  • In this video I review the incredible Kizer Towser S pocket knife. I go over the size of the Towser S in comparison to the Benchmade Bugout and Spyderco Endela. I also show a Victorinox Pioneer as well. I go over the Kizer’s fit and finishing of its quality Black Stonewashed finish. The basically perfect pocket clip that carry’s deep and has no hotspots. I talk about the high quality Micarta scales and the easy to access line lock cutout. I take a look at the blade shape and ergonomics of the Kizer being like a Yesper Voxnaes F5.5 mixed with a Spyderco. I mentioned liking the choice of 154CM blade steel as a choice for the blade as it is a great all around EDC steel. I talk about the outstanding, hard hitting, drop shut action due to the large Mult row bearing system that is something usually on very high end knives like a Shirogorov Pocket knife. This makes this a slicy, ergonomic, beefy, trustworthy fidget working knife for under $75. This is the next level in value for money. Getting a designer knife and ergos and build and materials and action. A knife with true soul and fun for under $100

I want one. I feel like this would be a great button lock, I have a mini sheepdog in that richlite. The towser s with richlite looks super cool, I’m leaning towards this model tho

I am struggling to choose my next knife. I am not made of money so I cant just buy the three or four blades I have been debating over.
Your excellent, thoroughly interesting review has helped me to finally decide to purchase the towser s.
Your review (and the towser s itself) just ticks so many boxes and justifies the decision.
Fantastic. Subscription added. Thanks. Happy holidays!

Do you find that their steels can run a little soft?

Unfortunately I believe that a lot of Chinese OEMs run their heat treats low to help them reduce production parts wear and maintenance. I think the benefit of 154CM compared to something like 20CV is it preforms well at lower hrc and is a lot less temperamental. From my understanding, 20CV and M390 have to be in a very specific range of heat and have to be cryo tempered to get the performance users think they are buying. Unfortunately with the demand of production. Most mass production companies don’t have that luxury of time to pour over a knife like a low volume or custom maker would.
