This was really helpful. I feel like I intuitively knew these concepts to a degree. But it's really nice to have a formula to really make it clear what the mission should be in bot lane.
Yeah, runes can be super important and have a huge influence in your matchups. As shown in this video, you can determine how to play around the enemy ADC and support by their runes and playstyle connected to them.
Wow, thank you for this video it is a blast. Not only it helps to better understand runes, but it also really helps to understand what characters better to pick against enemy lane comp and, if already present, what is better with allied pick.
I play support and I learnt a LOT from this video but I have one question. Why would the poke botlane want to push the wave?, doesn't that just give the all-in botlane room to engage on them?. Still amazing guide I learnt a lot from this *THANK YOU* 😃
They responded that in the video. When you are at the poke side, u want the extremes on wave control. Either being safe on your tower, or creating a big wave where the enemy can't fight back and then push them to their tower, making it harder to farm. What you want to avoid is a small wave advantage and the possibility for the enemy to freeze the wave.
If you’re poking them correctly then an engage match up should very rarely have the health or feel safe enough to jump on you without a jungle. By shoving wave you force them on tower which limits their movement and they’ll lose gold on minions from turret dhot
@@ethanspicer3471also you gets to hit turret and get plating what is win conditions for a lot of poke adc(cait for example), also you prevent enemy all in botlane from being able to recoll without losing too much minions
As a support is it better to pick a support that favors the same rune condition as your adc, or pick one that you know counters the play style of one of the enemy team?
I think it depends on what your champion does as a support. When I play Thresh, I always go for Aftershock because of his kit which allows for extended trades. As Sona, I go Aery because she's too squishy for long fights, but is decent at handling burst with her W power chord.
you wanna find a balance between something that counters enemy comp, something that fixes your comp and something that goes well with your adc - the first 2 are in equal magnitude of importance (depending on the game it differs) with the last one being the less "needed" one say enemy botlane is kalista/samira with some alistar or rakan, going poppy here to completely counter both the adc and support not allowing them to ever engage on you other times your team is 3 selfish damage dealers (Jhin adc, Gwen top, Viego jungle) you'd probably want a support that has maximum utility and a tank like a Nautilus or an Alistar because you need to survive engage burst and Alistar R is great for that EVEN THOUGH Jhin prefers to have a poke/mage support like Senna Zyra etc but for the betterment of the teamcomp going Senna here completely screws the team

They always push and get impatient, most games someone or me personally will punish them eventually for some kind of mistake. So many all in lanes loves to push, never change I love you guys
They do it often. Either to farm comments from people pointing it out or because their editor genuinely doesn't play enough league to know the difference between the icons.

14:20 I disagree. Its a lose-lose lane for jinx there. Even if they're both full hp at level 3 the early ashe damage despite having comet is going to out dps the lulu E Q W. Ashe is just uniquely strong in early all ins. They did however take too much poke for that to ever be an option anyway.

This video is a perfect example on why your playstyle matters when it comes to your runes - If you want to poke more you go Comet (champ dependant ofc) & if you wanna all-in you go Conq. If you play poke with Conq you lost, even if theoretically Conq is better, but for your playstyle you would prefer Comet.
Best bot combo is to find support or adc for duo you like to play with and have similar playstyle and mindset, because most of duo in soloq are adc+supp and if you play against premade with autofilled ape mage support your lane is doomed for survival and hope other lanes can win the game, which ruins botlane gameplay a lot and i think Riot should remove duo option from soloq like in high mmr divisions and move it to flex only, this will also fix boosters problem.
i mean it's all cool , but there is some exceptions, like a full samira combo full stacking her conq. without the enemy ADC even landing more than one auto, so Conq here is used for burst & sustained fights at the same time
