Hi Becca! My mom actually came across your videos awhile back when she was first beginning her walk with Jesus and said how helpful they were to her for understanding the Word! So first off, thank you for having such a profound impact on her life. She recently told me to watch your videos because I am a new teacher and I also love Jesus a lot. I watched some of your videos you posted from awhile back about some of your teaching techniques, your classroom, etc. I really would love to learn more from you in this area. Either way, your videos are great and I watch them all. 😊
In liberal cities (like Chicago where I currently reside), the churches I have attended have not addressed the ungodly issues (e.g. abortion, gluttony, substance abuse) from a Biblical view that our generation is facing and will continue to face until the second coming of Christ. Without the word of God, we could not receive the revelation our bodies are not our own because Jesus paid a high cost through his crucifixion and resurrection. The best thing we can do is dedicate our lives to him and live his way that gives glory to God while resisting the temptations of this world and crucifying the sinful and carnal desires daily. Thank you so much for sharing a Biblical perspective regarding this subject. I am glad I found your channel through a comment on one of Colin Miller's videos and look forward to watching more videos from this channel. Thank you and God bless you! 🙏🏼
LOVE this! Ans I'm SO happy you're posting more! I could watch your videos nonstop! Sometimes, I feel overwhelmed by the "follow your heart" culture and unbelief of this world. Of course, I find peace and comfort from God through prayer and quiet time, but I love seeing proof that there are so many others who believe exactly what I do and just want to follow the Lord and His Word!
@@DesGardius-me7gf I do live my life as I see fit. it just so happens that it is to follow the Lord and His plan for my life. I pray that you can learn more about God and why His ways are better than ours. Have a blessed day!

