The first ever rollercoaster I went on was the Dragon Fyre, my Mom told me it was great for beginners and there was nothing that would scare a 10 year old (at the time). I very quickly learned a life lesson: Don’t trust everything you’re told, even from those closest to you. Since that day, I’ve had PTSD from rollercoasters and rarely ever go on them
I was here about 15 years ago, it was great then but wow - look at it now! Excellent video and commentary - I learned new roller coaster terms I had never heard of - many thanks!
Hey Jeff - Glad you enjoyed it! This was my first visit to the park but it seems like they've been adding new attractions almost every year. There's a new thrill ride opening up this year as well as a new kids coaster and more to come in 2024 👍
I still think Yukon Striker was the best one. Especially when you are in the front row, that hang and then drop is awesome. Got to ride it 7 times in the last 40 minutes the park was open by using the single rider line and sprinting around after it was done.
The first roller coaster I got on was the wild beast, because my dad recommended it for beginners. (I was 10.) and I remember holding on for my life to the bar above my lap. ( it was the only constraint from me falling off.) Afterwards I just stayed in the kid section.
I got a chance to visit there in 1999 and had a fantastic time riding everything that was available at that point - I definitely remember Top Gun / Flight Deck for that extra thrill of the legs dangling. The Wild Mouse brought back memories of the old one at Playland, when you always felt like you were about to ride straight off the rails in a turn.

Wilde Beast Lots of people don't like Minebuster because it's so bumpy. I actually find the roughness to be part of the appeal. It makes it feel old and rickety (granted, it IS old) when the whole pull of wooden coasters is that rickety we're-gonna-die-when-was-the-last-time-this-thing-was-inspected feeling.
@@RoamingIRaccoon I find them too much. I don't feel safe unless there are shoulder restraints. I did behemoth once and never again. I was actually terrified (not in a fun way), whereas the others are more thrilling.
@@amanda5nicole That's fair. Behemoth has massive airtime and I was terrified when I first went on it too especially with the clamshell restraint (I'm not great with heights to begin with). I actually was less scared on Leviathan cause of less airtime and least scared on Yukon striker because it does have shoulder restraints.

There's so much to do at the park! Took us two days just to hit all the coasters and didn't even make a dent in all the flat rides. We could have spent more time there for sure!
Brother I use to go there every year when I was little(went on the small rides). I have grown up and finally went on the big boy rides. I screamed my guts out. Nearly cried. Behemoth and Leviathan were crazy but! After this video I wanna go again even tho I went 3 days ago and neck still hurting. Very good video. Subscribed
My home park. I have many favorites. Yukon has a loop cause of the coaster that used to be there. Skyrider, a stand up. Heehee! Spinebuster, I call it kneebuster. But I love it.
I don’t know if I exactly 100% agree with your list (big surprise) but a lot of it I do. All of your bottom ones are so uncomfortably aggressive. On time warp, I wasn’t even off the ride and was thinking this might give me a concussion. I think I hit my head 30+ times, on that death trap. Vortex, I didn’t have a great experience with either, but if what you said is true (that every car is unattached and provides a different ride experience) I might have had a bad one. Also, the bat made me so motion sick when I was riding it, I felt fine beforehand but I couldn’t stomach the reverse flips and generally I don’t have bad motion sickness.
My head still hurts just thinking about Top Gun (Flight deck)... the first roller coaster I ever went on. That was a poor choice. Behemoth was fun, and because of nostalgia I actually prefer it over Leviathan. ... but nothing there beats riding Thunder Run with someone special to you. Great roller coaster... even for people that are not really into roller coasters.
The Leviathan is you only have a bottom seatbelt and thigh restraint. You hit zero Gs so if you have your arms up you lift out of your seat and you are effectively flying. That drop straight down while being on the front. Then when you reach that snappy bend over the parking lot. You feel that half second whip of flying right out. Yukon Striker is insanely fun, especially that drop. But you feel to safe on it imo with the shoulder restraints. Also shame they closed SkyRider. That was the only coaster without seats. You stood up on it. The amount of restraints was wild to keep you in going through those loops!
