Yeah gun order is pretty important, you can have almost all combos be powerful ones, instead of random until you get red white, that's a pretty big power leak.
Aphelios on low ammo is def not the best case to fight. I think every aphelios main can tell you that he died multiple times, because of the automatic weapon switch after your weapon gets empty. Most times (not every time) your ammo is low, you try to get it empty before the fight starts or you will feel like a reloading jhin between the enemies.
@@maximfatheadz2347 nope, if you have 2 low ammo weapons you can press Q 4 times in a row and that'll always be busted even if you don't even know what ability you're using
I haven't watched the video yet but Aphelios is FAR simpler than people make him out to be, since you just have to on-the-fly adjust your playstyle to your weapon combo.
that's only partly true. it's still by far the most mentally taxing champion, since you permanently have to keep track of ammo, available combos (including swaps), and possibly even queue reordering if you know you messed up your rotation. all of that on top of being a very squishy and immobile marksman. so yeah, aphelios is mechanically simple, but i doubt there are many champions that get to his level of mental book keeping
Aphelios is still the most complex champion in the game, with keeping track of weapons and what every weapon does along with their passives, and needing perfect positioning as well. He's just mechanically simple, but his skill ceiling is the highest for any adc for sure.
keep in mind, your white ulti also gives chakram stacks. so use red q, switch to white and use your ulti. you will have 10 chakrams, potentially you will get a second red q cast giving you even more dps. i have turned so many 3v2 ganks like this, its actually crazy
I like to run the following rotation: delete red first then green, then you have blue purple which is good tier at wave clear. Deplete those at the same time and you first get white red. Then deplete red so you have white green (another amazing combo) and then delete White, then green. Once on the blue purple they and deplete both those at the same time ideally to continue cycle. Some good guides out there really dive into what each guns ability does but the key is always the off gun. Maybe fun decided how an ability is applied and the off gun decides what is does (except gravitum)
yeah but white blue when there is a huge wave is even more insane then red white. just blue q the wave and every minion hit gives you a chakram. then you can just run them down with white. its even more insane if you use the blue q on a huge minion wave when its sub 10 ammo and you swap to red then do your red q get another 4 and then just run them down 1v2
great beginner guide, but i wish it did more to explain the nuance of aphelios' other rune options, ability level up paths and builds; specially since fleet footwork got gutted this patch while conqueror and PTA remain either strong or untouched. biscuit delivery also comes accross as a weird choice for a late game scaler, and ingenious hunter is an objectively better rune if you really want galeforce. by no means a flame, i watch every vid religiously and love your channel
@@mrcat9697 fleet lost a lot of its power as a lane neutralizer. since the healing got nerfed so heavily, you can only justify it right now if you really want the ms it gives you, either because you're bullying your way through laning phase or you need the kite potential. otherwise, conqueror was barely nerfed so remains a very good rune for aphelios if you get an enchanter, and pta was untouched, so it's still very good to pair with an engage support or to aggressively trade during laning phase
This is so bad advice. Weapon rotations are important, discouraging new players from learning the optimal rotation is just dumb. Ur saying that aphelios is an auto attack focused champ, then saying that fighting with low weapons are the best point to fight. Just don’t play him, his numbers are way low compared to so many other champions, so many champions out range and outdamage him. It’s simply too much work when you could just play jinx or swain adc and win with half as much skill.
while i do agree he's currently too weak to be worth it, he still has either jinx levels of aoe dps, caitlyn levels of one-shot pick potential, or absolutely unmatched dueling dps - he needs 8 chakrams to match draven Q's bonus damage (max is 20). so no, not many champions outdamage aphelios
you finally outgrew the cursed aphelios thumbnail phase.. respect
As an Aphelios content creator, I've got to respectfully disagree with some of your perspective here :) Love your content btw!!

I usually like Infinity Edge, since the big crit damage is amazing and I’ll probably forget to use the Galeforce dash

Yep. Fighting patterns of different guns is some learning curve there. After that, chill.

I got completely destroyed by an aphelios yesterday so now I'm learning it perfect time for this video xD
Maybe I missed it in the video, what is the meta leveling for Aphel now? Haven’t played in a few seasons. AD > Lethal > AS?
I personally like outranging my opponents with white/green into purple on low ammo.
Am i the single one who enjoys Red Blue late game? You dish a lot of aoe damage if you're left in a 2v5 situation.
Wow in the starting clip your team actually helps you?!??!
outdated attack speed max is new strat :D

This is not a well-factored video. Aphelios uses different weapon combos based on teamfight situations.
