    A few have asked about the horses that were left behind. Thankfully, ALL the horses were rounded up by the outfitter with no injuries!

    Good thing you had the Ripcord insurance policy. Saved you a 2 day horseback ride back out. Dodging lifethreatening spotfires the whole way! Thanks Uncle Brad!

    12:20 love those mountain horses...used to see them when i was a little kid...we lived along the alaska highway in the muskwa valley. outfitters/transporters used to have them. i would take carrots and apples and feed them. never forgot them.

    I wish I would've hunted sheep..and I might one day, I have hunted all over North America...and I am sad to say that I never felt like I was in shape to go on a sheep hunt...but you guys....you guys are tempting me...I would have to get in shape first and I am 61..wonder if I could do it...

  • @hicx8734

    100 years ago you would've had to go through all that fire somehow to get the meat back home and theres no telling how bad that scenario has ended with people throughout the past.

    Great video. Definitely not the ideal ending for you guys.
    Apologies for a stupid question: Why firing single-shot?

    • @TheExperience
      @TheExperience  6 лет назад +1

      It is a bolt action rifle!

    • @markwheeler202
      @markwheeler202 6 лет назад +1

      Yes, I know. I've owned one for over 50 years. I asked because (at 9:27) it looks like you are feeding them one at a time by hand.

    • @joshmichnal9201
      @joshmichnal9201 6 лет назад

      He shot the 3 in his magazine and have to load a 4th is what I'm assuming is the reason for him loading the 4th single.

    • @markwheeler202
      @markwheeler202 6 лет назад +1

      You could be right. He only shot three times. One in the chamber and two from the magazine? We only actually saw the fourth cartidge being loaded by hand. So much clattering going on between shots - was he feeding cartridges by hand there too, or is it just a slow action? The bolt looks like it's about 10 inches long!

      ki ka the camp will keep it. The camp will be up there all season so that meat will feed the guides and assistants.
