I totally agree with everything you said about staff in the NHS Elliot. The majority of people are very loyal to their jobs & the patients that they are treating & looking after & they are angels, but there are a few who are in the wrong profession. I remember back in 2019 when my father was in a residential/care home & was paying at the time £4,000 a month, i overheard a member of staff refer to my father as a 'nuisance' 😢 I moved him into a wonderful nursing home not long after that, who were able to give him the attention, care, love & support that he needed during the last 7 months of his life bless him. These members of staff are called 'carers', but not all are 'caring' people & are obviously in the wrong job. I'm so glad that you are recovering Elliot & back home with your beloved Matt, cats & your loving families. Thank you so much for taking the time to post your vlog. Take care & bye for now xxxx
The way you have worded this response would lead people to believe that the care home staff were working in the NHS. Was this the case or was it a private nursing home? If so it would be highly unlikely that the staff were employed by the NHS. Staff in the NHS often have to deal with obnoxious patients in very trying circumstances where they are working long hours and some can become a little tetchy at times. Yes! There are people working in the NHS who shouldn’t be there but those are very few and far between. I challenge anybody to spend a week in a nurses unit working with entitled, ungrateful patients. Not a job I would do and I believe a majority. The issue with the NHS is not uncaring staff but rather unfounded government support.
I'm so so sorry you have been very poorly, your so brave Elliot and strong. It's lovely to hear you had the best support from Matt and your family. I'm sure they are very proud of you. Take it easy and look after yourself and don't feel pressured with social media your health is more important. I'm so glad you are getting better. Sending you both love and hugs x
So sorry for everything you've had to go through Elliott. It's so good to see you back home again. Thanks so much for the update. Wishing you a full recovery
So pleased to see you home and on the mend Elliot! I know exactly how difficult it can be when you’re in hospital for an extended period of time…. I had to spend just over 3 weeks in hospital during the last couple of weeks of my cancer treatment. There’s nothing like finally getting home to snuggle with your furbabies and sleep in your own bed uninterrupted! Make sure you listen to your body and rest! Don’t go overdoing things just because you’re home! 🥰
So are so right about healing better at home. When my husband suffered a major stroke, he was in hospital for 5 weeks, and I had to argue with the doctor & insist that I was taking my husband home there and then. And I did get my way. The healing began at home. So very pleased to see you back home, Elliot.
Hi Elliot, sending you lots of healing energy. Your story has really shocked me to be honest. So glad you are home and recovering in peace. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery. Take care 💙🤍🩵

OMgosh Elliott, how devastating. The distress & uncertainty of your health & NHS journey. I’ve been following you for some time, and leave comments to your regulars. On this however, I really want to wish you a speedy recovery. Virtual hug from Australia 🇦🇺
My word Elliot. I’m so glad you are home and on the mend. I know we don’t know each other, but strangely, caring so much for the welfare of a fellow human being whose videos actually really put me in a place of peace and calm. I was hospitalised in my early 20’s. Actually I was sectioned. At the time I was undiagnosed autistic, but had wrongfully been assessed as a suicide risk and had no choice but to go into hospital. It’s so scary being in that place where you’re totally not in control of your own life, surrounded by not very well people and the horrible clinical environment. I will say, going through trials such as these really awaken inner areas of perspective, spirituality (not necessarily religious) and resets the senses. Nothing is taken for granted. I look forward to seeing you bounce back in these following weeks. Also, how awesome is Matt?! What a keeper.
Elliot, I had to look up for this video since it would not show up like your videos used to. OMG! Thank G-d you went to the hospital, and now you're home getting better! Pneumonia is not something to take for granted. Mat is the best, and you're blessed to be with such a loving family. Keep taking great care of yourself. Much love to you guys❤❤
I am so glad you are on the recovery side of your illness. I am so proud of you for tolerating so many tests. I know so many of us were very worried about you. Continuing to send you healing vibes and prayers and of course much love and hugs.
