      Know your limits,If you cant place a Humane kill shot then dont shoot it. Pretty simple with elevation the higher you go the higher it shoots since the air is thinner less resistance for the bullet. and you didnt hold for wind at all, idk 500-600 yards isnt far even for .308. But that sure was a hunt of a lifetime.

    • @TheExperience
      @TheExperience  6 лет назад +2

      Art. Sv. There are a lot more variables than that, and yes the calculations were properly made for that altitude, in fact countless hours of practice and years of preparation were exercised before the shot. However, I am not perfect and yes have missed before. And no matter how much I prepare and practice I WILL unfortunately make bad shots again in the future.
      You saw the entire video of how the hunt played out and I’m not afraid or ashamed to hide my mistakes from guys like you. I just wish more people would be inquisitive rather than assumptive like yourself.
      To give you more info, there was actually a few mis-calculations with distance and at no time was an animal wounded or did one suffer. Again thanks for watching.

    • @MrKenntexx
      @MrKenntexx 6 лет назад

      Shooting at high altitude(15.000+ feet?), freezing cold (-30 celsius ?) and adding to that high angel and wind.. what is the density altitude there in comparison to where you sighted the riffel in at? The high angel alone would give you a miss, if not taking in to concideration! Great video but how prepared where you guys for shooting in a place like that? D.O.P.E.? Testing at altitude?

    • @TheExperience
      @TheExperience  6 лет назад +3

      actually a lot. all was considered and tried to simulate as best as possible. However, we aren't perfect, but not rookies either...we take shooting and practicing very serious!

  • @farmerallis
    @farmerallis 6 лет назад +5

    I wish all the anti-hunters would see this because it's a perfect example of how hunting is conservation and keeps poachers from poaching.

    • @tpsin713

      Just wish locals would get a discount, we price permits out of reach sometimes for locals!

    Stop killing these big & beautiful wild sheep. Why did the goverment allow people to come from other countries to come and hunt these rare animals?

    • @proangler1838
      @proangler1838 6 лет назад +12

      Because these hunters contributed tens of thousands of dollars for each hunt that went towards wildlife conservation in that country that they would get anywhere else. Hunters do far more for wildlife conservation and habitat preservation than everyone else in the world.

    • @TheExperience
      @TheExperience  6 лет назад +3

      Thanks for watching. And you are absolutely correct. The Marco Polo is actually one of the best conservation through hunting successes!

    • @TheExperience
      @TheExperience  6 лет назад +7

      If the government didn't allow it...they would simply cease to exist in the area. Hunters and hunters dollars are the reason the animals continue to exist in the Pamir Mountains. In fact, in the short time we were there we stopped 3 separate poachers. if there was no hunter presence the poaching would eventually eliminate the species entirely.

    • @TheExperience
      @TheExperience  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks for watching.

    • @ragz8
      @ragz8 6 лет назад +4

      Maybe you didn't watch a video. These guys directly stopped a poacher from killing them in the film. The poacher didn't contribute anything to conserving these species. The guys who paid thousands of dollars to go and hunt those sheep are not only contributing that money to the community guiding the hunts but the regulatory system put in place to conserve the species, again, which that poacher did not abide by. Without hunter's money, most valuable species would be wiped out. Your one-dimensional thinking of animal+kill=bad simply does not apply to the real world.
