- Canada's Wonderland is the premier theme park in Canada. This giant park is one of the best properties in the Cedar Fair chain with its deep and diverse coaster lineup and crazy flat rides. But which attractions are the best?

By far the most underrated park in North America. Glad this is my home park.
It may be my second favorite Cedar Fair park.
It's not under-rated at all.
Wonderland has the highest seasonal attendance of any Cedar Fair park.
Impressive considering it's in Canada and doesn't have year round operations.
I agree...I go here all the time...its GREAT!!
probably because of the inconsistent lineup, you have coasters like flight deck in the same park as leviathan
It's my home park too. I pretty much agree with the list in this video. I can never decide between Leviathan or Behemoth as my favourite. Just went the other day, in fact, and rode most of those! Got on the Yukon Striker twice in a row near closing! Wheee!
It’s a shame that many other parks here in America don’t have unique flat rides like at this park because these flat rides look very cool
Most of them make me dizzy so I don’t often ride them but that’s just me.
I wish more parks had a flat ride lineup like this park.
They are very very fun :)
I can really see a sledgehammer clone for carowinds aeronautica landing
@@elizabethmones594 it’s not reliable so they probably won’t use this model again anywhere in the world
4: Vortex; back car, 3: Yukon Striker back car 2: Leviathan front right seat; 1: Behemoth back left seat. Thanks for posting!
You're welcome!
We were back car on Vortex the other day! Yeah, what a difference! We had a front and a back on Yukon Striker. It was a windy day so the front seat was intense on the eyes. Had to keep shutting them.
I found most the rides to be fairly smooth, though in hindsight this was possibly influenced by my first ride of the day being Wilde Beast on the back row and it was all relative. Flight Deck was especially fine but also ridden at the front and in the wake of a storm where the soaked track made it zip along with no issue.
I admittedly haven't ridden Flight Deck in a decade, but it was atrocious.
@@CanobieCoaster They fixed it up a couple years back with new restraints and that helped a lot. But its still a vecoma Slc coaster so not much to see. I still like it since the line is always short and the theming is cool.
You know some people think the tight turns on the fly are pretty scary but I think it's fun it feels just like the classic spinny rides from amusement parks and it's also a great coaster to help you prepare for the looping coasters
I like hairpin turns.
Agree
I’m lucky that I get to live not too far away from this amazing park. Just went to it like 3 days ago for the first time in 3 years, and it was amazing. Tried Yukon Striker and Leviathan for the first time and they’re my top 2 rollercoasters (haven’t tried Behemoth but will definitely try it next time I go).
I could swear the Minebuster is way shakier than I remember though.
In the future I will definitely start getting some more parks under my belt to make my rankings and to see how good and diverse this park is compared to others.
It's an incredible top 3.
Behemoth is like Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia so if you ever ride that then you pretty much rode Behemoth. Behemoth is a little taller though but I didn’t notice that till I looked it up
Love how you still upload when traveling! It was great to meet you at fårup this Saturday with the seeking the thrill tour! Hope you enjoy europe! :)
Nice meeting you! I didn't make any videos while on the road. I had a bunch scheduled before I left and now I'm back home.
I’m very excited to watch this as this is my home park. I’m very happy Mike is making tons of videos of it now.
Yup!
I was expecting just a review of the park but a top 25 is a total bonus!
He'll probably end up doing a review for it, maybe tm it'll come out
There will be a review, but it may be another 1-2 months out.
I know right
I like wonder mountains guardian it's like playing a video game on a roller coaster and the drop track makes it very thrilling
That finale is wonderful.
My most favourite rides at Wonderland are
1. Jet Scream (Intamin Looping Starship that operated from 1990-2010). This was the ride that started my love for roller coasters and parks, and of course the Intamin Looping Starship flat ride.
2. This is a tie because I cannot decide which one I like more. Dragon Fyre and Skyrider (the stand-up coaster that operated from 1985-2014).
3. Flight Deck. I know it is not the smoothest roller coaster, however, when it opened in 1995 I was in awe of it. It also looked great with its shiny silver track.
4. Shockwave.
For the B&M's I would say
1. Yukon Striker because of the first drop and also I enjoy going upside down.
2. Leviathan for the speed, over bank turns, and the height.
3. Behemoth for the height and the hills.
Those looping starships give amazing hangtime.
@@CanobieCoaster they sure do! I also love their graceful swinging and looping.
