I really enjoy coming to your channel and seeing you try different Barb builds. Have you thought about using Yen's boots? It seems like I've been using them forever, but they would essentially allow you to ditch your resistance rolls and keep Rallying Cry up permanently. They also come with resource gen as an affix. You'd have to get rid of Iron Warrior as well, but that was how I ran DB last season and it worked great. If you MW resource gen, you could eventually get rid of Starlight too. Keep up the good work!
Out of curiosity, I'm going to try to do a leap deathblow build with the 3rd blade. With vortex from spirit born and dark shroud from rogue. Finally going to try to use a rogue to master work damage per dark shroud and see if i can find a rune that will pull things to me as i leap. I think I'm being ridiculous and probably won't work but i think it will be fun
Hey so I put the build together the same way you have it minus mythic unique cause my rng is bad but I’m having issue with the resource I get to deathblow repeatedly only after I ult is there a stat that I don’t have right or something?
Probably both, need to do some materworking, at least 9/12. The mythics make a big difference, try and find a party to do bosses or craft them with runes, I did both but mainly found my mythics in bosses
I tried making deathblow work but it's just not good. I was able to get bash hitting way harder with less effort. Looks like you're getting similar numbers to me
I was wondering the same thing. Since it’s mostly a fury thing to proc banished lord’s talisman, each time, and fury didn’t change much apart from a bit less passive generation due to the stat squish. So the mechanics should still work. Good enough to clear the gap with dustdevil or weapon throw builds? No idea honestly.
@@Counterhoe yes, I think it's the only viable build in my opinion. this version is ok but only as a starter and yes you need at least a good mythic (shroud of false death) to make it work with the crown. you need the passives +1 and the resource gen (GA and double crit on masterwork or no GA and triple crit)
@@YvesDaneels the starlight aspect was nerfed into the ground. it's unusable. you would need to overheal 120% of your max HP ever time you cast DB just to get (45+fury gen modifiers) fury back assuming you were lucky enough to get a max roll aspect
@@Icy_Sparks starlight is still a possibility, just need to use endurant faith gloves. Turn all big hits into dot, and you’re never overhealing. Combined with crowded sage and around 25% dodge to provide the healing this 3 piece combo will provide a solid tank and power plant. It needs a little fiddling on the paragons (you need to be at a life total that makes enough hits be 40% or bigger, finding a sweet spot for the content you want to do).
@@YvesDaneels wait. are you telling me that the only way I can deal damage with your build is if they hit me first? did I get that right? If so: pass. I know that you will tank hits in a real scenario (not just vs a defenseless test dummy) but what if they are cc'ed and bosses are staggered? I just want to able to attack non stop with DB no matter what they do. last season you could attack, miss and hit thin air and still get your fury back. I am already pissed that I need to hit stuff to get my fury back because all it takes is a SB to oneshot my target and there goes my fury.
I'm trying to adapt a build i did in season 1 to this season, was a variant of the then kratos build, but im not sure how well it would work. I just want to be able to use Iron maelstrom
It's fun but it doesn't work well this season, we have a lot of trouble gainning our fury back. Also it's not really possible to trigger red furor ring every hit because you need to hit for 100 fury on every hit to have the bonus, so we have a lot of lost there, It's also why it's so inconsistente. Starlite aspect doesn't work even with 143% life regain. I've been able to hit as high as 850M with mine, but it's so infrequent that i've set that aside until i have more gear to try it again. But it is very fun. The shroud of false death work magic with DB tho, it was game changing on my build. Give a try to WW DD with earthquake it's awesome how good it is. With the right scaling for earth quake it's melthing everything!
it is possible to trigger the ring of red furor on every hit and get the fury back. but you are right, starlight aspect doesn't work anymore and thus the entire build doesn't work well anymore. on top of that encroaching wrath aspect also doesn't work properly.
@@barb_or_bust ugly bastard helm is weird. It just converts the final damage to fire after the damage calculations it seems. I tried paring it with %fire dmg and no extra damage. But due to that same weirdness it still works with berserk ripping so from that perspective it’s logical I guess. I got one with the ga and masterworking all on prolific fury. Got me a few extra dust devils per charge.
what if I told you that you don't need a single legendary item to play this build? no aspects, no tempers. just 12 uniques with the right GAs and you are golden, overpowering every third hit for more than 3 times (and even more because I have mid gear) the damage that you see in your video. I cleared a Pit 85 in 12 min with it.
@@barb_or_bust 4 like every barb build :) however only one is really required but it's the most annoying one. it has to be a shroud of false death with a GA on Resource Gen.
@@podio1374 sure. getting the cost to 100 or 200 fury per cast is easy. the challenge it to get the fury back... the TLDR version is: use the crown of lucion with the unconstrained key passive for a version that depends less on mythic uniques or use the crown combines with unbridled rage key passive and the ring of starless skies for the pure unique version of the build. both ways will set the cost of deathblow to 100 fury.
I got deathblow to hit for a billion damage. But I built mine differently. I use grandfather, starless skies, heir of perdition. Couldn’t get a GA overkill on deathblow but as it stands it’s at rank 37 at 858k base damage. It’s T4 viable but not the same league as mighty throw or twisters for sure.
my Spiritborn is doing tier 120s faster then this lol Gorilla overpower build. kinda whack the damage diffrence is so high they reallly fucked over barb with the str nerf.
My answer was using charge (with ancestral charge) to group enemies a few seasons ago. Runing vortex could work, though there’s better options. The trade chat conversation going on during your gear description was hilarious. Great vid, I'll give this build a shot.