@@springray2323 I've only known three women who got abortions, but all three of them had political/moral reasons for doing it, not financial. Desperation wasn't a factor for them. Maybe all three of them are outliers, and what you said is generally true. But from my experience, all thr women I know who got abortions, should watch this video.
Excellent way of explaining! I think we oftentimes forget that we are eternal spiritual beings who simply reside in temporary physical bodies. As you said, our stewardship of these temporary bodies carries eternal repercussions. 📖✝️
Yes, Becca! This is such an amazing message and you did a wonderful job addressing this topic and the truth behind it 🙏. Thank you for your boldness in Christ to speak the truth ❤
Thank you so much for this video! I've never heard this topic from this point of view. I appreciate you bringing truth to it. It was very convicting to be reminded that our bodies are not ours, but a gift from God that we are to use to bring Him glory.
I thought this was going to be a bad take based on the Title, and avoided if for several days. Thank you for this beautiful reminder!! 🥰💗 beautifully said.
This is slightly unrelated to the topic of the video (which is great, btw) but something wonderful I noticed in God's Word the other day is that the Priestly Blessing in Numbers "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace" finds beautiful fulfillment in Christ Jesus; I noticed that when we read John 1:14 we see that when the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we SEE HIS GLORY, as of the only Son begotten of the Father, and He is full of GRACE and truth. In Him we are reconciled to God, and through Him we receive PEACE. How awesome is that :)
Hey Becca! I think you are an excellent teacher and it is clear that you have chosen the right profession. You are eloquent and thoughtful and balanced and there is some good fruit coming from what you say which bears pondering over. I personally would push back and ultimately disagree with a large number of the nuances that you've chosen, but I understand and respect the logic of your choice. I appreciate your input in that it sharpens my own beliefs and I believe that is a cool function of the body of Christ--even if it seems contradictory. I also appreciate your dedication to honoring God. It is truly cool to know you are a sister in Christ and I wish you a very fulfilling life in/with Christ :)
Wanted to leave you this here addressing what you said at 01:02 - 01:05 Isaiah 55,8-9 8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. God bless you Sister
To me, it seems the concept of the body being a temple of the holy spirit in that verse refers more to the church as a whole than one's literal individual body. It's similar to how Christ is considered the churches head, but isn't a literal head. Plus, in the Greek text, the word used for "your" is plural, so it appear that what Paul was referring to there was the collective body of believers rather than just one person's body. That makes sense, since he was addressing the Corinthian church, and not a specific person.
Honestly this topic has been wrestling my mind for years now. I as a young woman myself, & the friend of somebody who had to go through in abortion in the past (her choice bc she was a SA victim & of her medical issues). Since I’ve never personally been in this kind of situation it’s hard to know what “the right” stance on it is. Especially with extremists on both sides of the spectrum screaming at each other about what is right & what is wrong… Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Becca! 😊
"Extremists on both sides" Is this a joke? One side thinks murder is bad and the other side doesn't. Only one of those is extreme. You're obviously not a christian.
@@gabenorman747 A soft word turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Correct with love, not contempt. You're showcasing the very "extremism" she's referring to, don't make assumptions of a person's character or salvation based on their misunderstandings.
@@luke7846 Thank you for standing up for me, I appreciate it! Honestly I don’t understand how this Gabe Norman person judging me of my relationship with God has to do with anything. I agree - it's super important we love women who have unplanned pregnancies and support them through it - Embrace Grace is a perfect example of this!! If you have never heard of them please check out their site! embracegrace.com/
This morning I was reading through John 1:1-18 and even then verse 14 it talks about how God became flesh and dwelt among us. The word dwelt is used in most bibles because it means tabernacle or pitching a tent. So Jesus’ body was a tent in which he lived here for 33 years. It was used to spread his word and save other, and are to be like him. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
Hi I totally agree with you, however what should a woman do in case she gets raped? What if it happens to her at a very young age like it’s often the case in many African countries? Should we still expect her to keep the baby, even though it’s such a traumatising experience for that person?
This was such an incredible insightful and wise analysis. You are gifted by the spirit to speak so clearly and with such thought. Thank you so much for sharing!
No matter how you look at it rather if it's a biblical perspective or not 'my body, my choice' is understandably admirable but it's more damaging than we think abortion arguments aside. When you eat unhealthy, you cut yourself, you smoke, you drink, and I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting but the point is other people who care should speak up for the person in question doing one or more of those things.
Regarding what you said, and I would say this even if I were not a Christian myself, I am against abortion as a means of birth control, and I even doubt if one has the moral right to choose abortion in case of rape or incest, although I can understand the reasoning of someone who would! And those who have had an abortion must have it made clear to them that the Lord Jesus Christ is ready, willing, and able to likewise forgive them!!
yes!!! thank you so much, becca!!! also when women say that, they're forgetting that it's someone else's little body inside of them. someone who has every right to life who is so precious to Jesus. I don't understand the arrogance it takes to be ok with abortion. it's disgusting. praise the Lord that every single one of those precious Iuttle babies was born into eternity and Jesus was the very first Person to hold them!!! 🤍
I loved what you said🥰 Yes, our bodies are God’s and he gives us the choice on how best to take care of them. I’ve come to understand that in the extremely unfortunate situations where a woman is pregnant due to SA or is risking there own health and life on the line, then she should have the choice to do what is best for the body God blessed her with. Rather then suffering through a traumatic childbirth, risking their life, or be brought down by PTSD or depression, a women could end the pregnancy and go on living the life God has planned for her. I’m not pro-abortion, but I am pro-choice.
Wow You've been teaching on RUclips for 10 years. I am praying and thinking about starting a channel. There had to be moments, where you felt discouraged. How did you overcome those seasons?
John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 2 Peter 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
Jesus still wanted us to make choices on our own and also, like another comment already said, what about the baby's born due to rapture for example? I see your opinion a bit critically.
I have decided instead of reading it randomly I would read the Bible start to finish. What do you do if you come across scripture you don't understand?
