquid you pour inside, shouldn’t have froze solid. That’s really too bad that it’s broken.

@@durakeno5575 from the sounds of it you were using it correctly. I don’t know what would have caused the walls to breakdown though.

You can squeeze it about a minute, and then just let it sit for a minute or two, time does some of the work for you.

I froze mine for several hours and it never slushed up my liquid. Tried it overnight with same results. A big fat nothing. Glad I didn't pay for mine.

I think i got scammed, i froze the cup and tried it but it didnt work. I tried 3 times now with different timers. On the first try i tried for 30 mins, on the second i tried for 1 hour, then on the last one was 24 hours. It still didnt work i also squeezed it for like 10-20 mins.

I have the same problem. I froze the magic cup for 6 hours, added some cold soda from the bottom of my fridge, squeezed for 20 min, and nothing happened. Not even a tiny ice crystal! I've now tried a bunch of times. Same result every time. ☹️

Did you squeeze the edges of the cup repeatedly for 3-5 mins? The cup becomes soft as the drink becomes slushy.
I put 12h in the freezer, but still dont make slushy
Make sure the pop has also been in the fridge, and is cold.

Have you tried putting less liquid in? I’ve learned to add less, and then once slushy add some more liquid and continue to squeeze so it doesn’t overflow.

I wonder if there's something toxic in this chemical reaction...
Each cup sides are filled a solution (possibly salt & water) that freezes at a lower temperature than plain water does. Once it’s frozen, anything it comes in contact with will also freeze rapidly. It’s not a chemical process.
If you’ve ever made ice cream in a bag, you’ve seen the effects of salt and ice working together.
Is absolute rubbish, the amount of plastic and earth's resources put into this item is crazy, 10 hours freezing, add liquid and squeese for 60secs..........3 spoonfulls of watery ice, back in the freezer and 10 hours later repeat.
Or, add any drink of your choice with ice to a blender, 60secs blending and slushie for the whole family, repeat as often as necessary.
The 2 slushie makers we bought are going straight back to the store, useless, pointless and wasteful 😢😢😢
Yes, I agree a blender works better when feeding an entire family. No one else in my family likes Slurpees, so this is a good solution for me personally.