Hi Elliot. I just found your channel and subbed. What a rotten experience you have had. I am glad you are feeling better and are continuing to recover. Your cats are beautiful. I am the Foster Co-ordinator for a Cat charity. I currently have 6 foster cats which the total number of fosters I have had to 78! sending best wishes from Deepest, Darkest Devon xxx
Simply brilliant to see you back on our screens and on the road to recovery! Wishing you all the best on your road to recovery! Well done to your support crew too! 👏👍
Goodness. What a time you’ve had Elliot. Have been checking for you to pop up again as was concerned as to what was making you look so poorly. I never slept in hospital each time I was in to have my babies. I also took a fan as am a hot body 😁 So pleased you are back and on the road to recovery. You, Matt and the kitties have been missed. 😊
I’m so thankful that you’re on the mend, although you had quite the ordeal! Being home is the best recovery place as I agree there is no rest to be had in the hospital! ❤ Take it slow, drinks lots of tea and feel the good vibes being sent to you from all of us
Bless you, my darling. I wish you was speedy recovery. I hope you get better very very soon. All my love to you and your darling partner. A friend of your channel
It is quite sobering to go through such an ordeal, coming face to face basically with your own mortality and I am glad to see you home now and on the road to recovery. Listen to your body, Elliot, and don't try to get back to normal too quickly....pneumonia is a very serious condition and you need plenty of rest and recuperation. Wishing you and Matt all the best ❤
SO good to see and hear from you again. Especially from your lovely home. I agree, hospitals aren't a good place for rest and healing. Especially if you are put in a 4 bed ward.
Oh my goodness I was away for a little over a week and had no idea you were suffering this way! I’m wishing you a speedy recovery and that you can get off the anabiotics as soon as possible I am so sorry you have gone through this. Much love ❤
God Bless you Elliot🙏💚❤ I felt the same when I got sick, lost jobs and they NHS removed my kidney😱 at 58 my 1st ever encounter of Surgery! 2 days after I took myself for a short walk out, 6 weeks after I was back to 12 hr night shifts, because Ive worked in healthcare it was so important for ME to get better. Its in our darkest moments we are strongest, its survival mode. Well done Elliot onwards and upwards❤ Im almost 64 now still working 12 hr night shifts and healthy albeit with 1 kidney💚🙏
Awe so glad you are home and on the road to recovery, thanks for all the details and update, nice to hear it from a true experience, both you and Matt are awesome and thank you Matt for the vlogging you did and for keeping Elliot topped up with tea 😊. Take it easy and sending hugs your way
It's so wonderful to see you back home! Bless you, you truly went through a distressing time.... Rest up and take care of yourself. Sending love and prayers to you all. ❤
Glad you are on the mend. I had pneumonia in May this year. I felt really poorly but wasn't hospitalised. It took a while to feel better. Thank you for your update. I have missed and worried about you 😊
So very glad you are on the mend!! Sending you my love! What a terrible ordeal. Pneumonia is so scary. My daughter had it and was hospitalized when she was 10 years old - it was eye opening for me how hard it was to get the proper diagnosis and treatment for her at the time. Get some rest and don’t overdo anything Elliot. 💗💗💗
so glad you're back, elliot! you've been missed, but it's good to hear you're on the recovery! all the best wishes, take your time and one step at a time 🖖🙏
I really agree what you were saying about the NHS had my own experience some good but also some really shouldn't do the job .I'm so pleased your home together your chuchies will make a real fuss of you ,sending healing hugs Elliot take care 😊❤
Hey Elliot! So happy you are on your way to full recovery! I want to mention one important thing my doctor told me, since I also am a big fan of tea: Tea does dry the body up and we must not forget to drink a good quantity of regular water daily. Talk soon!
