Mannnnnnnggg I'm from Pennsylvania moved to Oregon bought a 2005 BMW 325i with 165k miles and other than the few common oil leaks and coolant system leaks(Changed coolant system) These used cars over here on the West coast are just worth it.. No salt, very very little corrosion if none at all. It's just wild how much damage the East coast does to cars!
Just ordered a C310+ for my 2003 E46. Hope I can at least read the DCS and amber brake warning codes. Thanks Nathan , been subbed to your channel for quite some time.
Greetings Nathan, I purchased a C310 scan tool to guide me through problems with a 2006 X5 3.0i . Your video is the only instructional aid to guide me to finding the SRS air bag issues, thank you for the level of detail in your videos. Is there anywhere I can see the depth of functions to best use the C310? Tried the Creator site but it has almost no valuable content for new users. Thx George
that piece that popped off the black nipple on throttle boot..WHAT is that connected to it? I dont have anything connected to that niple on that boot on my 2008 BMW 328i ..am I missing something that connects there? thanks
Thoughts three codes usually stand for a connection problem at abs unit, it's plug and play so you unplug it and plug it back in, three times is what I do unplug , plug in, for connectivity, and boom fixed... sometimes it's just the rear abs wheel sensor that needs a shimmy cause it was always too close to the axle ring gears on most all models, engineering at its best🔧🏁🤗🌵🏆🇺🇸☕
Hi Nathan, I think your videos are great. I'm from the Netherlands I have a bmw e46 328i from 1998. I've read with Bmw / Mini Creator 310+ scantool. I get the following error codes: 76 electromagnetic or mechanics, influence on wheel-speed signals, 98 ASC button, 71 ABS pump motor fault. I have reset the codes and then the ABS and ASC light turn off and half an hour drive again. What could it be? I would like to hear from you, Neal
Your 310 is very fast. Mine is painfully slow. It re tries every communication code every time I access something. Is there a way to set it permanatley?
hi mate, will this tool scan a 2001 bmw e39 touring 525d?. i have a problem with my rear air suspension, i have a dash warning light on for the self levelling rear suspension, i changed both rear air bags as they were old anyway, i then changed the suspensions compressor valve block as when i put it under water it had a tiny air leak, i also changed 1 rear level sensor as the arm was broken- but after all that i still have the suspension self levelling warning light on the dash!!!....do you know, will this scanner scan rear air suspension on a 2001 e39 touring 525d ?. do u know if it will turn off the dash warning light??. will the scan tool re calibrate the rear air suspension or read only, any help/advise apppreciated-many thx dave in cold uk....
Hi Nathan, great vid as always. Just wondering about those ABS pump motor and CAN bus codes you got. Using the same scanner via the 20pin port and getting the same codes but 1) I can't seem to get the P codes to come up which the blokes on the e46 forum I'm on say they need to give advice 2) is there a way to determine if it is indeed the ABS pump itself or the electronic module? I'm running a 1998 e46 323i Auto RHD and in Australia. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers
Hey, great video. I have the same diagnostic device. My E90 has gone into transport mode meaning the climate control won't work properly. The i310 can see there is a problem but won't give me the option to clear the fault. All it says is; "please send the data to customer service" followed by lines of alpha numeric digits. Any ideas on how to sort this problem? Thanks.
+papa2k Ok so when you first plug in the scanner on the main screen it says cbs reset, click that and you will have to turn off the key for 20 sec and then the screen will say cleared, see if that gets it back up so you can diagnose it.
Those rear bearings can be a bitch to remove. mine took about 2 hours with a slide hammer to get hub out. the rest was cake. It was also a 323i. I do them on the car rather than use the big press.
That was the plan, I have access to a bearing puller that can be used on the car, I don't know why they didn't do it like the e39 and have a bolt on cartridge those are so much easier to deal with
I purchased the Creator C310+, it does not communicate with my 2000 BMW 323I, it says that it cannot communicate, asks me to turn ignition switch on ( already on ) I am using the round adaptor for pre 2001 BMWs. I do not think this tool does anything close to what the sellers claim it does. It only reads engine codes and I am not sure how well or if it reads or resets anything, I bought it because they claimed that it did read and reset ABS as well as ESP system...That is the furthest from the truth, the tool is a joke.
Seems to communicate for all other functions with the exception of ABS and VSC, no problem with engine scans/resets, everything else I try to do I continue to get the same error message.
That's a frustration for sure man.I was a bit skeptical to buy it too (C310+) but it works on mine 97 e39 520ia. it even diagnosed abs-wheel sensor fault. Maybe Those pins in round obd connector got dirty? If so try to gently scrape them a bit and vacuum the debree out ?
I have the same BMW 2000 323i, so should i buy this scanner or not? I have the ABS, DSC, Brake lights on. Also, getting an SES light and the car is shaking. Where do you buy that adaptor cable for the pre-2001 BMW? In addition, if i am to use that round 20pin adaptor under the hood, then what is the OBD2 connector under the driver side dash used for?

Great info! what's the difference between a c310 n a c310+ plus?

DOES THIS SCAN THE MODULES ON A BMW? LIKE FOOTWELL BODY MODULE AND DOES IT LET U REPROGRAM THEM? THANKS

If there will be some problems with ignition coil, will it show up? and which one? i mean on which cylinder?
thank you for your video )
Does creator work with other cars or it's just strictly BMWs? and does it work with newer model bmws F series, 2, 4 series as well?

In the end curious how did you solve the air bag issues? my e46 is showing 04 passenger seat stage 1 and i am not able to clear code with the c310?
It was unplugged from the seat belt buckle under the seat by the center console
Do you know if this can reset the transmission?
Yes it can

Did you ever figure it out?
@@richarda4115 nah. I ended up just replacing the module (not the pump) with one off (same part number) and reprogramming it with PACarsoft

+Nathan's DIY Garage. thanks. I'll try that now
Let me know what hppens
just getting a msg that says "this device does not support this function"
+Nathan's DIY Garage hey, no luck unfortunately, any other suggestions?
Usually those pumps fail because motor brushes wear out.
+Temlertti I guess that can happen but usually what happens is the circuit board gets damaged from the heat from the exhaust.

roger knight sounds like you could have a bad one or have a can bus issue with your car
