    The following maintenance applies to a timing belt: 60,000 miles or 10 years if less miles. Very important.

      Less if there is an oil leak on the belt so keeping an eye on oil from the front of the timing cover is important, cheers.

    Do you charge a minimum diag fee such as one hour? Thanks for the audible and visual verification.

    • @robinsonsauto
      @robinsonsauto  10 месяцев назад

      Depends. If the customer follows through with the repair through me I usually throw this in as a courtesy no charge. Since I need this to confirm the complaint and also to confirm the repair. At that time it becomes part of the Job.
      I go by a parts and time Guide. This is a solid set of hours defined for every job. Say if I’m using Mitchell time guid I also use Mitchell repair guide. The first step in these guidelines is usually confirmation. Hence diagnostics. I take that as it’s included in the time guide.
      However if someone is coming in strictly for diagnosis only. Yes 1hr minimum. This allows for Diagnosis and report. In which I then stand behind.

      You have the 3.5 v6 correct. 60k is right around the time you should proactively replace the belt on
