I’m not the biggest fan of Seed and Seed Destiny, but I can’t deny that the mech designers knew exactly what they were doing. This thing and its lineage are things of beauty!
Yes!!!! The world is so awesome! I start to fall off at Destiny because I felt the mech designs were lazy. But SEED was awesome. The story is just melodramatic af
@@BasedSif Personally I found SEED to just be the original MSG with teen angst and edginess on steroids. It has unique details, but the shared story elements make it feel like that edgy reboot that a lot of American cartoons get hate for. Everyone has their own taste and should be allowed to like what they like and while I personally don’t like SEED, as I stated, the Mobile Suits were incredibly well designed in my eyes. Sticking to the Buster here, the armor over the sensor feels so natural instead of the usual visor sniping units have in Gundam. I can’t think of a single unit in any other series that would work on, but the Buster is designed in a way that makes it feel as natural as seeing fish swim in a river.
to me, the best part of the designs is that, they feel like logical ideas put into practice. the striker packs feel like the best pack system, that the franchise always toyed around but was never able to really pull it off. as for the story, im not gonna lie, im a big fan, i liked how flawled kira was, his moody persona in the middle of the series fit his descent into despair. him making bad decisions and going too far is another thing the franchise always wanted to deal, but they were always afraid to take it to its natural conclusion.
The only thing that I dislike about the GAT series is that most if not all of them seem to be based off the strike but centered around a certain gimmick
@@NoName-wr2nm i disagree, if any, it would be based on the duel, even then, the aegis doesnt really look like it, neither does the blitz, the only one that kinda does is the buster. which is like, what if we take the duel and load it with as many heavy weapons as we can? if you think about it, it kinda makes sense, they made the duel, then the buster, then they felt like the buster was not versitile, so they made a duel that could use buster equipment, from there they went, what if we add other ultility kits to the strike. they then made a stealth kit, but realized it didnt work, so they made a new machine that became the blitz, the aegis makes more sense if they wanted to make a high speed kit for the strike, but didnt know how, so they made the aegis, and downgraded it until it could fit as a pack.
I'll be honest. The Buster is my favorite Seed Gundam. Not only is it piloted by my favorite character in Seed, but it also has tons of fire power, which I love.
Love the Buster. I think it's funny that they apparently had Dearka switch sides in the anime because the Buster model kits weren't selling well at the outset. Then they also gave Buster a few new beautifully animated scenes in the remastered edition of Seed. It's only in retrospect that most people seem to be appreciating how cool a design it is. (Still want a new model or at least a Robot Damashii of the Verde Buster too.)
I would love to see revives of the blitz, the duel, and the buster. They could probably do it relatively easily too. They’d just have to use the same frame as the revive strike and make new parts for it.
Out of the 5 Gundams of SEED, the Buster had the 2nd most interesting history. It was the only one that the protags recovered along with Taking Dearka prisoner where he was nearly shanked to death he then covinced Yzak to turn against the Zaft that Athrun's father was in control of And then the Buster was transferred to Stargazer and developed into the Verde Buster.
I kinda doubt that the Buster that Phantom Pain got was the original. Reason 1. The original Buster was essentially totalled at the end of the First Bloody Valentine War Reason 2. The Archangel, which it was loaded on, had defected from the Earth Alliance. It and its crew were therefore labelled traitors and likely wouldn't have been able to turn it over anyways.
The Buster from Stargazer is an improved version of the original, made by a different manufacturer. Acteon Industries was contracted to build the MS after Morgenroete self-destruction.
Gotta admit, the Buster Gundam has always been one of my favorites from Gundam Seed, besides the Zeonic remakes in Seed Destiny. To just add how broken the Buster Gundam is, that in Breaker 3 its main weapon is just insanely OP.
I’ve never actually used the buster in gundam breaker 3. I know it’s a ridiculous reason but I’ve come to dislike seed so much that I just avoid the seed suits. I usually just stick to UC.
One thing that I would add to the Buster are two Armor Schniders or that and a Beam Saber, just in case someone gets too close for comfort, also I really don't know why the Buster's main camera couldn't get the Dynames Treatment
I assume the Earth Alliance didn't want to complicate the head as it had an already large sensor also it was a fire/artillery mobile suit and the sensor didn't need a complex transforming system as an Armored Visor seemed cheaper

I love the upgrade version of the Buster Gundam, The Hail Buster Gundam. The Hail Buster was my first Gundam Model Kit so I have allot of fond memories with it. Hopefully in the future we can get a Master Grade version of it.