That one terrified me, but made myself do it, and then we went on a few more times. Bought myself a keychain to remind me I can face my fears, and to save money to go back lol 💜
Yukon striker hands down, but leviathan and behemoth for facing my fear of massive coasters like that with just a lap bar. Plus it’s pretty cool that we can ride some of the best in the world coasters here in Canada
I love the Time Warp, it’s my favourite ride! (Probably because I haven’t gone on any big drop roller coasters)I was sad that it was last but I knew people don’t really like it. I have never gotten any neck pain/headaches etc. That might be why it’s my favourite.😊

We are hoping to make it to Canada either this year or next year. My oldest Addison would love these places. I like coasters just not the ones that only spin. The flying one would be something I would like. Every time I see coasters I think of doing Roller Coaster Tycoon back in the day.
This hit me at Sea World a few years ago - I was on a ride with my daughter that would have been no problem when I was younger, but I sat there turning green and waiting for the ride to stop while she kept screaming with delight! I hear that as you get older your sense of balance changes so some people become more susceptible to motion sickness. Nowadays I definitely prefer fast and smooth riders rather than spinning ones!
I was there when I was about 6-7 and I'm going back while visiting family in Peterborough. I don't remember much from my last visit other than crying from the Ghoster Coaster...seeing some of these rides makes me so exited to finally go back!

I absolutely love silver streak ❤️😭 I’m not a roller coaster person. I love all the other rides but not roller coasters. But silver streak is just different. I don’t know if it’s because of the seats making me feel really safe but I just love it.
I just went to canada's wonderland today a while ago and when i went on the vortex and Leviathan I lost my voice for screaming that much sadly yukon wasnt working and behemoth wasnt to
im 13 and went on the Leviathan the first plummet at 200 feet was so scary and your body will feel like its levitating and ur about to be shot into space, then u go through the other drops after being traumatized but its so fun
La Ronde has 2 inverted coasters and the infamous Le Monstre, and is the largest wooden coaster in Canada and the tallest racing wooden coaster in the world.
I have a story to tell and it’s pretty funny So we all know that Minebuster is one of the fastest rides in Canada’s Wonderland and it was my first time and I went with my family and friends and we all thought it was a little slow train but no when we went on it we realized the huge mistake we made 😂 but it was really fun 🤩 I love Canada’s Wonderland ❤
One time on a local wooden coaster I witnessed two teenagers undo their safety restraints right before the first drop. I yelled at them in panic and they got it done up just in time. So apparently there are people out there that are willing to do dumb things.
Lol, I'll never call flight deck that. It will always be top gun to people who have been going to Wonderland since that ride was opened. I feel like some rides are missing on this... For example, how did you exclude drop zone or drop tower, whatever they call it now a days lol. Psyclone is another crazy one that I feel should be on the list. Time warp in my opinion is terrible. They used to have one there called SkyRider - that should've stayed above time warp. Although, considering skyrider was replaced with Yukon Striker, I'd say they made a good choice. My top 5 would be: Leviathan, Yukon, Behemoth, Top Gun, Minebuster
While I don’t think it’s a smooth ride, I stand by my opinion that time warp is a much smoother ride than flight deck. When I ride flight deck it feels like I could actually die lmao. and the barrel rolls where you face the sky on time warp are pretty fun
There aren't many because of the weather so all of them run seasonally. It must be hard to afford maintenance on a park that's only open half the year!
Favorite coaster at Wonderland is Leviathan but I have a soft spot for Vortex. It still holds up incredibly well despite it's age and might be my number 2. 3rd and 4th would be Yukon and Behemoth
Leviathan was the most terrifying roller coaster I ever been on. I thought I could handle it but as soon as we dropped from the top it was sheer terror for the entire ride! I felt traumatized after it. That was my first and last ride on it ever. Never again! ...But, my bf was laughing and enjoying himself the whole time. He said it was cool and fun. He loved going on it so much he went on it again!
