15 MCU Characters Who Are Way Stronger In The Comics

- Nobody’s stronger than the Hulk, well, except for the comic book version, that is. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is riddled with strong and powerful characters, plucked straight out of comic book pages and adapted for our television and movie screens. As fanatics have grown familiar with the Multiverse and alternate timelines in all forms of Marvel media, over the years, we have also grown accustomed to variations of our favorite superheroes and villains as well. Naturally, with a myriad of interpretations for most characters, some for their abilities and power-levels have been altered and changed in different universes, and the MCU is no different.
In some instances, the MCU versions of characters simply haven’t had the chance to be explored and fleshed out as deeply as the comic book versions have. With almost a hundred years of stories told in comics, it’s no surprise that a lot of characters are stronger and more powerful in the books than their movie counterparts. On the other hand, with variants in the Multiverse and Secret Wars coming in Phase 6, maybe it’s not too late to see more powerful versions of these characters on screen.

@avigghn Sahai its to late for that we where close to that in ragnorak it had the story line and was on the same planet but they made thor strong and hulk a side character in that even losing to thor without a hammer
Thor is also WAY stronger and more serious in the comics. In the MCU he's just a straight up comic relief.
He’s a dope now...in The Dark World he didn’t command much presense but he was ENTERTAINING 🔥 in his first two appearances...and Infinity War of course

To be fair in the beginning he was very serious, but unlikeable. However Thor 4 went too far when the comics they are based are quite serious and personal for Thor
Forgot about Drax. He was made specifically to kill Thanos, and did so by punching his heart out through his back and out his chest.

@@Vincesjones He was referring potential as a character since that in powers she already reached the top and also has already made peace with her dark past becoming a hero again, the only thing that is missing are her feats which I think might show how is Wanda having full power. She's insanely powerful like that I don't know why you stans want more and more for the sake of comparing it to other characters in terms of power.
Nope, he's clearly referred as both characters and her powers. Wanda never been shown her full power either, not even in HOM and darkhold omega shown her full power.
She's still not reached her full potential.
Thor also got really nerfed in the MCU compared to the comics. And he is still really powerful in the MUC, so that just shows his strength in the comics

They should do a Odin movie... it'd obviously be a movie from the past and not directly involved with the current phases but it'd make an awesome 2 or 3 part mini series of movies

To be fair though, quicksilver was still technically an amateur with his powers before he died. He would’ve gotten a lot stronger just as the Scarlet witch got better.

Do the part 2. In the comics Hank Pym growing as Giant-Man/Goliath, Hawkeye using Pym Particles as Goliath, Thanos, Thor, Loki, there are others.
Thor suffered the worst nerf in mcu history, compared to his comic book counterparts strength he's a shell of his self. His power scares Wanda and dwarfs that of captain marvel and the sentury.
This is unlike hulk his base version is weak he gets stronger with anger. At least he should
Just No. I don't know about Wanda but it's been stated on panel in many comics that Sentry is omnipotent, which means he can do anything .he wishes. In fact other than his mental illnesses he has no weakness.

I would also add the collector (but that could go toe to toe with the grandmaster) and taskmaster since in the MCU he has to watch these tapes and not copy each character's tactics instantly
Gamora may be stronger in the comics but Gamora holding that massive weapon on her shoulder as she shoots nebula with it in guardians 2 shows how bloody strong MCU Gamora actually is

I think you forgot dr. Strange, especially when you compare the MCU version to the pre retcon Strange. Aaaand Thor and Thanos. They are more powerful on every aspect in the comics
It's actually pronounced "ether". The a in "aether" came from the abandoned letter "Æ" and isn't used in its pronunciation.

@@AndrewDukes in terms of power, the hulk is the last resort because he is a force of nature that can only really be steered in the right direction. They find ways to make him calmer yes, but as a result he becomes infinitely less powerful as the last impressive thing we see one of the strongest beings in the universe do is fight fenris in 2017. But the biggest way they nerfed him was his character and it’s development. Bruce and the hulk have an extremely interesting relationship that is evident in nearly every media he appears in. But it is seemingly non existent in the mcu. They only even talk to each other once in the entire franchise and now he is just big green banner with no hulk in sight. This is a character that has been throughout arguably the most trauma of anyone in the mcu and we don’t see it ever really get addressed. It just kind of goes away. And , real quick, the hulk is more than just “big angry dumb green man” he is a little immature but that is because more than anything the hulk just wants to be left alone but is alway dragged into conflict by the world around him and banner. But why bother with any of that when we can have him dab and give Paul Rudd a taco

They definitely nerfed most of the characters so that the whole thanos worked perfectly it would’ve been cool to see a lot of them being more powerful tho especially hulk and quicksilver
you forgot Thor and how he literally one shot Galactus twice and has the ability to destroy universes and even stood up against the universe consuming black winter and defeating him by using Galactus corps as a bomb also he defeated mangog and Thanos back to back by himself and destroys planets like their glass. Thor is sooo much more powerful in the comics

That's the problem with movies they have to dumb everyone down (including the hero's) to fit in to a 2 hour movie.
It really doesn't help that marvel is owned by Disney and they actually made villains family friendly like thanos, in an alternate ending he threw a severed captain Americas head but it was deemed unfriendly and scrapped.

The movies ruined Malkith in the comics Malkith is supposed to be the joker of the Thor universe and if Loki had no redeeming qualities it would’ve been interesting to see that version of Malkith in the movies
Drax the destroyer is one I noticed that is much stronger in the comics he came into being as Drax the destroyer for the purpose of destroying Thanos.
I'd say one who is sort of stronger in the MCU than comics would be captain Marvel though later in the comics gains her MCU levels of power and I think beyond though what I'm thinking of might be just one version of many

One thing to mention about Odin is we only saw the last 20 years of his life or so. Considering how long he lives he was basically on death's door the whole time. He was litteraly as far away from his prime as he could POSSIBLY be.
I’m still pissed about Gorr. I read the God Butcher comic just before Thor 4 came out and Gorr became my favourite villain and the MCU ruined him. They completely changed his design and made him more humanoid, they didn’t give the proper necrosword and it’s powers, and they gave him a purpose for being villain.
They also ruin entity debut in the MCU

*Many won't read this short essay because even though it's short for an essay, it's too long for a youtube essay. But those that will, will come out with more knowledge of facts which would have taken you weeks to read the needed reading of the source material to gain the knowledge written in a summary below.*
First off, I'm going to address the first statement in this video where the narrator says "nobody is stronger than the Hulk" that's completely false and there's undeniable source material to prove it, which comes from horse's mouth himself Stan Lee. When Stan Lee was asked through the decades and up to his passing, when asked about who was the strongest Marvel character in Marvel, he always and without missing a beat, answered "Thor". He then went on to say that he created the Thor character because he wanted a character that would rival the Hulk in strength and said what's stronger than a God, and the Thor character also brought extreme powers as a God and this helped him in creating more powerful villains, since he had the Thor character in the Marvel roster. Fact: Hulk vs Thor in comics: 18 stalemate fights, 5 fights won by Hulk and 8 fights won by Thor.
So we just not gonna talk about DRAXS

One of the best thing about dude is that he never takes credit for himself whan he achieves and something. He always respect us, the audience, and his team, and he always polite in all of his videos we congratulate ourselves this achievement more to come and everything to come

Comics are only appealing to a niche base of readers, granted that base is of a substantial size, but the movies are trying to get a bigger audience, an audience that is way beyondthe size of the fanbase. If they go fully comics accurate they will fully alienate alot of potential ticket buyers. Any counter argument has to remember show business is first and foremost a business. Profits are first.