Heavy firepower is one of the keys to victory, and when applied with proper usage by a skill pilot they will win any battle that they are on. The Bloody Valentine War was a time for monumental change in the doctrines of mobile suits for years to come.
It's kind of funny how the Buster's focus on sheer ranged firepower is the subtype that would benefit the most from a nuclear reactor, which the Freedom/Strike Freedom would absolutely show was the future of MS design in CE... but it never (as far as I know) had a legacy like that.
If I ever needed a heavy artillery mobile suit, it would either be the Gundam Heavyarms Custom (EW) or the Buster Gundam. However, I would modify the Buster a bit to give it beam sabers that can deploy in a similar way to how the Unicorn Gundam units are able to deploy their beam tonfas.
I am of the opinion that you should always give a suit a Beam saber if the tech exists. They aren't big, they aren't heavy, and if the enemy gets close to your long range shooty suit, you will go damn the energy drain and want it.

@@716_ハディくん sort of. It’s mainly just about the M1 Astrays and the murasame, but the gundam astrays are mentioned at the beginning and if I’m remembering correctly throughout the video about what happened to them.
Here’s my ideas for mobile suits and gunpla, my first idea for a mobile suit is the hyper flag, a flag with a new GN drive, were the particles are purple, the most famous unit is the setsuna F seiei custom. My first gunpla idea is the wolf dynames, the dynames with new equipment, like a twin beam spear. My second unit is the rick gouf, a gouf made for space, the most famous unit is the Adam gazer custom. The next gunpla is the nemesis Gundam, it’s the full armor Gundam (thunderbolt version) on JUICE, it has more beam sabers and extra sub manipulator arms, and more weapons. The next unit is the GM storm custom, it’s the successor of the GM sniper custom, but it can be used for more roles, the most famous unit is the kamile bidan custom. The next gunpla is the Gundam 00 quanta galaxy, it has a GN sword, beam sabers, lightning bits and GN rifles with a sword mode with a beam blade. The next unit is the impulse dagger, a unit that’s basically the GM intercept custom, it was made by an alliance of ZAFT and the earth alliance, it weapons vary on what packs it has, the most famous unit is the ryo Yamato custom. The next gunpla is the spark impulse Gundam, it the impulse equivalent of the full package strike, with beam rifles that have beam blades, a beam shield and more. Any ideas for any mobile suit or gunpla.
So could we get this in gundam evolution? It would be the most unique and the whole hail of suppression fire and lacking close range combat ability would be relly cool. It could have the same health as sazabi and be a relly good dps machine who has mainly long range shots with the alt fire being the beam that has a hire rate of fire than the 350mm but would take a quarter of a second to charge up. I think it would work well with the anti shot gun as the q. A single dash. F being the shoulders firing mid to long range missiles that hurt you if you use them at too close a range and a seconded ability based on maybe supplying ammo to other units so it fully takes it back role or maybe it turns on the phase shift armour to give it more of a fighting chance in close range or escape a situation.
so what mobile suit development history are we planning to do next? the gouf? the dom? what about finally getting into the federations GM mobile suit line? or are you planning to continue the gundam development line whatever you choose im looking forward to it ^^

