A planes sat nav/ GPS going down shouldn't be an even slight panic. Does anyone still understand simple pre electronics navigation? Every plane should have a super complex piece of kit known as a MAP

I know I am an American and have no right to talk about British politics.. but I really miss Boris Johnson's line during the intro to these videos. The new guy just doesn't have much flare.
The GPS blackout has been a thing for quite a few months. Recently Estonia, all the way down to Poland was blacked out! BTW, ALL aircraft have a backup against this attack it's called a compass. In fact a good pilot with just his wrist watch, and either the sun or moon will be cable to navigate. They just have to know the time, and estimate their position (position of our largest celestial body). So whilst light aircraft will suffer, they won't be that bad. Automated system are the problematics points, so movement of goods, drones, Telecommunication, or even satellites comms.
I listen to the podcast from Sweden, I like it a lot! Nice that it will remain independent.

Great news about the Telegraph.
So frightening, thinking of the Emirates owning the Telegraph! Kind of like Russia owning it, just once removed!
Europe (that is something broader than the EU) has home produced weapons matching almost every item coming from the US and superior in quality to anything in the Russian inventory. What it doesn't have is the depth of reserve items. Remember almost everything America has supplied is material out of storage or in the process of being replaced by new equipment. So it is not the lack of knowledge but of capacity. Marder for example has proven remarkably efficient some remain in storage but how hard would it to be to re-open a production line? The Belfast factory should be gearing up to mass produce N-Law and so on.