Oh, Elliot, I'm so sorry to hear of your illness. How scary! I could tell immediately that you had lost at least 10 pounds. And that partner of yours...he is just so supportive and wonderful. And by the way, don't either of you ever feel obligated to post videos if you are sick or unable. We certainly understand if you are unwell. Please rest up and enjoy the most wonderful holiday season ever!! xoxoxo
Omg I have had lo5s of hospital stays over last few years and I echo your sentiments completely. Some of the staff are definitely not there as a vocation anymore. I had to try and recover from spinal surgery whilst the hospital ward I was on had scaffolding outside builders and the noise that goes with it. I agree about the lack of privacy ❤❤ it's appalling not a healing environment more like a factory floor these days.
I'm so glad you're on the mend! Listen to the doctors and don't overdo it or you'll end up back in the hospital! I spent a week in the hospital, half in ICU and half in a normal room. The nurses were the same, so.e good some maybe not so. You really can't use a hospital to catch up on your sleep in the US, either. See you next week, prayers for your continued recovery! ❤
So sorry you are ill Elliot. I am glad that you are on the mend. Take it easy. Don't rush to get out there. You need rest and relaxation. A little tip. If you have any kind of mucus producing issue it is best to avoid dairy. Stay strong. I will say a prayer or two for you.
So glad to see you back again 'Elliot and that you're making a slow recovery. Remember to listen to your body, it will tell you when to rest. Make sure you get lots of cat cuddles, they are such good healers. Well done Matt for vlogging as well. Big hugs to you both and the cats x
Glad that you are doing a lot better! My husband and I just returned from a western Caribbean cruise. I came down with the upper respiratory infection. He is now just getting something. He is resting and I am starting to feel better myself. Things like this does give us a whole different outlook on life. Glad that your starting to feel better. One day at a time.
So good to have you back home and getting better. 👍👍 to Matt for stepping in on the vlog, taking care of the freezer delivery, and keeping up at home. I was so proud of him standing his ground on the freezer dimensions. Elliot, you are so blessed to have him and your family for support. Take your time and get healthy. ❤❤❤
Best wishes to you Elliot; you've been through a lot. I have a chronic lung condition and get frequent chest infections, including pneumonia for which it's strong antibiotics. I take a good quality probiotic daily to help my tummy. I hope your recovery goes well and make sure you get plenty of rest. 😊
Hope you guys feeling better. I'm so glad I caught up with your vlog as I've been poorly in the last few days just the same as you struggling to breathe no energy, going for a chest xray tomorrow. You try keep going but totally floored with the energy 🙈. You two take care x
Hugs, glad you're home now. I am sure the kitties are over the moon you are home. Remember kitty love is very healing. Wow that is not the way to loose weight, my dear. Joking. Try and heal and get all better, and please listen to your body from now on and don't delay if you feel bad. Eat treats and other good food til you are better. Let Matt treat you a bit. Hugs! I am sorry you had a reaction to the antibiotics, i so understand, as i am allergic to most of them, penicillin in any form will cause me to go into severe shock within an half hour, only the really expensive ones I am not as allergic to, so I try not to get sick at all.
Aww bless you Elliot, what a time you've had. Glad to hear you're on the mend slowly and your back with your beloved Matt. Take care, lots of love to you both 🎉 ❤ xxx
Elliot I just wanted to say that I've been following your vlogs for a while. I lost interest for a while because your royal family one just became a little bit too much for me but I wanted to thank you for sharing your NHS experience. I'm a doctor in the NHS and there were days I used to come home and just cry at how awful the day had been. Thanks for shedding light on the NHS and I'm glad you're out of hospital and well. Best wishes
Thank you! On the whole the NHS is an amazing institution full of very caring people! However some bad apples do exist and there are certainly improvements that can be made that in my opinion are very simple to implement! 🙏❤️
@@ElliotNMatt you should definitely discuss this with your local hospital. I'm sure they'd appreciate it. we as front line staff have been shouting and screaming about the lack of funding, staffing, resources, basic healthcare but it feels sometimes that it falls on deaf ears...