Glad you gave an honorable mention to Shockwave. I felt exactly the same way for KI's King Cobra back in the day. That camelback into the helix used to give some INSANE flajector back in the day...I remember getting ejected out of my seat and floating until I was a good halfway through the helix. Yes it was rough, but that thing was FUN
*Skyrider
I liked the Togo stand-ups.
Great list! This truly IS a WONDERLAND!
Yes
This video was the highlight of my Birthday! I had a very chill B-day. Spot on rankings with the coasters
Happy birthday!
My childhood park! Great list👏 So great to hear your in-depth reviews about a park I have enjoyed for many years. Thunder-Run was always my favourite as a child. I haven't been since 2016. I prefer Behemoth over Leviathan, just based on the length of the coaster. Hope you enjoyed the Canadian hospitality ❤️
I know Behemoth vs Leviathan is pretty split.
I went there last week and could only do 5😭
@@elitegamer7414 Went there the other day and couldn’t even go on anything cause it was such long lineups lol
@@JJS595 dayum that sucks
Great list, I feel like I can’t compare it to my list as I made that list when Wonderland was still the only park I’d ever been to, it’s going to be fun going back to my Home Park after getting a bunch of other parks under my belt, I feel like so many of my opinions have changed since last year, sky hawk is a great example as I’ve only ever flipped once on it but now I’m insane with sky rollers and have had those rides that you can’t even walk after.
Also as a side note I wanted to say thank you for your reviews, if it wasn’t for them I would never even heard of parks like Fantasiana or Belantis and these were some of my favourite parks on my trip so thank you very much!
You're welcome!
Hello! Canadian here. I have a few bits of info to add
1. Even according to the app, it is The Fly, not just Fly. Same for The Bat
2. I talked to an employee and they said that the special effects for Backlot Stunt Coaster were removed, not just broken
3. When you are used to the other coasters here, Behemoth feels much smoother!
That's a shame on the effects. I usually drop the from the names.
Makes sense, just double checking.
Correct. The effects were dropped when Cedar Fair bought the park from Paramount due to licensing issues...
It's pretty cool that every ride that has hangtime has the best restraints to keep you in place
Yes they do.
Love this list and totally agree!!!
Thanks!
Canobie coaster I have a question have you ever been on orbiter the huss skylab that used to be in front of minebuster and beside behemoth
I've been on the same ride at other parks.
The drop tower would be great if they counted down from 10 and dropped you at 5 or so while changing the number they drop at each time to scare people.
True!
when i visited the park a few weeks ago, that’s exactly what they did! i went on it twice that day, the first time i was dropped at 8, and the second i was dropped at 6. it was great, i was not expecting it the first time and it scared me so much haha
From my experience they never drop you on the true count. It’s part of the fun! The last time I was on it they counted down from three but left us there for at least 7 seconds. The suspense was amazing!
Wonderland has always been my home park so ive ridden leviathan and behemoth ALOT. but the two coaster i most look forward to are minebuster and stunt coaster. Both of them if ridding in the back can give some decent ejector. Especially the last drop on stunt coaster. It blew me away the first time i rid it. I also really enjoy lumber jack for the hange time.
Nice!
Good review! I hope to make it to Canada’s Wonderland sometime. I have always wanted to ride Yukon Striker and Leviathan.
The B&Ms and flats are great.
Just did Yukon today!! It’s amazing, if you go on it, you’ll love it. I went twice in a row, for your first time try to avoid the front. It’s not that bad of a drop! Just hold really tight lol. Try not to think about it going up
Very informative although short and sweet!
Thanks!
What's your favorite row or seat on those coasters at the park:
Yukon Striker
Vortex
Flight Deck
Wilde Beast
Really interesting selection of flats.. They obviously have a good relationship with Mondial especially.
Seem to!
Kind of surprised that you have Guardian up so high. It's like an M. Night Shyamalan movie, where the ending doesn't justify having to slog through everything else to get there. Lumberjack, to me, feels like the spiritual successor to Jet Scream.
Love your shout-out to SkyRider. Still one of my all-time favourites in spite of the seats. Hope the Tuscans are treating it well.
That finale is worth the mess that comes before it.
Do you like the SLCs with the traditional trains seen in most, with the Kumbak trains seen in T3, or with the Vekoma vest trains seen in Riddler's Revenge and Great Nor'Easter?