I was VERY surprised to see your order. Rides you mentioned that are rough (e.g. Minebuster) are typically NOWHERE near the serious levels of rough & dangerous rides you'd get on Wonderland's WORST coasters (each are among the worst coasters in North America in my opinion): 17th --> Flight Deck, 16th --> Time Warp, 15th --> Wilde Beast, 14th ---> Dragon Fyre, 13th ---> The Bat I've had several family and friends cut their visits to the park short to go to the hospital (and later file complaints with Wonderland management) about the injuries they've sustained on those 5 roller coasters over the years. For years I tried to rally support against those coasters still being allowed to run despite the number of neck, back and shoulder injuries they've caused people. I no longer ride these coasters and will not let family or friends ride them without very strong warnings backed by several stories of people sustaining injuries. These coasters are beyond 'rough' and will no doubt hurt most people. On the flip side I'd say my personal top 5 are: 5th ---> Backlot Stunt Coaster 4th ---> Vortex 3rd ---> Leviathan 2nd --> Yukon Striker 1st ---> Behemoth (yes yes I know people think it's crazy to put Behemoth ahead of Leviathan, but I've been on both of these rides dozens and dozens of times and still came to the same conclusion...the airtime you feel on Behemoth is so much better and I enjoy the track layout a lot more. Both are incredible roller coasters however)! So rounding out the middle of the list (in case people are looking for another avid coaster enthusiasts experience): 12th --> Taxi Jam (I'm very serious when I recommend this ''baby coaster'' ahead of the injury inducing coasters!) 11th --> The Fly (if getting whipped from side to side with someone next to you is your thing, then this is your ride!) Now we get into some of the best ''family coasters'' you'll find in any amusement park in North America: 10th --> Thunder Run 9th ---> Silver Streak 8th --> The Guardian (sucks the 'game' no longer works because when it did this was an amazing ride/experience!) 7th ---> Ghoster Coaster (probably among the best ''transition from kiddie to adult'' coasters available!) 6th --> Great Canadian Minebuster (to avoid the rough ride you MUST ride this in the front two cars!)
Wow thanks for the great response! The rankings were based on riding all the coasters once each over two days. I'm sure this depends a lot on personal experience - I found several of the rides uncomfortable, but not unbearable. Only exception was Minebuster which physically crunched my spine and almost took me out for the day. I also tried to consider the thrill level of each ride and was a little more forgiving of a rough ride if the coaster offered more speed or inversions. Overall I'm a big fan of the smoother faster ride offered by the newer coasters and funny enough, I almost put Behemoth in number one as well, but ended up going with Leviathan because of it's size!
@@ExitThrutheGiftShop fair enough and totally support anyone who makes their points based on personal experience. :) (and yes, come join the rebels like myself who feel Behemoth is somehow better than Leviathan - although both are great). I think you & I both prefer the smooth vertical coasters over the rough side-winders & back-breakers.

the sudden stop at the end of vortex gave me a concussion
No! That's terrible!
Vortexes probably my favourite
I absolutely love silver streak ❤️😭 I’m not a roller coaster person. I love all the other rides but not roller coasters. But silver streak is just different. I don’t know if it’s because of the seats making me feel really safe but I just love it.
I just went to canada's wonderland today a while ago and when i went on the vortex and Leviathan I lost my voice for screaming that much sadly yukon wasnt working and behemoth wasnt to
Oh no! I guess it's start of the season, but you'd think those major rides would be ready to go. Hope you still had a great time,!
I went on the Ghoster Coaster today
Fun!
@@ExitThrutheGiftShopI am REALLY scared of roller coasters 😢
@@ExitThrutheGiftShopIt took my friends a long time to convince me to get on it.
@@ExitThrutheGiftShopI feel sick very easily 😅
@@ExitThrutheGiftShopthank you so much for sharing ❤
Just watching some of these coasters is nerve rattling, can't imagine actually riding them!
We were able to get on all of them last visit but it took two full days. The line for Leviathan was huge!
I rid all of them
They’re so fun
im 13 and went on the Leviathan the first plummet at 200 feet was so scary and your body will feel like its levitating and ur about to be shot into space, then u go through the other drops after being traumatized but its so fun
They’re really fun
La Ronde has 2 inverted coasters and the infamous Le Monstre, and is the largest wooden coaster in Canada and the tallest racing wooden coaster in the world.
My first roller coaster was the leviathan but favourite is definitely the Yukon striker
Both are so much fun!
Leviathan is of course the best ride at Wonderland and in North America
I have a story to tell and it’s pretty funny
So we all know that Minebuster is one of the fastest rides in Canada’s Wonderland and it was my first time and I went with my family and friends and we all thought it was a little slow train but no when we went on it we realized the huge mistake we made 😂 but it was really fun 🤩 I love Canada’s Wonderland ❤
What a great over view! Seems like an exciting place 😎Jenn
why is it that on all of the wooden rides, it has a warning saying “do not stand up”???? Like who the hell is standing up on the wooden coasters???
One time on a local wooden coaster I witnessed two teenagers undo their safety restraints right before the first drop. I yelled at them in panic and they got it done up just in time. So apparently there are people out there that are willing to do dumb things.
Where do you think AlpenFury will rank on this list?