You have a sinned against a thrice holy God. If you have lied, stolen, and used His name as a cuss word, you have sinned. Since He is holy, he punishes sinners in the lake of fire. But God is rich in mercy to all who call upon Him. Jesus lived a perfect life and suffered and died on the cross for your sins, taking the punishment on Himself. He rose again on the third day after He died. “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” Please repent and believe in this gospel alone for salvation. Come to Jesus in faith and repentance, and God will give you the righteousness of Christ.
Hi, I really like your videos. I have anorexia, and often feel guilty for treating my body bad. I feel selfish and I'm not nice to my family because they worry about me, but it's so hard to choose recovery. Do you have any tips on how I can recover?
I used to struggle with this but my story is going to look different than yours. What I can say is learn to love yourself the way God loves you. It wasn’t until God found me at my lowest point in life and I was touched by His love. He made me new, I didn’t feel like I had to starve myself for any reason. I only cared about what Jesus thought. Food is fuel, it helps you fulfill the duties you have in Christ. You are a temple of God and should take care of your bodies needs. Don’t you love God, don’t you love yourself as he loves you? It’s a daily thing you have to work on it won’t happen overnight. Once you give control to God life gets much easier. Being in control is actually a lot of work I’ve realized. Rest in Jesus and everything will come next, God knows your true desires and He will give them to you❤️
Made in the image of God??? Highly flawed? Born into death?? The image of sin??? Girl, you gave into the lust of the flesh. You left that which you came from to unite with your desire. You made the statement by marrying that Jesus ISN'T enough for you. Why didn't Jesus fulfill you????
We turn to Jesus Christ because ........He is God (Jn 8:24) who paid for our sin debt. Johns Gospel is also known as the gospel of "Belief" ....if you take the time to mark every time the word believe or belief is used in Johns gospel, you will discover it is the key to our salvation........."belief" & not works in the slightest. Belief in what Jesus said about Himself is what matters. Many have made up definitions of who they think Jesus is. Matt 16: 13-16 are the first two question Jesus asks : Who do men say that I the Son of Man am ? Who do you say that I am? and the third question , though unspoken, is: "Who do I say that am" to which Jesus answered (see John 10: 24-30) It is who Jesus says He is that matters, as seen in John 8:24 & 58 . He is the I AM Moses talked to on Mt Sinai, We fall at His feet to worship Him in "Belief" in who He says He is. ..........that whosoever believes in him should not perish.........(jn 3:16)
“God wants us to constitutionally ban abortion, but he’s not above usin’ it to get back at the folks who tick ‘em off!” -Pastor Deacon Fred, Landover Baptist Church
Your body belongs to you, and you alone, not some fanciful immortal hiding behind the fabric of time, who can’t be bothered to prove to his alleged creation that he even exists. Don’t let anyone try and gaslight you into thinking otherwise. 1st Corinthians 6:19-20 is nothing more than words on paper, and words on paper DO NOT constitute as fact or reality.
Logical problems with your statement: 1. Contingency suggests the need of something non-contingent. 2. Science presupposes that all things have intelligibility, that is, all things by their nature can be understood. 3. Going along with that, the universe has order. It has rules and laws. 4. Humans have always thought that there must be some moral framework we are all obliged to follow, despite disagreeing on what that looks like at times. 4. Scholars agree that Jesus was a real person, even the atheist ones. This means we are only left with the resurrection as a valid point of contention. It would be, quite frankly, strange in and of itself if everyone (even people like Saul of Tarsus who were not present at the time) all had a mass hallucination. These people then went on to have their skin flayed, bodies stoned, heads chopped off, limbs pulled off, etc. No one does that unless they truly believe what has happened has happened. Furthermore, all of Catholic history acts as a sign, as does the sacrament of the Eucharist. Even then, I suggest you look up Eucharistic miracles, Fatima, and the like before closing your mind off to the possibility of God. Perhaps enough logical and even supernatural proof is out there, but you have built up a bias against it. I really suggest looking into Aristotle’s works and Thomas Aquinas’ Summa Theolgiae. 5. Whether one the womb or outside of it, a child is still a child. Location ought not change the sanctity of protecting human life. Biologists will tell you that the life in the womb is human, with potentiality you become an adult. This is why the pro-abortion scientists are usually pro-infanticide, because they carry the logic to its conclusion.
You don’t need to be a genius to figure out God exists. I wouldn’t win a Nobel piece prize for knowing a building has builder like how creation has a creator. And no, you can’t create the creator OF creation itself. Science confirms the universe is made up of energy. If scientific law says energy cannot be created or destroyed how did the earth come to be by nature?
You say that we are stewards of our own bodies, that this is a God-given gift, that we are given free will to make either foolish or wise decisions regarding that stewardship, and for which we will be held accountable by God. Do you support lawmakers taking that stewardship away, taking it upon themselves to punish women by making abortion procedures greatly more dangerous and imprisoning those who do make the choice to procure an abortion? That is the issue facing our society. Do lawmakers have the right to dictate how women manage the internal functions of their own bodies?
@@wendymtzc So you don't believe that God gives us stewardship over our own bodies? That God gives us free will? That is the premise of the FarAwayDistance's argument.
@@gabenorman747 Not everyone that disagrees with you is an atheist or a troll. It seems like you are the troll because you aren't showing God's grace to those with different opinions than you. I've seen people claiming to be Christians standing outside planned parenthood buildings yelling at young women telling them that they are "stupid whores" and that they are going to hell. We are called to be like Jesus and I guarantee you that He would not be saying these kinds of things to people.
@@whitney32592 so bad behavior means that the statement abortion is wrong is false just on that basis? Someone could be a Saint or an absolute Jerk and still be right. Im not condoning rude behavior but strong emotions come from Evil being done. Stuff like free will calvinsim vs free will or whatever the bible isn't super duper clear on those issues therfore more of a debate could be had. Same with the age of the earth. Killing the unborn is pretty blatantly wrong when God says he forms you in the womb. Not to mention that science itself shows its a life. The only way to support such an idea is through pure emotion and opposing logic.
@@whitney32592 the "Christians" you speak of are the ones who are not doctrinally sound. I've met similar ones, but never ones who do what you say. If they claim to be Christian, you need to see the doctrine they believe, because the ones who literally scream at people are the ones who dont really have it all together.
Are you referring to your partner? If so, it is not something you yourself did and I personally wouldn't see that as your sin. There is an individual aspect to sin as each person does have their own free will

