Thanks, helped me to change my 2010 fiesta pads. On the left side i think the bleeding nipple was blocked i guess, had to open it more, so figuring out took some extra time, but eventually made it. Bought a plastic fuel line clamp, which cracked right away of course. Used some brake saddle grease instead. The cleaner had a warning not to spray on the rubber parts, could be worth a mention as well as what to do when a bleeding nipple is blocked. You must have excessive finger strength to remove the pads so easily, i had to pry a while :) .All in all took a bit over 2 hours as was my first brake pads change. Will need to still check the fluid levels.

One important thing you forgot was to remove the brake caliper slide boots then the pins, and then clean up and lubricate the pins before refitting. Brake caliper slide pins have the tendency of seizing with the heat that's generated when braking which causes uneven pad wear.

Adding to this, never use copper slip when doing the pins as the copper properties wear away the rubber seals. Use a silicon grease 👍

Many thanks for a clear and informative film. If your wife has got 40,000 miles from a set of pads then she's a wonderful woman and deserves a box of milk tray! Thanks again.

Thanks for that, maybe check the Brake Fluid reservoir after taking up the slack with pumping the brake pedal?

Thanks for the informative video! Only thing I wish was included was the torque setting for the sliding pins. Also, when loosening the sliding pins you use a 19mm spanner presumably to stop the pin from spinning? But you didn't do this when refitting, can you please explain as I am rather confused! 🙈

2017 on cars look a bit different. There is a wire spring clip on mine. Think you also need a 7mm - 0.5" Allen key socket.

Great video but something popped into my mind when you said...''Safety is paramount'' to anyone watching this video......Never have your legs under the car no matter what! Never trust axle stands no matter what! an axle stand can suddenly collapse, even the most expensive type may fail one day, learn to sit with your legs to one side or crossed legs, my sister in law saw her husband nearly die to blood loss! One of his axle stands buckled and the car hit the ground that fast the disc pinned his leg to the floor, cutting a big vein in his leg and he nearly bled to death whilst trapped, luckily his missus got the car jacked back up and applied pressure to the gash and was taken to hospital, imagine if he was on his own.

Tip #1 Keep your leg under the car to make sure than the rotor will not hit the floor if the car drop.
