Really useful content. Totally agree with gathering audience feedback. It’s invaluable and definitely gives you the confidence to have that conversation with seniors. It also as you say, embeds you as the bridge between leaders and audience. You gain trust from both. Looking forward to the next video!
I have a final interview with the Director of Communications in 2 days for the position of Internal Communications Specialist. During the first round, I was asked almost all sorts of questions. Don't know what to expect in the final round, any tips would be appreciated
Depends on the job spec and what you'll be required to do but I would be preparing for questions relating to interpersonal skills (can you work well with different people around the business, including people more senior to you?), content creation (can you write, edit, proofread? can you write in different styles and different tones of voice? are you any good at making short videos or doing a bit of graphic design on canva?) and being organised (how do you prioritise your work? what do you do if you're juggling too much?) I will put it on my list to make a video about internal comms jobs interviews btw - I've done tons of them both as an applicant and as a hiring manager so I can help you.
