    Thanks for the video - I am installing this identical rack later today (I did note the price almost doubled in 4 years!)

      Hope you like it. Just used mine today as I switched from my winter to summer tire setup...

    Just looked at these on Tire Rack website - they are now $219 vs the $129 shown in this video. Quite a jump in price!

      Wow. Almost double. They probably hadn’t increased the price for a number of years, and now supply chain and transportation costs have risen quite a bit.

    This looks like one of the sturdiest, adjustable, and best looking solutions. I like the matte black finish and the rubber guards against the wall. The small lip on the mounting strip looks small for the load rating but the reviews are all positive. I’ll have to look in to this for the new garage.

    Do you think installation is the same if garage wall is cinder block?

      Not sure. You would probably need to secure good quality anchor bolts into the cinder block since there aren’t wall studs. I would inquire w Tire Rack to find out.

    How has this held up for you? I just ordered the same unit, which arrived this week. Hoping to get it installed this weekend!

      It’s been great. Very solid. And easily adjustable to fit various tire sizes. Have fun installing!

    anyway to make a hoist instead of lifting the tires? bike hoist?

    • @AutoPilotgogogo
      @AutoPilotgogogo  4 года назад

      Perhaps, but it would need to support the 50 lbs or so of the wheel and tire during lifting...
