New to elite, been playing on and off for a few months, and I just made my first foray outside the Bubble and into the choalsack nebula. It was a fun an interesting trip, almost died lol. Got a little too close for comfort when trying to fuel scoop. Ended up damaging my super cruise assist and assisted landing computer. So as to land at a Stanton the manual way. Cmdr. Obsidian Ant : Another Fine Video ! Thank you for sharing another delightful show of never before seen planets. I appreciate your video's and the time you take to make them and share them :-)
Oh, it's just awesome you continue this series dear @ObsidianAnt! Many players (especially the new ones) often aren't aware how many awesome and breathtaking places and moments Elite can provide, so IMHO this video is one of the MUST SHARE IMMEDIATELY ones ;-) Just a little bit of nitpicking: can it be that Mitterand Hollow actually doesn't have a day-night-cycle? From my observations on my last visit, it looked like the moon is locked towards the main light source, and the "night" is actually an eclipse caused by New Africa. ;-) Keep up your wonderful work Mr. Ant!
Fdev "we have discovered too many CMDR's having fun on unique planets and such. And as such have decided to remove them temporarily as we address the fun issue."
I want to thank you so much... finally there's an inspiring combination for the asp ship kit. Lately ive wanted to settle on the asp for regular use.. but there's just something about its hull shape which never satisfies. The raider kit isn't as good as the one on the corvette (which was the first good enough to buy imo) and until now the regular ship kit has looked woeful. Thank you!
Another good video Obsidian, it inspired me to visit Synuefe VM-D c15-10 planet A2. I flew down to the bottom of one of the gorges, 20km deep 300m wide. Unfortunately I couldn't find any stable terrain at the bottom to land on. A real dark and creepy experience. Highly recommended.
When I scan a system and see the cracks in a planet I get excited and rush over, but the geology is never as extreme as I’d like... that first planet looks awesome! I cannot wait to get out there and discover more!
I am out in the black scanning planets that have never been discovered and then mapping some of the interesting ones. If I land on one of these planets does the generation system have a chance of placing alien artifacts or guardian ruins or anything of a constructed nature?

Are we able to make suggestions? It would be really cool to see our planets in your videos. There's a beautiful system I have discovered on my way to colonia, and I'll put it in comments if you'd like.
I recently discovered two great ones past the galactic center. One system is a neutron star and I think it's a red dwarf, tightly orbiting each other. There are two planets very near that have spectacular views of both. I also found two ice planets with rings orbiting each other, and you can land on one. It's a pretty view. There is some amazing stuff in this game if you take the time to look. I keep hoping I'll find a massive Earth-like planet, but I'm beginning to think they didn't put that in this game.