I had pneumonia the week the queen died! It was horrendous. I was brodering on having to go to hospital too... Poor, poor Elliot! I am so glad you are feeling better now❤
So pleased you are on the road to recovery and Matt has got over this dreadful infection. On a return from a holiday in the far east a few years ago l found myself in hospital in a coma for two weeks. Lucky for me my partner is a Doctor and l knew so many of the staff because l worked in medicine. One day a really awful nurse asked me why all of the hospital medical staff were visiting me , l said l don't know what you mean. She later found out and her attitude changed overnight, she removed my catheter and hurt me ,l put this in my report. I'm not in the habit of writing reports but was asked by the management, l don't think it was the report they wanted but it needed saying from a patient point of view. The food was awful, l was given a prawn sandwich, l'm allergic to sea food. I became a very good friend with the local takeaways. Just one thing Elliot the curtains are left open on a ward so the staff can see you. Unfortunately death in the hospital is unavoidable but there are written protocols which need to be followed. Just concentrate on getting better it's pointless looking at the past, it will serve no good.
So glad you are on the mend, just subscribed. Had to say this :), I am hopeful you have good health going forward elliot. Great job on the vlugs still mixture of matt and elliot
Oh Elliott! It’s so wonderful to see you again and to hear you are on the mend. I totally agree with you on the matter of realizing what’s important in life when your own mortality becomes a question. Been there myself. I sincerely hope you have the best Christmas ever this year!!!!
Sounds like you've been through the wars but glad you're on the mend. Best wishes to both of you and love every minute of the lead up to Christmas 🎄 xxx

The nurses were the same, so.e good some maybe not so. You really can't use a hospital to catch up on your sleep in the US, either. See you next week, prayers for your continued recovery! ❤
Elliot, I’m so glad you are home now, but please take care, and rest. I hope your recovery is a quick one, and you feel better very soon. ❤
So sorry you are ill Elliot. I am glad that you are on the mend. Take it easy. Don't rush to get out there. You need rest and relaxation. A little tip. If you have any kind of mucus producing issue it is best to avoid dairy. Stay strong. I will say a prayer or two for you.
Glad you are home Elliot, hope you are fully recovered soon x
So glad to see you back again 'Elliot and that you're making a slow recovery. Remember to listen to your body, it will tell you when to rest. Make sure you get lots of cat cuddles, they are such good healers. Well done Matt for vlogging as well. Big hugs to you both and the cats x
Oh Elliot you've been through a lot. So glad to see you at home with Matt and the kitties.Take care sending ❤ love
Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤
Feel better! So good to see you!
Welcome back ❤ we’ve missed you ✌️ so happy you’re getting back to yourself, keep on fighting ❤
Well, really glad that you’re feeling better and that you’re home. 💐💐
Take care. We love you.
Hope you guys feeling better. I'm so glad I caught up with your vlog as I've been poorly in the last few days just the same as you struggling to breathe no energy, going for a chest xray tomorrow. You try keep going but totally floored with the energy 🙈. You two take care x
Yes that’s how I felt initially! Make sure they test that it hasn’t tipped over into pneumonia. If it has make sure they test what type!
Good to see you. Hope you get better soon. Miss seeing you both. Sending love.
I'm sure they'd appreciate it. we as front line staff have been shouting and screaming about the lack of funding, staffing, resources, basic healthcare but it feels sometimes that it falls on deaf ears...
oh dear Elliot how frightening,I really missed you and was worried for you both, take care, love hugsx
Good to see you back , you were missed❤😊😊
I had pneumonia the week the queen died! It was horrendous. I was brodering on having to go to hospital too... Poor, poor Elliot! I am so glad you are feeling better now❤
Wishing you a very speedy recovery! ❤
Hospitals are ok if you need them. I spent almost a year in hospital. I agree with you on the staff.
Please take care of yourself. Sending you prayers and healing strength ❤. Thank you, Matt, for keeping us updated. You're a wonderful person.
So glad you’re ok now Elliot. Was thinking of you ❤. Rest up xx