Big Ups to these videos dude. I'm working on a solo indie game loosely inspired by the various generations and all of these videos are helpful for designing the skills and abilities
SEED had phenomenal mobile suits and Gundam. SEED is a Gundam series that you have to watch the HD remaster to learn more about it. I feel that Flay made the show difficult to watch as she was the saboteur and obviously was damaged due to witnessing a life altering event. I totally want to see more SEED (Eclipse doesn't quench my thirst). I would still love to see a SEED movie, or even more OVA style SEED content like STARGAZER. The astray series would have tons of potential to be more entertaining. I feel that SEED has the largest opportunity to add exciting lore to the entire series with the cloning aspect + the memory control. It would seem easy to Clone Kira and bring back many Villains from the series.
I always love the development history of mobile suites can’t wait for Blitz video and you can explain the Mirage Colloid and why it’s banned or it’s need’s it’s on video
Seed and Destiny still aren’t great. I’ve rewatched them several times and I only give them credit for their mobile suit designs. The writing is terrible throughout both of them. I only enjoy watching kakarots development history videos of seed and Destiny mobile suits.
Seeing as the Strike ran out of power all the time. I questioned how much power capacity the Buster had. With all the crazy shots it was doing, I was amazed by it's longevity.
In fairness Strike ran out of power constantly because it was constantly fighting in 4-v-1 battles. The other Gundams only had to close in and fire a few shots or tank a few hits before retreating and letting one of the other units deal with the Strike for a bit. Strike on the other hand was on constant combat having to fend off all four enemy Gundams the entire time. It's only natural that Strike would exhaust it's power supply quickly.
Now this makes me want to look for a Buster and give it United States Colonial Marines camo scheme because the way the Buster is holding that gun when combined does reminds me of the famous M56 Smartgun from Aliens. Dearka would bombard the surface from orbit, it's the only way to be sure. Would love a video on the Re manga version of the Gundams and their upgrades. Yzak's Duel has DINN parts and the Aegis can operate in Earth's atmosphere when transformed to MA mode.
While the GuAiz-R has always been my favourite MS in CE, the Verde Buster is close behind. I hear the HG gunpla has quite a few issues. I have all 5 G-weapons in MG, but I'd love to get the Phantom Pain machines in MG too.
Buster hold a special place in my gunpla building memory as it was the first 1/100 scale model I had build and did a decent job with the paints! I stop building models now but I do wished to buy the official MG 1/100 one of these days!
I think the original's design having equal emphasis on projectiles and directed energy blasts was ahead of its time. Given that the (mutually exclusive?) technologies of reflective coatings and phase shift armor became more prevalent, I can see being able to switch your approach as a useful feature. Personally I'd have advocated switching the Verde's 94mm beam sniper out for a second railgun since it already has the station killing beam firepower. Also maybe another pair or two of missile pods on the legs.
I'm rather partial to the Buster as its moveset was critical in me being able to defeat the Musha trio's level in Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn. Mainly cos combo 3 was a sweeping beam that hit loads of mooks to charge the SP gauge. This allowed me to spam his aerial special which did damage while keeping him out of harms way, as the 3 Musha could kill me in 2-3 hits.
considering how the main reason why the buster's weapons could combine was to increase the electrical output to add power to the weapons, that mean that the weapons are completely capable of that output on their own, if the user doesn't mind the armor losing power when they fire. so if we gave the buster an assault shroud, aka physical armor that has no battery needed, could it then power off the phase shift and use both weapons at their combined output separately?
Finding pilots for them would be a. Issue but at the same time Kira could’ve had up to 7 load outs to work with against what is just a bunch of Ginns for a good long while maybe Cagalli and Mu supporting in their own suits they choose among the 5. I imagine Mu would take Aegis if he decided that he didn’t want the Mobius Zero while Cagalli seems more like she’d go for the X100 frames. This is all assuming Kira can write a good OS for all 5 suits that naturals like Mu and Cagalli can use. I can see Tolle getting in on one of the X100 frames likely Duel. Sai… he might just try to take the Blitz or something since it seems the most neglected in this what if guess
I'll be honest. Buster is probably my favorite CE suit, and one of my favorite Gundams. Which makes it a little weird I only have the MiSA action figure and a cheapo no grade kit of it. Something to remedy some day. Also, while I love the original's design the most, I'm just gonna say. I don't care what the MS role is. Give it a beam saber. They aren't that big, you can slap it on a gun for a bayonet or something, but you'll want it if enemies do close, and eventually they will. And finally, I do like that underwater gear.
Coming back to this video, I find it interesting that none of the successor designs is fully superior to the other 2, at least in my book. They all have pros and cons. The Buster Dagger has the lowest cost, the best defense against beam weapons, and is the only successor confirmed to have retained the gun docking. On the other hand, the Dagger has less firepower than the original Buster, it is the weakest to physical attacks, and unlike the other two, its effective range for target acquisition and tracking hasn't been enhanced over the original. Finally, its power supply wasn't upgraded. The Verde drastically enhances protection, adds CQC enhancement with the bayonets, and probably has the greatest firepower of the entire family with the linked beam rifles that offer flexible power by being energy weapons. In contrast, for all the efforts to increase endurance, it has a payload that is ravenous for energy. The Hail's stealth makes it a terrifying wildcard, as does its ability to swap out the classic guns via striker pack, and its new hard mounted cannons will be minimally draining on the power supply. That being said, the stealth is also an energy hog like the base phase armor, the deployed cannons leave the missile pods uniquely vulnerable to return fire, and physical ammo is arguably less flexible in both endurance and damage output.
For once I'd like to see an anime mecha protagonist that isn't armed with beam weaponry but with stuff similar to the duel gundam, or heavy arms gundam. Closest I've seen to that is Armored Trooper Votoms and I want something similar to it but with high tech prototype suits. A shame Broken Blade still hasn't received a full anime adaptation as far as I know.
This is my third favorite SEED suit behind the "totally not a Zaku" and the Noir. I know nothing about the Seed anime. I determine this solely of the Gunpla. Side note: how does predictive text not know the word ANIME by now?

