Hello dear, first of all, I thank you for your tremendous efforts. I have a topic and you are here to help me. I have a Jeep Ranger with a 3.8 engine and I want to change the 3.6 engine. Please advise
Nice work. When I had my Jeep and hung around with jeep guys it was a lot of axle talk and what engine. Only guy I watched do a swap was a gmc vortex, turned out great lots of power.
So I am trying to do a long crank 6.0 to an 03 4l60e. If I didn't have the tools to machine it and everything, would I be able to use the shorter crank from my 5.3 and the flexplate?
I got a flexplate and spacer that was on a 4.8, the interchange said that the spacer and flat flexplate were used with a 4L80 setup, since the 4.8 had the short crank. The spacer and plate can be purchased through GM. Is that an iron head LQ4?
Can a 6.0 vortec engine be swap into a Silverado with a 4l60e is that what u are doin in video I know the 4l80 is better but I don’t have money to get both
@@TestDontguess I need to ask the same question. I'm putting a 6.0 long crank in my truck with 4L60. I've been told someone sells the coverters like you just made. Where can I find one? Needing around 2600 or 2800 stall.
@@rylanrodriguez5276 yes, I just emailed Circle D converters and told Brian what I was doing and my cam size and he built me a converter. Took a few weeks but all is good.
Quick question a 96 5.7 vortex would be a long crank (sbc, bbc) correct and you used a LS 4l60e witch the TC is 300mm and ment for a short crank . So if I do as you did in the video my LS 4l60e transmission will bolt up to my 96 5.7 vortec
Once again Jerry makes it look easy.
What starter did you use
Breathes a sigh of relief!! 👍

Hey man how did that hold up?
Thanks for putting this vid up
So you put the washer between the converter and Flexplate ?
What heads did you put on that motor?
So in a lq4 the long crank can be swapped for the short crank and short crank goes in with no problem or no fuss?
You can swap a short crank if you got one
@@TestDontguess thanks
Older 96-99 transmission is an option also
What flex plate is this
What year 6.0 do I get it from

depends if the 6.0 is a long crank or not

Any update? I’m doing exactly that on my Tahoe. Got a cast iron head 6.0 and bolting it to a 4l60
