  • Suzuki RGV250 VJ22 Running in. First road test. After all the errors were fixed in the carby, jetting set correctly and Zeeltronic settings working it has had a few trips around the block has never run perfect during tuning stage.
    It always had a tiny whistle to the engine and never thought any thing of it.
    Today I took it for a ride to try the working tune and Oh No! When I got to slow down I could hear a loud whistle that increased with revs so I rode home.
    Since being home the noise is quiet again after letting the bike cool down.
    Would love to hear peoples opinions on what they think it sounds like.
    Now to work out what the problem could be? Hope its not Serious?
    I did leave the choke on slightly mmmm.
    Check out some more RGV action

      @@2strokereptile It is mate and my older brother had a Pepsi replica RGV when I was a kid and I’ve loved them ever since.

      I had a Pepsi back in 92. I only sold it because I liked the look of the VJ22 better. Took me 30yrs to return to RGV Love riding 2 strokes.

      @@2strokereptile yeah, as far as 250s go I think 4 strokes don’t really compare. The Rgv had a good 20hp on a cbr of the era and it made that extra 20hp through about a 2000rpm band ….awesome

    Definitely the cam chain tensioner..
    It's the nylon gear in the left side casing

    • @2strokereptile
      @2strokereptile  Год назад

      There was alot more wrong than just the nylon gear. You will see the gearbox had no dowels in other video

      It was the gearbox not having dowels in place. You can see it in my other videos

    Checked gearbox oil and check the gearbox bearings

      The gearbox oil looked new when I drained it and it was smooth between the fingers. Looks like ill be taking the side cover off.
