Thanks to hunters like these those animals dont have to worry about being poached 24/7 like they were before people realized they have value. There are very few hunts for these animals a year so over hunting isn't a threat, and again thanks to hunters these animals are now protected and regulated

They’re going extinct mostly to “poaching” for the bushmeat trade, but I don’t see the likes of Dallas Safari Club and SCI advocating for “legal” or “sustainable” gorilla hunting despite being only 200 left in the wild in some populations, so in the meantime the real “conservationists” are actually zookeepers keeping them alive through captive-breeding plus financial aid directly to in-situ conservation projects in Africa, plus we would’ve *loved* to transplant some of these goats into the wild to boost populations up without trophy hunting like we did with a good number of species. Even with just y’all, if all the zoos and aquariums in the world ended up being defunded and closing, then a whole shit-load of animals will go extinct, especially with non-game ones that are nonetheless probably even more important to biodiversity than any expensive markhor tag out there. But, to each their own.
