Hi, do i have to remove the pump from the motor to get the watertank platform out? Because the pump is stuck through the holder and i dont see any other chance to get it out. Thanks.
Believe me compared to other machines. It would be a job I can’t see that ump being so quiet after awhile it’s Cramed into there with a hook and screw capacitor siting on top of it like that. I see in other videos of people pulling shot- the pump sounds like a vibratory in other videos it’s quieter. Idk about this model. In 6 years no updating. That could be a good think. But. I got turned off when he opened it. It looked like when the controller was pulled out everything else fell out. ??
What would cause the display to need to be replaced? I currently have a 2018 Duo and there are areas of the touchscreen that don’t work like the OK. Would this be the display or the control board?
@@sleepyjoe8622 I'm just hoping trying to get a display fixes the problem, because machine has now got a mind of it's own and keeps going through the menus by itself...
@@Displays.1234. that’s what mine was doing. After I replaced the display it works perfectly. It wasn’t very difficult to change either. I hope you can get yours fixed!
And once the top is off, you can install a vent to tray anti-vacuum valve which Bezzera seem to have overlooked on their $2.5k+ coffee machine.... Also, make sure you DO NOT overtighten the screws holding the side panels on. The perspex expands with heat at a different rate to the metals in the machine resulting in extremely loud cracking sounds when the machine is hot and for 2-3 hours after it's been turned off. A light nip up of the screws is plenty.
Really interested about your comment regarding the anti-vacuum valve, what does this do and how and where would i add one to my machine with what benefit? (i really dont know it and i am curious to know)
@@hound83 the plumbable anti-vac goes in the position that the factory anti-vac occupied. You would need to make a line to run to the tray, on the Matrix there was already an over pressure valve line that I teed into. Advantages of them is that no steam or water is leaked into the machine internals on startup. It is a fairly small amount but some machines vent worse than others depending where the valve is positioned on the boiler. I recalled seeing vapour on the insides of the panels on mine and figured that's not great around the delicate electronics in it so I fitted the plumbed anti vac. I sold the machine about 2.5 years ago, it's still working fine as far as I know.