Every Earth Alliance pilot that gets a Gundam from the get go is ALWAYS mentally unstable or a child playing as an adult Sham is prime example of the former, he drank so much of that Blue Cosmo Kool-Aid he got drunk and the MOMENT a part of his world view broke and fell to pieces Namely the death of his female teammate who piloted the Blu Duel who got killed by ZAFT Kerberos Team She died and he couldn’t take reality anymore and the moment he had more Coordinators in his sights he through out all the so called cool calm smarts he showed earlier and burned his batteries to empty in minutes

This Gundam and Heavyarms are examples of long-range attack Mobile Suits that did not get enough screen time. I can't help but love them both.
The long range stuff generally seems to be forced to either play third fiddle or get nerfed.
Full Armor Gundam in Thunderbolt is the closest cousin to HeavyArms to get decent time.
Buster actually outlived all of the other 4 first Gundams in Gundam seed

Wish the GuAIZ R were used extensively in Destiny. I like the Zaku Warrior's design but GuAIZ would give the series more identity.

Here’s my ideas for mobile suits and gunpla, my first idea for a mobile suit is the hyper flag, a flag with a new GN drive, were the particles are purple, the most famous unit is the setsuna F seiei custom. My first gunpla idea is the wolf dynames, the dynames with new equipment, like a twin beam spear. My second unit is the rick gouf, a gouf made for space, the most famous unit is the Adam gazer custom. The next gunpla is the nemesis Gundam, it’s the full armor Gundam (thunderbolt version) on JUICE, it has more beam sabers and extra sub manipulator arms, and more weapons. The next unit is the GM storm custom, it’s the successor of the GM sniper custom, but it can be used for more roles, the most famous unit is the kamile bidan custom. The next gunpla is the Gundam 00 quanta galaxy, it has a GN sword, beam sabers, lightning bits and GN rifles with a sword mode with a beam blade. The next unit is the impulse dagger, a unit that’s basically the GM intercept custom, it was made by an alliance of ZAFT and the earth alliance, it weapons vary on what packs it has, the most famous unit is the ryo Yamato custom. The next gunpla is the spark impulse Gundam, it the impulse equivalent of the full package strike, with beam rifles that have beam blades, a beam shield and more. Any ideas for any mobile suit or gunpla.
So could we get this in gundam evolution? It would be the most unique and the whole hail of suppression fire and lacking close range combat ability would be relly cool. It could have the same health as sazabi and be a relly good dps machine who has mainly long range shots with the alt fire being the beam that has a hire rate of fire than the 350mm but would take a quarter of a second to charge up. I think it would work well with the anti shot gun as the q. A single dash. F being the shoulders firing mid to long range missiles that hurt you if you use them at too close a range and a seconded ability based on maybe supplying ammo to other units so it fully takes it back role or maybe it turns on the phase shift armour to give it more of a fighting chance in close range or escape a situation.
so what mobile suit development history are we planning to do next?