@Gabe Norman Because we’re tired of people spreading bullshit with zero evidence backing it up. There is ZERO EVIDENCE to support the Bible’s claims. If you want truth, consort secular scientists, scholars and historians instead of Xtian apologists. Going to an apologist is like going to a 12 year old Justin Bieber groupie for an unbiased critique of the latest Justin Bieber album.
@@gabenorman747 Good question. I don't want to live in an echo chamber hence I seek out different perspectives that might help me better understand how Christians think.
@@visforvendetta1326 The science is pretty clear on this. The fetus gains from being attatched to the mothers body, but it is not the mothers body at all. The reason being is that the baby has totally unique DNA (formed from the union of 23+23 chromosomes from the mother and father respectively). The mothers body literally also undergoes changes to allow for the growth of the fetus, like it tones down its immune system so that it wont start attacking the fetus. Biblical sayings are based on faith yes. But there are scientific backings to promote the pro life arguments.

That is totally the Lord's timing!!!
There is no “Word of God,” only words of men. Get over it and live your life as you see fit.

@@springray2323 Murder is always wrong, regardless of financial desperation. Desperation should drive us to prayer, not murder.
Aaaaaah, so excited for this video!!!
Your boldness for Christ is on such beau display in this teaching! Excellent job!
Romans 12 talks about your body being a way to Worship God!!
I'm really excited for this video!
Can I ask what you would disagree with?

Great message! You explained this topic so well. Thank you.
I think it refers that Paul is saying to everyone at the same time but to every individual one.
Especially with extremists on both sides of the spectrum screaming at each other about what is right & what is wrong…
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Becca! 😊
"Extremists on both sides"
Is this a joke? One side thinks murder is bad and the other side doesn't. Only one of those is extreme. You're obviously not a christian.
@@gabenorman747 A soft word turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Correct with love, not contempt. You're showcasing the very "extremism" she's referring to, don't make assumptions of a person's character or salvation based on their misunderstandings.

Consistently great scriptural teaching, thank you
Hi I totally agree with you, however what should a woman do in case she gets raped? What if it happens to her at a very young age like it’s often the case in many African countries? Should we still expect her to keep the baby, even though it’s such a traumatising experience for that person?

No, it’s your body, PERIOD.
It shouldn't be 'my body my choice ' it should be 'my body God's choice'
This was such an incredible insightful and wise analysis. You are gifted by the spirit to speak so clearly and with such thought. Thank you so much for sharing!
No matter how you look at it rather if it's a biblical perspective or not 'my body, my choice' is understandably admirable but it's more damaging than we think abortion arguments aside. When you eat unhealthy, you cut yourself, you smoke, you drink, and I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting but the point is other people who care should speak up for the person in question doing one or more of those things.

Regarding what you said, and I would say this even if I were not a Christian myself, I am against abortion as a
means of birth control, and I even doubt if one has the moral right to choose abortion in case of rape or incest,
although I can understand the reasoning of someone who would! And those who have had an abortion must
have it made clear to them that the Lord Jesus Christ is ready, willing, and able to likewise forgive them!!
yes!!! thank you so much, becca!!! also when women say that, they're forgetting that it's someone else's little body inside of them. someone who has every right to life who is so precious to Jesus.

“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
Please repent and believe in this gospel alone for salvation. Come to Jesus in faith and repentance, and God will give you the righteousness of Christ.

Hosea 13:16.

Logical problems with your statement:
@@juice2307 No, _you’re_ the one with the bias.
So why should anyone listen to your words?
You say that we are stewards of our own bodies, that this is a God-given gift, that we are given free will to make either foolish or wise decisions regarding that stewardship, and for which we will be held accountable by God. Do you support lawmakers taking that stewardship away, taking it upon themselves to punish women by making abortion procedures greatly more dangerous and imprisoning those who do make the choice to procure an abortion? That is the issue facing our society. Do lawmakers have the right to dictate how women manage the internal functions of their own bodies?

@@visforvendetta1326 The science is pretty clear on this. The fetus gains from being attatched to the mothers body, but it is not the mothers body at all.
