It's a tribute to the Clough family that despite the fame of his father Nigel Clough was so well brought up and grew into a very good player and, more importantly, top bloke. I'm not a Forest fan, but I always liked the cut of Nigel Clough's jib.

Imagine living in the shadow of the greatest manager to have never managed England, and perhaps the greatest manager of all time. As a striker, his dad too was in another universe, and yet Nigel succeeded where most would fail. He remains one of the most loyal employees and nicest blokes you would ever meet. Great interview! As a Chelsea fan, I can say without hesitation... Up the Forest!!!

I love these "My Forest Story". And I'm a Man United fan. Great production.
I met Nigel at Oldham vs Burton late 2019 and he told me how his Dad "liked that 4-0 win a lot" when his team destroyed us at Old Trafford in 77.
    "I remember that"
    We laughed.
    Lovely bloke.

I think he's a genuinely nice fella and it was a shame it didnt go a bit better for him at Anfield even though he was far from a failure. Its impossible for him to emulate his Dad but he deserves a place in the game as a manager. His Dad tought him well as a human being first and foremost.

Great to see this, and interesting to hear Nigel's view point on the FA cup final, and Roger Milford's appalling refereeing, and he's completely right. In trying to be the player's friend, he ruined Forest's cup final but more significantly, Paul Gascoigne's career. There are two referees I still despise even today, one is Roget Milford and the other is the ref in the Anderlecht game, who took a bribe.

He had big norm playing in a sunday league team the day after his debut. Imagine that, you've got dalglish, Barnes and Rush coming at you on the saturday and then you're playing amongst broken bottles and dog shit on the sunday.....just incase beating liverpool got you thinking like you were the man......bump, there you go son, thats what your back to if you ever lose your head over this big time stuff.