I like the vest trains best.
What do you think about the park's wooden coasters, Mighty Canadian Minebuster and Wilde Beast, in smoothness or roughness?
A) smooth
B) rough
C) some smooth parts and some rough parts, so a mix on both but A is closer
D) considered closer to B, but there are tolerable seats on both
C
I conquered the Leviathan for the first time today! I greed out a total of three ish (maybe four) times and it was amazing!! I also went on the Spinebuster and literally busted up my elbow and coukdnt feel it for the next 3 hours and had passed out for the last half of the ride.
Glad you liked Leviathan!
Yay on Leviathan! Yikes on The Spinebuster. Last time I went on that thing was about fifteen years ago. It destroyed my back for a week! lol. I always knew the day would come when the pain would outweigh the fun on that ride. I won't ride it again.
I was just at the park yesterday, i rode Sledge hammer, Timberwolf falls, White water canyon, Sky hawk, ghoster coaster, thunder run, windseeker, Spinovator, minebuster, and dragon fyre (that's 10 rides in 1 day!). Next time I visit i'll be checking out Halloween Haunt and try to get some awesome night rides on the coasters i missed including some of the B&Ms among other flat rides. #RideOn #CanadasWonderland
Night rides are fun here.
Hey canopy are you gonna be going to Lagoon anytime soon to review those coasters
I have been there, but I want to return before reviewing the rides.
@@CanobieCoaster when are you gonna be going there
How do you tell which seats on wooden coasters are wheel seats.
The back of a car.
@@CanobieCoaster 👍
I LOVE "Flight Deck"!
Just need to know how to ride it ;)
New subscriber here haha :)
Not a fan of it.
Heading to Toronto end of August so will be definitely be checking out this theme park
Well worth it!
@@CanobieCoaster Thanks for such an informative video - being able to do a top 25 rides is insane, think we'll struggle to do that many! Does the park get busy in the holiday season? Typically how long are waiting times for the best rides?
What do you think about the roughness of Flight Deck at Canada's Wonderland and Coaster Express at Parque Warner Madrid?
Both are brutal.
I only rode the Bat in the rain on my arrival evening, 2 straight times. It ran great in the rain. I guess it's good I didn't ride it in regular conditions.
I love seeing the respect given to Time Warp. It's my # 7 coaster at the park. Leviathan barely edges out Yukon Striker for # 1. I like Behemoth, but it's a distant 3rd.
4. Sledge Hammer
5. Vortex
6. Backlot
7. Minebuster
8. Time Warp
9. Psyclone
10. that super round-up
11. the Arrow
12. Wonder Mountain Guardian
I didn't ride some of the flats you mentioned, and I couldn't get Skyhawk to flip if my life depended on it. The waterpark was closed on my visit.
I also haven't ridden Bat since 2010 so it may have improved.
I love Canada’s wonderland
Me too.
If Bat and Flight Deck have trains with vests, where would you rank them?
They probably would make this list.
In your review video of Coaster Express at Parque Warner Madrid (world's worst roller coaster!), why did you say "Grizzly, Wilde Beast and Mighty Canadian Minebuster?", which Grizzly did you refer, and what do you think about Wilde Beast and Mighty Canadian Minebuster?
The California's Great America one since that Grizzly is often called the world's worst wood coaster. Wilde Beast and Minebuster are tolerable compared to Coaster Express.
I never knew you rode Skyrider. I was 6 when it closed in 2014. How many times have you been to the park and when?
I rode that in my first visit in 2010.
Flight Deck - Bench next to the ride. Why did you put that?
Because the ride itself is awful.
What exactly is a wheel seat?
The back of a car on a wood coaster.
Was Behemoth the best hyper (not giga) coaster you've ridden?
No
0:40 what is that ride called?
Slingshot
At Canada's Wonderland, what do you think about those two coasters, Mighty Canadian Minebuster and Flight Deck, both tolerable?
Not Flight Deck
By the way if some of you people are afraid to go on the b&ms I suggest going on Yukon striker first cause Yukon striker has really good restraints that make you feel very secure and it's a very nice view when you're at the top
That's a fair point.
Like Carowinds, this parks top 3 is fantastic but then it drops fast. It is insane how many roller coasters are at this amusement park but only the 3 B&Ms really stand out, a modern launch like a Mack launch would go perfectly here, there are a lot of old or bad rides that are taking up space and could have something better there and I mean a lot, a Boomerang, a SLC, a old arrow looper that nobody talks about m, a Zamperla Volare, all these attractions.
