Changed the Transmission Fluid for a VW Tiguan 2018, 8Spd
I purchased a kit of parts from blue parts, it was very convenient since they sell you all the parts needed to change the fluid, filter, gasket and pump to put the new fluid back.
or you can find them directly from the VW dealership parts, just make sure you have all necessary parts and tools to do the service.

The Transmission fluid is an element that must be changed, even when the manufacturer says that is not needed, as you can see in the video, the fluid was too dirty at 75k miles, and in theory it got serviced around "68k" by the VW Dealer, charging me around 450, and it appears that the service was not performed due to the color of the fluid.
if you don't change the fluid, the estimation lifetime of the transmission of your vehicle is about 120k, and it can be increased to double if you do change fluid and filter every 30k.

You should measure the fluid you take out and put the same amount back in. Don’t just assume it needs whatever the dealer of parts store sells you. Too much fluid will destroy your transmission.

Can you advise how the transmission is performing since the service? I have a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas 3.6L and I am looking to buy the Blauparts kit and perform the same service myself. My current mileage is 70,000 so about the same as you.

I didn't notice any change on the performance of the vehicle, the only thing I noticed, the operation of engine temperature uses to be around 219F, and no is around 206F, I'm not 100% if something related with, I haven't changed the engine oil, so may be the transmission fluid change helped improve to temperature operation.

what's the recommended mileage for a transmission fluid change? My 2019 SEL Tiguan has 61k miles and the dealership is been telling me to change the fluid since 55k miles, is that too low of a mileage?

@@edoardovitale4578 after look how bad was mine at 73k miles I even would recommend every 40k miles, it is a transmission with too much going on
