Since you always talk about the swimming jimmy so much, then could you please do a fly tying video for it, also if dont have sinking line or sink tips can you just add split shot 18inches up the line, or put sink fast on your tippit?
Ha! Thanks but he has no idea how to tie it. Think there are a few out there already anyways. Sink tip works best for sure but don't let that stop you if you don't have.
Do you have some tips on how to fish this fly, twitches or stripping it back in. Would be fishing for large and small mouth bass. Your videos are great for information for us new to fly fishing.

I can never get mine to sink. Even with a sink tip and some split shot. I love the action on it when I can get it down. But it requires a lot of work.
Are you using a very short leader off your sink tip? Something is not right there.
Mad River Outfitters I cut my leader down to about 5 feet. But I just bought some Maxima today based on the directions you guys left in an earlier video. I’m going to try it with that and see if I can get it down. Max I’ve only got it down about a foot with the SA Frequency Sink tip and split shot. And it sits on the water for a while before it sinks.
Get it good and wet before you even cast it. Also go with a 4' leader. That should help.
