Great guy, great stories, and such a down to earth fella. His Cloughie impersonation is brilliant, cracks me up every time
I could listen to Mark talking about Cloughie and football for hours. Love the one about Cloughie's rules.
Me too and I a proud baggies fan too
I revist this and the Chippers interview often..
What minute
Mark is just pure class
Great talk with Mark. Great goalkeeper. Brilliant impersonation of Cloughie. Love the vid.
Fantastic interview. I absolutely adore these Brian Clough anecdotes. He was a true 1 off, and Mark Crossley is a great story teller.
I had the good fortune to meet Mark on a number of occasion's back during his Forest days and he really is a top fella. I was a member of the Market Harborough branch of the Supporters Club and Norm came to social events numerous times and was always great company. Not only that, but despite these gatherings being on a Friday, he used to book into a hotel in the town so he could stay and have a few beers....can you imagine a Prem player doing that now?!! Just don't tell him that me and a pal sat on the same table once smoking a funny cigarette....he obviously never did catch a whiff of it!!
A great watch. Mark comes across as a really humble and down to earth guy and he was a great keeper in his day. The Clough stories are tremendous and I’m sure there are more we’ve not heard before.
The most authentic Clough impression I’ve ever heard, his after dinner speech routine must be brilliant. Loved this 👍
As a person Derby person born an bred and part time DCFC fan, I followed Forest representing England in the European cup.Tremendous club. Terrific interview love the Clough impersonations.
Mark is such a great story teller. Could listen to him for hours. Accents are great :)
Absolutely brilliant. Remember Mark playing in goal when I was a kid
Mark was always pure class at Forest. Much Loved always Norm is - and he visits often. Best times of our life under Clough, Clark and even Basset. You Reds
Love listening to his stories comedy gold keep it up
We all love Mark. Among our greatest football characters. All the very best Mark. Martin.
Hi guys, I'm a Derby fan but I love listening to Marks Brian Clough stories, so funny and easy to relate to. Although Derby and Forest don't get on, Cloughie is the common denominator and he is loved by both sets of supporters. Great interview anyway
Great keeper great guy, thanks mark
I'm not a Forest Fan (but a Norwich fan) this is great listening. Thumbs up!
Mark Crossley absolute legend. As a Forest fan can safely say we'll always love our shit house big Norm, his after dinner speaking is stuff off legends
Mark Crossley is a properly decent bloke. One of the most down to earth people going.
Great guy, great stories, and such a down to earth fella. His Cloughie impersonation is brilliant, cracks me up every time
Loved every second of this.
Well done both
Great guy met him on a few occasions away in Europe watching Wales
Could listen to big Norm and these stories all day. The David Currie story has absolutely destroyed me.
he's wonderful isnt he
Superstar Speakers he’s brilliant. Are these videos going to be a regular thing mate?
Can imagine Mark makes a great joke about his month at United at the ex players lunch. Love Mark
Mark Crossley should have his own show on TV, telling stories and impersonating Cloughie. my sided are aching listening to this.
The pride in your club is essential and there’s nothing worse than ‘Well done but…….’ Lovely interview.
What a smashing bloke Mark is
Brilliant
What a funny lovely guy
Great vlog well done
I met Mark at a home match against Arsenal when Dave Bassett was the manager. Such a decent bloke - he wasn’t in the team then but I thought he should have been - a top bloke and a top keeper. Great to hear his anecdotes.
Hi mark brilliant stories mate I absolutely love them and understand the way football was 20 or 30 years ago your absolutely lucky to have been associated with mr clough who wouldn’t these times were the best by a long mile these stories get better the more times you listen to them you played football and got educated at the same time by a legend it must have been a privilege to get called shithouse and be n/ one 😂😂
What top man seen him last night at barry town united fc hope to see you again couldn't stop laughing
Love that Stuart Pearce impression 😂😂😂
Brilliant.
Lovely stuff
would love a pint with norm. great story teller. You can tell cloughy saw his players as sons. put them through some mither but all for character building. Like a mischievous dad. You can see why players would run thru brick walls for him.
Top man
The guy that has never aged
Clough impression que leaning forward and getting as close to camera as possible

Crossley is a class act
Terrific interview. Mark Crossley is pure gold
Hi Mark I was the one who threw the toilet roll at you at the old north bank end highbury ---- did ya mean it Crossley lol - the good old days best a Goooner
Follow him on Twitter and he’s a proper down to earth Yorkshireman who always reply’s to you, Top guy 👍
Give them a story about watching poets corner fc (pub team) from Nottingham! U took me when i was younger to watch a game in Liverpool! 👊🏻
Love listening to Big Norm, never really knew much about him when he played, but every interview I have seen him give, he is very funny with good timing...
