Some really nice equipment, those drills look expensive. European farmers use every meter of their land. Really takes good land management and skilled operators to handle tractors in such tight conditions. You produce excellent videos, thanks for sharing them with us.
Great set up. The only thing I'd like to see if it were my kit is something to break the ground the 8345 rolls over before it gets to the harrow, maybe a single leg set at a 12" depth mounted before harrow. Otherwise, this is kinda my dream scenario, to be part of in any way. Great video, great job, great kit! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That’s called clay.. very heavy dutch clay. Once we needed 240 hp for our 3 furrow plow.. Look on ‘flying pixels photography’ and search for the 2 fendt black beauties.. thats 1km from my house
This is an amazing operation. Here in East Central Georgia, USA, wheat planting most likely would consist of a tractor pulling a grain drill with hoppers on the top filled by emptying bags into the hoppers. Closing would consist of drag chains on the ground behind the drill. The land probably would have been disked before the plant operation and also would not have been bottom plowed. What is the width of the planting drill as it makes a pass through the field? Feet of course for me. :)
Like I said it's an amazing operation. There are of course John Deere tractors here the size of the 8345 but I've not ever seen a tracked one. I will ask the farmer who farms my Uncle's land why we don't see tracked tractors and also has he ever considered one. The local John Deere dealer probably has 30 or more big row crop tractors on his lot but none of them have tracks. That's interesting.
4.07 What task does that machine/operation have? Is it to cover the edge of the field that the rubber-tracked tractor did not cover? Is the machine different so it can cover the non-ploughed edge?
YensR Yeah, it is a spading machine. Some of the larger farms use them to work the edges of the fields since they are a little bit easier to maneuver on smaller areas. They are also used a lot in very wet conditions because the machine 'eats' itself forward so the tractor does not need much grip or pulling power.
koolraapje Interesting, thank you very much for the explanation. I've always kind of wondered how the edges are made to look so nice on many fields, now I know!
WOW!!! Nice working 😉
Wat een mooie shots zeg, vooral dat de drone rond de rups traktor vliegt. Echt top.

Great video and just the right amount of power to keep up with the drill. Sub-Soil looks so rich in the Netherlands 😃

Wat voor video bewerkings programma gebruik je?
En weer een donders mooie video!
Great video. Lovely equipment too. Why use an amazone front hopper with a lemken drill on the rear? Thanks.
Price I guess? If it works, it works

jbmbanter Looks like 6 meters or almost 20 ft.

jbmbanter you don’t see many drills of this width in the netherlands tho, mostly 3m of farmers who do it themselves

zajebiste.Ciekawe kiedy do nas dojdzie taka technika.
Pozdrawiam
Do you use a drone
+zombiekid_ 3 yes he does
The only thing common to your operation and ours would be the John Deere tractors. 'Nothing runs like a Deere."
It's a relief that something American made is recognized internationally. It feels like it's not very common anymore
I feel like you could pull a much larger planter with those tractors... Could be wrong though...
Planter or plow?
I think it’s very heavy clay so going bigger means getting stuck..
Hallo, sollte ich die Schule für diesen Job beenden, wenn ich glaube, ich arbeite in solchen Unternehmen