what about finally getting into the federations GM mobile suit line?

SEED had phenomenal mobile suits and Gundam. SEED is a Gundam series that you have to watch the HD remaster to learn more about it. I feel that Flay made the show difficult to watch as she was the saboteur and obviously was damaged due to witnessing a life altering event. I totally want to see more SEED (Eclipse doesn't quench my thirst). I would still love to see a SEED movie, or even more OVA style SEED content like STARGAZER. The astray series would have tons of potential to be more entertaining. I feel that SEED has the largest opportunity to add exciting lore to the entire series with the cloning aspect + the memory control. It would seem easy to Clone Kira and bring back many Villains from the series.

Seed and Destiny still aren’t great. I’ve rewatched them several times and I only give them credit for their mobile suit designs. The writing is terrible throughout both of them. I only enjoy watching kakarots development history videos of seed and Destiny mobile suits.

Seeing as the Strike ran out of power all the time. I questioned how much power capacity the Buster had. With all the crazy shots it was doing, I was amazed by it's longevity.
In fairness Strike ran out of power constantly because it was constantly fighting in 4-v-1 battles. The other Gundams only had to close in and fire a few shots or tank a few hits before retreating and letting one of the other units deal with the Strike for a bit. Strike on the other hand was on constant combat having to fend off all four enemy Gundams the entire time. It's only natural that Strike would exhaust it's power supply quickly.
Now this makes me want to look for a Buster and give it United States Colonial Marines camo scheme because the way the Buster is holding that gun when combined does reminds me of the famous M56 Smartgun from Aliens. Dearka would bombard the surface from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.
Would love a video on the Re manga version of the Gundams and their upgrades. Yzak's Duel has DINN parts and the Aegis can operate in Earth's atmosphere when transformed to MA mode.

While the GuAiz-R has always been my favourite MS in CE, the Verde Buster is close behind. I hear the HG gunpla has quite a few issues. I have all 5 G-weapons in MG, but I'd love to get the Phantom Pain machines in MG too.
The Strike Noir has a master grade. I don’t own it because personally I’m not a fan of master grades. I prefer high grades.
The GuAIZ was a beautiful unit that got screwed over by the derpy Zaku reboot.
Buster hold a special place in my gunpla building memory as it was the first 1/100 scale model I had build and did a decent job with the paints!
I stop building models now but I do wished to buy the official MG 1/100 one of these days!

Buster's color scheme is one of the best in my opinion.
I think the original's design having equal emphasis on projectiles and directed energy blasts was ahead of its time. Given that the (mutually exclusive?) technologies of reflective coatings and phase shift armor became more prevalent, I can see being able to switch your approach as a useful feature.
Personally I'd have advocated switching the Verde's 94mm beam sniper out for a second railgun since it already has the station killing beam firepower. Also maybe another pair or two of missile pods on the legs.
I'm rather partial to the Buster as its moveset was critical in me being able to defeat the Musha trio's level in Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn. Mainly cos combo 3 was a sweeping beam that hit loads of mooks to charge the SP gauge. This allowed me to spam his aerial special which did damage while keeping him out of harms way, as the 3 Musha could kill me in 2-3 hits.
Ngl yzak being angry and just madly grab the buster's main weapon was top tier madman moment.