My fav ride at Canadas Wonderland is Dragon Fyre
Nice!
I love time wamp
While I don’t think it’s a smooth ride, I stand by my opinion that time warp is a much smoother ride than flight deck. When I ride flight deck it feels like I could actually die lmao. and the barrel rolls where you face the sky on time warp are pretty fun
Very cool channel!
Hey thanks! Glad you found me :)
I didnt know Canada has theme parks. This is really fun. Full watch. LIKE 16. 👍👍👍
Behemoth is my favorite so far (i havent been on yukon striker but leviathan is really rough on the first drop
He loved going on it so much he went on it again!
behemoth is definatly my favorite
The First Roller Coaster I have been in is Wilde Beast,It was kind of shaky but i enjoyed it:)
Leviathan is the best ride i have ever trieddd
IM THERE!!!!
Cheers!
yukon striker is my fave
I went to wonderland in class groups and the first ride ive ever done was leviathan
Wow! That's a big ride to start with, but one of the best!
yep!@@ExitThrutheGiftShop
I reccomend the last 3 rides on this list
All great choices!
To me: Yukon striker is my best friend!
Great pick!
I just went to it yesterday I went on every ride
Wow! The lines must have been good - it took us two days to get on all the coasters when we went!
Vortex is my favorite coaster very unique experiance
Last one was best
We are in canada 🇨🇦 it’s kilometres per hour
I was VERY surprised to see your order. Rides you mentioned that are rough (e.g. Minebuster) are typically NOWHERE near the serious levels of rough & dangerous rides you'd get on Wonderland's WORST coasters (each are among the worst coasters in North America in my opinion):
17th --> Flight Deck,
16th --> Time Warp,
15th --> Wilde Beast,
14th ---> Dragon Fyre,
13th ---> The Bat
I've had several family and friends cut their visits to the park short to go to the hospital (and later file complaints with Wonderland management) about the injuries they've sustained on those 5 roller coasters over the years.
On the flip side I'd say my personal top 5 are:
5th ---> Backlot Stunt Coaster
4th ---> Vortex
3rd ---> Leviathan
2nd --> Yukon Striker
1st ---> Behemoth (yes yes I know people think it's crazy to put Behemoth ahead of Leviathan, but I've been on both of these rides dozens and dozens of times and still came to the same conclusion...the airtime you feel on Behemoth is so much better and I enjoy the track layout a lot more. Both are incredible roller coasters however)!
So rounding out the middle of the list (in case people are looking for another avid coaster enthusiasts experience):
12th --> Taxi Jam (I'm very serious when I recommend this ''baby coaster'' ahead of the injury inducing coasters!)
11th --> The Fly (if getting whipped from side to side with someone next to you is your thing, then this is your ride!)
Now we get into some of the best ''family coasters'' you'll find in any amusement park in North America:
10th --> Thunder Run
9th ---> Silver Streak
8th --> The Guardian (sucks the 'game' no longer works because when it did this was an amazing ride/experience!)
7th ---> Ghoster Coaster (probably among the best ''transition from kiddie to adult'' coasters available!)
6th --> Great Canadian Minebuster (to avoid the rough ride you MUST ride this in the front two cars!)
Mine buster feels more like a begginner thrill coaster than a family coaster. Suprisingly the drop has alot of air time and goes realy fast.
Behemoth is nuts... and so is Yukon,
Taxi jam, snoopy’s racing railway
Woah Woah Woah Yukon b4 behemoth
The first ever i went on is the yukon striker
I would like dive coasters better if they had the old B&M restraints because of my thighs, but they are still fun
The drop and sweeping loop on Yukon Striker are pretty amazing!
Me and my cousin went on ghoaster coaster and his seatbelt came undone and we had to hold him done and he was screaming but he was ok lol
Leviathan was my first roller coaster experience yesterday 💀
18 roller coasters
Up to 18 now - Snoopy's Racing Railway opened in May 2023!
I went on the fly and one time my belt was unbuckled and my lapbar was barely touching my lap, I was lucky I survived
One of my friends first roller coaster was l leviathan
You didn’t mention the rollercoaster where your standing up the entire time
Skyrider closed after the 2014 season :(
My favorite coaster would have to be Backlot stunt coaster
It's a fun ride!
I honeslty perfer minebuster over wildbeast. Sure minebuster is rough i agree but it was still fun.
I'm only watching this because I'm going on June 27th