Vortex is good too and at least this park has a lot of great flats, but the coasters do drop off sharply.
What would you rate Mighty Canadian Minebuster, Sugar Shack, Wilde Beast, Time Warp, Sledge Hammer, and Flight Deck?
I have reviews for several of those with the ratings
I cant wait to go on all thoes rides!😄
You should!
You know I was a bit nervous to go on shockwave last time but that's because seeing it in person made me a bit nervous but watching the on ride povs of it definitely helps
It's definitely a lot of fun.
Did you like all Mack Wild Maus coasters? I'm referring to Fly at Canada's Wonderland and Coast Rider at Knott's Berry Farm
Not all of them.
Another good countdown canobie !
Thanks!
You know I think windseeker is a good ride to go on to help me be ready for the b&ms cause I definitely think it's an awesome ride to help you feel comfortable with heights
It really is!
Wilde Knight Mares is always great, just for the G forces. I gotta go every time I visit.
A fun one.
For you was Mighty Canadian Minebuster worse than Time Warp and Flight Deck?
Flight Deck is the worst of those 3.
In your video of Coaster Express at Parque Warner Madrid (world's worst roller coaster!) review, there was a list of wooden coasters considered by many as rough, that said:
Hades 360? Amazing
Predator and Zeus? Great
Grizzly, Wilde Beast and Mighty Canadian Minebuster? Not good but smooth enough
Bandit? Bumpy but ridable
but I finally hit my limit with Coaster Express.
What do you think about Wilde Beast and Mighty Canadian Minebuster, both at Canada's Wonderland? Why did you say that?
Those two are fine.
I'm definitely gonna go on lumberjack I love the hangtime it provides it's definitely a better version of Jetscream
Enjoy!
If you guys like hanging upside down and positive forces riptide is for you it's very fun and I like it that riptide has really good restraints to keep you in place during the ride
Riptide is a fun one.
Hello canobie coaster i don't know if im allowed to go on silver streak cause im over 18
It's allowed.
Based on the park's current roller coaster lineup, would you ride again Flight Deck and Wilde Beast? What do you think about the two, rough?
Flight Deck is painful. I can tolerate the other.
i haven't been to many theme parks so i didn't know sledge hammer was so unique!
You won't find it elsewhere.
I like it that shockwave has really tight restraints that keeps you very safe I have a feeling that I'm totally gonna enjoy shockwave
You're very secured on that one.
What do you think about Drop Tower at Canada's Wonderland, Carowinds, and California's Great America?
All are good.
Ive been on ALL the rides there, there all amazing 🤩
The lineup is stacked.
I cant believe you said the bat and flight deck were too shakey but still put minebuster on here. I regret riding that thing every time. I always leave with a limp from some hip bone or knee tuat gets smashed over the extreamly bumpy ride. Flight deck I could do all day. And Thunder run is probably the best family coaster at the park imo.
Headbanging is the kiss of death for me.
thanks
You're welcome!
Windseeker is pretty cool it feels like being on a plane with the wind rushing in your legs
Great view!
You know backlot stunt coaster is a very good roller coaster to help you prepare for the looping coasters since it has really good positive gs on that first helix and in the tunnel
It's a good family coaster.
Slowly becoming convinced to re-ride Wilde Beast and Minebuster. They really arent my favourites and I can't fit in Time Warp comfortably but as RUclips gives me advice, I'm thinking this merits a revisit. Also, I agree that the hate towards the collection of family coasters isn't the best. I find Fly fun, and when I want to just feel wind in my face, Thunder Run actually works for that. Plus, that way kids get really used to roller coasters instead of doing something like a leap from Taxi Jam to Behemoth
The top 3 are where I spend most of my time.
Rip mine buster 😢😢
Is it rumored to be removed?
@@kaylawhipple7570 according to news some of its part got burned in fire accident that occurred on civic day
So many to choose from, but Flight Deck and The Bat do have their place, they are a shot of adrenaline the rough part is part of their charm, I personally and not a big fan of the Behemoth it felt like it could have been more and almost feel robbed of a excellent experience, back in the day the Minebuster didn't have a lap harnesses and you could actually lift out as almost as much as the Behemoth
Flight Deck and Bat are too rough for me to like them.