It seems like everybody who was around at the time has there own Cloughie impression, but Norms is one of the best, he also does a decent Frank Clark impression
This was brilliant but the amount of ads were painful🙄
County isn't the other side of the city its the other side of the river a few hundred yards away
So which ghetto blaster story is true, the smashed version with Clough walking into Wimbledons changing room or the extension lead version?
Cropperrrrrr! proper youth!
John Sheridan was a cracking player
Brilliant Psychology off Clough . "Get in first" . Like a litter of Piglets the Runt's get left behind .
He is making a fortune from all theae pod casts lol
Can someone explain where the name Shithouse comes from? I have heard a few of his podcasts and never heard an explanation for this nickname.
Brian Clough being Brian Clough is our guess
@@SuperstarSpeakers Thank you. Just out of curiosity really. I can understand Barnsley and Imbecile but didn't have a clue about Shithouse.
@@gatsbygoodwood2575 Thank you.
I won’t call ya shit house cause Barbara here
Did crossley ever get a cap?
3 England U21 and 8 Wales Caps
@@FozzQuaker thanks guy .he's a good n... 👍
@@DungeonTV100 Although I'm not a Forest fan, I absolutely love Big Norm...
No airs and graces, comes across as a man of the people, very funny...
And he does the best Brian Clough impression, he also does a good Frank Clark impression too 😁
@@FozzQuaker haha me too, I'm man city.. I think it's the contrast to modern ballers and their lack of charisma.. times have changed so much! All the best to ya💙👊
Cloughie on Agents:- Was something like 'Imagine a player going into Bob Shanklys office with his agent present...Bob would have punched him and I would have got hold of him while Bob punched him'
Cloughie on how good he was 'I'm not the best manager in the world, but I'm in the top 1'
Don't send me flowers when I'm dead, if you like me, send them to me while I'm alive...
I could go on all day about Cloughie...
If there was a Mount Rushmore of great football characters it would be Brian Clough, Bobby Robson, Alex Ferguson and I can't think of a 4th character atm
Whos Bob Shankly ?
@@SkidSolo32 Not being funny or cheeky...
Seriously, you don't know Bob Shankly???
@@FozzQuaker Never heard of him, is he the brother of Bill ?
@@SkidSolo32 Haha...I feeling a fucking tit now 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Got the names mixed up...
I must have been thinking about both Bob Paisley and Bill Shankly at the same time
Cloughie was a proper set in his ways old time manager, you did things his way or you didn't do it...
He was pretty much Nottingham Forests version of Josip Broz Tito, do something wrong by him and your fucked, but was still very popular despite ruling with an iron fist
'Ere ShitHouse!
I’m
never played in champions league
He should have bit more respect for Wales
The story of the Sunday League game doesn't add up. Crossley says it was after a Saturday FA cup game against Coventry that Clough told him to be at his house on Sunday morning. The 3-2 win over Coventry was a League Cup tie on a Wednesday plus Forest had a League game at home to Arsenal on the Sunday of the so called Sunday League game. I supose it's possible Crossley could have played on the Sunday morning as he didn't play against Arsenal. Amnesia or embellishment?
Did you know that off the top of your head mate or have you googled it? Heard this story a few times on different podcasts and I love it, so I hope you’re wrong ha
Forest also played Coventry in a league game (on a saturday) just a week or two after the cup tie. It was 32 years ago, so I suspect he's just misremembering a few of the specific details.
Probably a story with a few facts re-arranged. Dean Saunders told a hilarious stiry too. Overall true probably and it matters not if not entirely accurate.
💩 house ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The irony of talking about forest in the play offs and anything can happen.Oh dear a big o.g after spending 263 days in the play off positions to then drop out in the final minutes of the last game
Just like you lot did last season!
@@captainslog6739 according to you lot you had won the league by september as per usual lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 When you were last in the prem mark crossley was still in his 20s by 2 months. He's 52 next june
This aged well.
Mark is a great speaker and orator, but the interviewer ....!🤷♂️
Ashamed of your Barnsley accent. I'm from Grimey and think it's sad mate.. Watch Kes mate n be proud..Bet tha dunt reply
Mark Crossley is a properly decent bloke. One of the most down to earth people going.
I'm a Baggies fan but I have a huge respect for Forest, and am addicted to these Cloughie stories.
