the way this works is heat expansion, when the air particles are heated, they will move faster and further apart, if each particle need enough space to move around, it will expand the air. The air will then push on the sides of the ball, fixing the dent.
What happens is that the air inside the ball gets warm and expands which fixes the dent and it shrinks back at normal temperature which fixes the ball.
Or at least that's what we learn in school, because gas expands a lot on heating. However your trick is very effective and useful thanks for your effort.
We did this as teenagers in the 70s, and although it worked, the balls always came out slightly warped...better than nothing, but we still had to buy new balls.
:) yes, your descriptions are correct. but that's for people living in a rich country, for those in poor country, this is still a way better than nothing. that's what I'd experienced therefore got such memory until now.
@@FCHacks I saw other people's video and they were saying that we have to keep the ball in water for 5 seconds but that thing was not included on you video so I kept it for long time and I think it was flattened because of keeping the ball for long time in the water

Yea because it worms the gas in ball and atoms get more kinetic energy and atoms of the air just push the plastic and ball is fixed. There is not a vacuum in ball so this method works.
did not check, but suppose it is as my home is very close to the sea level and the temperature, air pressure is normal, the water is tape water. so I suppose it is very close to 100 C deg. but to make the ball pop up, I don't think you need to have the water up to 100C deg, I guess 70-80 have been fine enough. hope that helps.

After doing this
Why does it look like a square shape and has a circular small dent after heating it?
