I feel that in the '80s Prince and Michael definitely had some sort of rivalry but later in life I feel as though they just grew to respect and understand each other
Its really crazy because he should've signed to Death-row when Dr Dre was there before doing Murder was the case album and Dogg Food. Suge wanted to sign Toni Braxton because Toni was bankrupt and she didn't get payed a lot on Laface Records. And The reason why Teddy Riley should've signed to Death-row is because he would've done better songs for much better rap artist like Daz, Kurupt, Snoop, and Tupac. Especially Dr Dre to because Dre should've never left Deathrow, I think that Dres production on Deathrow and after he had done Niggaz4life was much better than Teddy Rileys no disrespect but Dre's production on Snoop First album Doggystlye and the Chronic before also on murder was the case and Dogg food album on the Dogg pound drew attention to Teddy.
Pls. all, specially Teddy Riley, Prince can't be compared with sweet and great Michael Jackson. May be in tempo of real time, I mean for the people of that time, or music doers themselves of any time (for them any piece of good music is very good music), but today, up till today, Prince songs don't have a fraction of that spirit, essence, musicality as of Michael Jackson Songs. -------Yes Prince can be compared with Queen, but Q are still better than P
@Kawish Abbasi You really only say shit! Prince never needed a Quincy Jones, Teddy Riley, R. Kelly, Dallas Austin or "Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis" to produce his albums. The Minneapolis Kid albums always included: Produced, Arranged, Composed & Performed by Prince. Quite simply! For guitar solos, Michael Jackson needed: Eddy Van Halen, Steve Stevens, Slash or Jennifer Batten. Prince, meanwhile, only needed his ten fingers! Prince to create a musical style called Minneapolis Sound (Michael Jackson is he only at the origin of a musical style?). Prince was passionate about music having approached all musical genres.