I've went on the bat it was scary as hrll but I did it
I visited this park in 2017, and I had a blast! I haven’t ridden Yukon Striker, so my top three at this park is definitely Leviathan, Behemoth, and Vortex for me. Leviathan ranks #9 on my coaster rankings out of 140
Nice!
did you try flight deck
@@2xgamez82 Yeah, it was bad 😂
these rides look so scary but I want to go here so this list helps
It's an amazing park.
Would you like to ride Flight Deck at Canada's Wonderland again?
I like the traditional SLC trains since I rode one in Spain
Not with the current trains.
Canobie coaster have you ever been on the rage it's a swinging ride just like psyclone
Not a fan of basic swinging ships.
I saw videos and POVs videos of SLCs in Europe, since I know two in Spain, one that runs the vest trains and one that runs the traditional trains
The vest trains are far superior.
Did you ride Kranchenwagon
No
At Canada's Wonderland, what do you think about Mighty Canadian Minebuster, Wilde Beast, Time Warp and Vortex?
Vortex is good. Wilde Beast is decent. Time Warp is fine and Minebuster is sub-par.
Do you like Flight Deck at Canada's Wonderland? Why?
It uses the traditional SLC trains
No, it's very rough.
you know I must say shockwave is very intense that I might come off feeling a bit queasy lol 😂😂
It is intense.
soaring timbers is very fun the airtime that you get on it is insane
I haven't gotten airtime on that one.
I love riptide especially when it goes upside down it feels like hanging upside down
It is cool.
When Flight Deck, the Vekoma SLC, debuted in 1995 as Top Gun, all coasters the park had were smooth or rough?
Wilde Beast
Mighty Canadian Minebuster
Dragon Fyre
Bat
SkyRider
Vortex
Vortex is the smoothest of the bunch.
CW has been my home park my entire life and I have gotten season passes every year since 2016, yet I have never ridden the Slingshot or Xtreme Skyflyer yet.
I like sky coasters, but the Kissimmee one has spoiled me.
@@CanobieCoaster wdym?
Agree but I love the Bat. Hope you enjoyed yourself. I have yet to ride Time Warp and Leviathan. I admit I'm scared of Leviathan.
I haven't ridden Bat since 2010, but I hated my one ride.
This is one of the few parks out there whose flat ride collection might actually be better than its roller coaster collection.
The flats are incredible.
Canobie coaster have you ever been on jet scream
I didn't ride the one at Canada's Wonderland, but I've ridden clones of that ride elsewhere.
By the way Hopefully they'll add a top spin ride at cedar point and one at either kings Dominion or kings island cause I like riptide it's a very good top spin ride
I don't see Cedar Fair adding more top spins, especially since they removed some from their parks.
Can you do a park review of Canada’s wonderland
In the next 1-2 months I plan to.
What means "subpar"?
Below average
#24 ... I know this best as "U.F.O." at Darien Lake, the only place I ever rode it. It is far beyond a traditional Round-Up
#21 ... How slow do you have to run that to not get any inversions??? That's crazy ... and not the good kind of crazy
#17 ... I guess I'm blessed that the only version I ever rode was the one at Coney Island
#7 ... The "Space Roller" that I've ridden at the MN State Fair (and Meadowlands State Fair) looks like it went so much faster
Is Space Roller owned by Wade Shows?
Behemoth was scary, but fun. Making it more scary i can see the difference in my pov which was backrow. In back u look like u rapidly separate the track
The back has some great pull over the drops.
Canobie coaster have you ever been on slingshot
At other parks.
By the way my other favorite thing about minebuster is when you're on it you get splashed by one of the waterslides at splashworks
Haven't had that personally happen to me.
I think the bat is pretty fun as long as you don't ride it more than once it's good to take a break after you go on an intense looping coaster
It is intense.
Is this park ever full of people? I have seen two videos and both looked empty. Which is not a bad thing
It is usually busy for me and others.
Bat and Flight deck are awesome
I'm not a fan of them.
What would you rate Shockwave, Skyhawk, Skyrider, and Fly?
Shockwave and Skyhawk are great flats. Skyrider was decent. Fly is ok.
You know soaring timbers is the only Mondial inferno I've ever been on and it's pretty awesome for a Mondial inferno too bad other cedar fair parks don't have this type of ride
I wish it had a more intense program.
My favorite vortex and drop tower
Two fun ones.
