- Johnny Depp's former attorney Adam Waldman testified in the actor's defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard that he went to the Los Angeles Police Department with a binder of information with statements from witnesses showing Heard's claims were false. When asked what ever came of the complaint, Waldman says he never received a copy of the filing and never heard anything about it after that. Despite those claims, Heard has had numerous witnesses testify to seeing her with bruises and evidence of abuse, including her own sister who saw Depp allegedly strike Heard.

The disorders she was diagnosed with don't include psychotic episodes or the inability to understand the consequences of her actions. So she might be insane, but not in a way that would excuse her actions from a legal point of view.

Honestly, I have lost count on how many times Amber has committed perjury. Camille used Amber's own words, audio recordings, and sworn testimony under oath even from the same day that she testified!

It was really a STUPID move for them to call Waldman. I can’t believe they do something so dangerously risky. The risk did not outweigh the benefit. He’s an attorney and held to a much higher standard in the courtroom as far as perjury goes. While going after an ordinary witness for perjury is highly unlikely, if an attorney commits perjury (on the stand, not when presenting their client’s case b/c they have to present what their client states as truth whether they believe it or not) they will face consequences. Maybe not criminal, but you better believe they will face administrative discipline, up to and including disbarment. The same goes for filing a false police report. Everything this man is saying is truth. If he says on the stand he filed a perjury complaint against Amber Heard with law enforcement thar contains evidence that he believes admonishes Amber’s claims of abuse, he did it. This was far more damaging to Amber Heard and in no way did it help prove any of her defamation claim because there is no reckless disregard for the truth. He filed a complaint with evidence for crying out loud! Also, Amber is not suing him, she’s suing Johnny and he can’t say whether or not he was acting as an agent for Johnny or doing it on his own accord. While it may seem like he definitely did it for Johnny, there is no way to prove that because of attorney-client privilege and her attorneys should know better. Just really, really stupid move on their part. I have to assume she forced them to do this because I can’t imagine any attorney being this daft.

@@lifeislife489 Amber's attorneys felt like grabbing a shotgun, pointing it at the patient on life support that is their entire case, and pulling the trigger today. The whole day was fairly bad testimony except for their expert witness but even that guy doesn't help their claim much. They still can't connect Johnny Depp as being responsible for an alleged defamatory statement made by Adam Waldman and I'm thinking their counter claim will be dismissed. They haven't even established how the state of Virginia even has jurisdiction on this claim. Their claim is that the accusation of perjury qualified as defamation per se but haven't proven it as being untrue, seemed Waldman had a good faith basis in believing it was perjury based on the evidence he presented. Their other witnesses either hurt their case more then they helped, Amber's talent agent reenforced the notion that DV allegations will ruin a Hollywood career, and Johnny's former friend and his therapist both showed him as someone sympathetic, who had some issues with jealousy and substances but wasn't violent or particularly known for outbursts. Their bombshell witness's testimony was that Johnny tossed a wine bottle in her general direction while he was in an argument with his assistant over 30 years ago (she even corrected her use of the word threw and said it was more like a toss, the bottle didn't even hit anyone or break, she was with a bunch of other people at the time). If that's the worst documented incident of violence they can bring in their case is toast.

Exactly! In those moments she was recording him when she claimed he was leaving to go do drugs, why didn't she mention that? Why didn't she say "Johnny when you leave and do drugs you come back and hurt me?" Because it's not true. She controlled the narrative when she was recording, especially when he wasn't aware of it.

Being very familiar with Domestic Violence; it's become very clear that Depp has been abused in a prolonged systematic way. Her behaviour is narcissistic, uncontrolled anger & violence her part; alot of gaslighting, physically abusive because she believes in her twisted thought process that no one would believe she was abusing him and she taunted him with it. Most men who are abused rarely come forward; so this has another emotionally element to it. The one being abused usually tries to hide it by making excuses for what happened and those close to him are affected as well.
Agree! I am a domestic abuse victim, myself and I recognized many of her patterns from my ex husband's behavior.
In addition, a drug-fueled abuser doesn't stop at yelling or a slightly bruised cheek. They are not able to reason properly. If an abuser is raging - you're going to see evidence of a complete lack of caring about anything other than their feeling at the time, which is pure rage.

Shes already under FBI investigation for blackmailing and threating a worker to take the fall for her on bringing the dogs to Australia. The FBI got a hold of the threat and evidence and Amber will probably goto jail as her Lawyer warned her not to bring the dogs yet she did. If she survives here she will have Australia to deal with and its not looking good at all. They even told her the dogs will be put down if you bring them and yet she did. Johnny had to get a private Jet to fly them out and there is a recording because Johnny wasn't there of her telling him off for not helping her out.

The jurors might use all of this to form a picture of him. Johnny didn't use cheap schemes like this. His team was to the point. They weren't trying to defame her. If they decide to investigate and press charges, yes she can be charged with perjury which is "the offense of willfully telling an untruth in a court after having taken an oath or affirmation". She is under oath on the stand therefore she could be charged with lying under oath.

She can't go to jail straight after this trial. Like the judge can't say "the jury found Mr Depp not guilty but you Ms Heard are guilty of perjury. Take her away security." Or whatever dramatic cinema style thing people have in their mind. But testimony, official record (the lady typing at the front under the witness box), recordings from the livestream etc can be used as evidence if the state decide to press charges for perjury. It isn't an automatic or instant thing, it still has to follow the same process as any other accusation would with regard to gathering evidence and having a trial. But yes, if all of that happened, and she was then found guilty after that trial, she could absolutely face jail time.

It would be in the interest of the Law to actually look into the perjury in this case. Remember, bruise kits are used to MAKE BRUISES in theater. Not hide them. The fact both her and her friend called it a bruise kit should set off alarms. She has provided no evidence to the authenticity of her claims and photographs cannot be verified as they have been edited in an editing app. Yes phones have an editing feature for pictures but the source code will say "camera" if it is undited and will specify the editing app if the photo was saved through the editing app which requires some change to have been made to the image to do so. Physical body cam footage has shown no damage to the pent house and directly discredits every supposed witness she has as the police officers body cam footage was not made public until after every single one of those depositions were recorded and they couldn't have Whitney contradict Amber's testimony and thus couldn't course correct that discrepancy so the argument has become "Trust me and not your lying eyes".
There is zero evidence and all testimonies have contradicted explicit physical evidence and the only evidence had in Amber's case has been Johnny Depp has done drugs. And yet the photo evidence of Johnny's "drug paraphernalia" was identified by Whitney to be HER'S. But no one is questioning Johnny's drug use.

Keep in mind, he has been a heavy drinker and multi-drug user for many years. the fact that he got entangled with AH in the first place, divorcing his lovely wife, shows that he was going downhill. That’s what excessive alcohol and drug use does to people. Johnny has some responsibility in all this. Substance abuse changes people and erodes their character over time.

So I can't in anyway shape or form agree that he was at fault she is a monster for many things but isn't held to the same standards because she is a woman?