The only things missing from it being a B2 MS are nukes.
considering how the main reason why the buster's weapons could combine was to increase the electrical output to add power to the weapons, that mean that the weapons are completely capable of that output on their own, if the user doesn't mind the armor losing power when they fire. so if we gave the buster an assault shroud, aka physical armor that has no battery needed, could it then power off the phase shift and use both weapons at their combined output separately?

Imagine if kira got on the strike earlier and managed to prevent the other units from getting stolen.
Finding pilots for them would be a. Issue but at the same time Kira could’ve had up to 7 load outs to work with against what is just a bunch of Ginns for a good long while maybe Cagalli and Mu supporting in their own suits they choose among the 5. I imagine Mu would take Aegis if he decided that he didn’t want the Mobius Zero while Cagalli seems more like she’d go for the X100 frames. This is all assuming Kira can write a good OS for all 5 suits that naturals like Mu and Cagalli can use. I can see Tolle getting in on one of the X100 frames likely Duel. Sai… he might just try to take the Blitz or something since it seems the most neglected in this what if guess

I'll be honest. Buster is probably my favorite CE suit, and one of my favorite Gundams. Which makes it a little weird I only have the MiSA action figure and a cheapo no grade kit of it. Something to remedy some day.
Also, while I love the original's design the most, I'm just gonna say. I don't care what the MS role is. Give it a beam saber. They aren't that big, you can slap it on a gun for a bayonet or something, but you'll want it if enemies do close, and eventually they will.
And finally, I do like that underwater gear.
Better yet, give it the duel gundams assault shroud equipment and backpack and you’d have a gundam of destruction.

Coming back to this video, I find it interesting that none of the successor designs is fully superior to the other 2, at least in my book. They all have pros and cons.
The Buster Dagger has the lowest cost, the best defense against beam weapons, and is the only successor confirmed to have retained the gun docking. On the other hand, the Dagger has less firepower than the original Buster, it is the weakest to physical attacks, and unlike the other two, its effective range for target acquisition and tracking hasn't been enhanced over the original. Finally, its power supply wasn't upgraded.
The Verde drastically enhances protection, adds CQC enhancement with the bayonets, and probably has the greatest firepower of the entire family with the linked beam rifles that offer flexible power by being energy weapons. In contrast, for all the efforts to increase endurance, it has a payload that is ravenous for energy.
The Hail's stealth makes it a terrifying wildcard, as does its ability to swap out the classic guns via striker pack, and its new hard mounted cannons will be minimally draining on the power supply. That being said, the stealth is also an energy hog like the base phase armor, the deployed cannons leave the missile pods uniquely vulnerable to return fire, and physical ammo is arguably less flexible in both endurance and damage output.
I really liked the mobile suits from SEED. I just ugh..

For once I'd like to see an anime mecha protagonist that isn't armed with beam weaponry but with stuff similar to the duel gundam, or heavy arms gundam. Closest I've seen to that is Armored Trooper Votoms and I want something similar to it but with high tech prototype suits. A shame Broken Blade still hasn't received a full anime adaptation as far as I know.

The Verde Buster is the only Gundam with a face cover that lets it fight Necromorphs.
This is my third favorite SEED suit behind the "totally not a Zaku" and the Noir. I know nothing about the Seed anime. I determine this solely of the Gunpla.

Sham is prime example of the former, he drank so much of that Blue Cosmo Kool-Aid he got drunk and the MOMENT a part of his world view broke and fell to pieces
Namely the death of his female teammate who piloted the Blu Duel who got killed by ZAFT Kerberos Team
She died and he couldn’t take reality anymore and the moment he had more Coordinators in his sights he through out all the so called cool calm smarts he showed earlier and burned his batteries to empty in minutes
