    These placemats can also be used as a trivet because they are so thick and dense. Literally any cotton, linen or blend can be used here, but I do recommend sport weight because they work up so thick in worsted. I have made these in fingering weight as well - try that for a challenge and the results are beautiful! The pattern contains yarn recommendations, gauge, and photo tutorials of all the required techniques. It would help to have some familiarity with jasmine stitch before you start, but it is not absolutely required:

      Ok I've fixed it. Thank you again for pointing that out, I really appreciate it. I must have over-written the listing when I created the new pattern for the pouches. It should work now!!

    What are the dimensions of the finished placemat?

      It really depends on the yarn you use and your tension. You can also keep going around and around once the pattern of the outer rounds is established, and make the placemat as large as you want, or stop early and make it small. The full pattern is available to download from my website :
